To your point, the only hiring that Matt Rhule did that didn't make sense and probably the rest of the huddle didn't think much of was Snow. Hell I didn't think he was going to make it and here we are. His vision and game planning has been for the most part good. You can dare say that this Team's better part is the defense and it has a lot to do with Snow and probably the draft picks that were used to fix that Defense. If Rhule does get the Axe, i'd honestly want Snow to stick around, he has a better head on his shoulders and his system isn't bad at all. But we will see what happens.

Name these weapons please, because your evaluation of players might be a little off. Also mediocre QB's? like wtf, we had SAM fuging DARNOLD, the fug you going on about mediocre QB's?
-
Um, how can you be consistent when you are surrounded by absolute poo? Minshew performed and lost several games but it was not because of him. He won shootouts and several games from behind. Unfortunately he was in a poo team. At least he was a proven QB with a poo roster. Also durable.
-
I was about to make a thread about it. Could have had him for a fuging 5th round pick. lol Also, iirc, there were several huddlers that wanted him instead of Sam. Honestly it would have made more sense given that you could literally given up nothing for him. Could have had him AND Jaycee. OH well, ce la vie.

Are you willing to give Rhule a third season?
Ivan The Awesome replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
At this moment in time, no. Will Tepper pull the trigger tho? If we 1-5 or lower, he's gone. Tepper is not gonna accept a certain amount of wins. I think he should just rip that band aid now and start looking for the next head coach. If they somehow turn this around and win out..... he's here for a while. -
Are we sure that it was Teppers decision to do that? I don't think it was. Signing Cam was but moving on from Teddy I do not believe it was Tepper, that was probably Rhule and Brady. which to me is real sus because Teddy was the guy that had previous knowledge to Brady's playbook. So to be honest now Teddy was probably never the problem and the common denominator was Brady. Although I can't really say it wasn't also Teddy's fault that they moved on from him.
-
I'm gonna one up you, the decision to MOVE on from Cam and not give him a shot was what really transpired this hell hole of a situation. They could have easily started Cam in IR designated to return if they didn't think he was ready to go and played WHOMEVER they had at the moment. First year coach they weren't gonna win either way, save yourself all the money and draft picks in the process, give Cam actual time to learn the playbook and time to evaluate his health. But eh...i guess Teddy was the saviour of this whole situation.
-
I mean, what did you expect him to do? who in their right mind would come in to this situation, knowing full well how ass this team is and how they are literally a months worth of losses away from cleaning house, and apply for this job? Like who? Just seems desperate to me either way. Just rip the band aid off Tepper, if you're reading this, admit mistakes were made and next time hire people to do the hiring for you.

I guess he's the fall guy. Either way, i'll count this as a W for the team on the bye week.

You Don't Know What You Got Till It's Gone
Ivan The Awesome replied to Catsfan69's topic in Carolina Panthers
The change needed to be made, it's working out for Ron, cool. Not for us. That's part of the deal. Rivera staying here was not going to make him a better coach. It was also not make this team better. You guys need to come to terms with that. Learn to leave the past behind. -
Been saying this for the longest time. Rivera screwed the pooch with all that talent. To the point that he allowed them to play while being hurt. For what? To save his job? He rode Cam's talent to the ground, which is why i wish i lived in another timeline where we won that 2015 season because after that, it all went down hill super fast.
-
lol you literally just answered your own question. First year owner. And do you really think he has no input? you think Cam was a Rhule move? Tepper has his hands in this franchise more than anyone will believe. It's his team.

Tanker's Special: The Teams Seeking a QB in 2022
Ivan The Awesome replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
lol the Jets have 2 top 5 picks right now and our 2nd. My god.. They will have to trade back to be honest. Depending on what happens to Rhule, this is actually the year they need to just rebuild and trade back for capital. Run with whomever they want, if a new regime, well they will pick up a vet, if it's still Rhule, either Cam or PJ. Whatever. -
lol CMC is injury prone. Blow this bitch up. Get what you can for CMC. Fire Rhule. Get a competent coach and coaching staff, start over.
-
Why do people keep saying that? Rhule is a fuging Tepper hiring, the man wanted Rhule, he flew out there to meet him personally at his home... Let's stop kidding ourselves here. Tepper saw his shiny toy and paid handsomely for him. Next time he has to leave this to the pros. No more meddling.

We are contenders with a good QB!!1!
Ivan The Awesome replied to onmyown's topic in Carolina Panthers
If you think this L was on Cam, you have the smoothest brain in the world. -
Why did we put John Miller back in the starting oline?
Ivan The Awesome replied to SgtJoo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Moton didn't help with the holding calls man. It all stems back to Coaching. You can't get your guys to be on the same page wtf are you doing as a coach? Then you get out coached by Rivera...RON fuging RIVERA. -
Defense did not come to play. O line is still poo. Time management was an issue, coaching staff is to blame. Also that stupid ass, we're punting, we're going for it, waste of a Time out event...wtf was that about? Y'all who are blaming Cam must have forgotten all the talk how this team is a Defensive team and all we need is a decent QB to win, well Cam is that QB and the defense didn't hold it's end of the bargain, had they come up with stops and turn overs, well this game would have been a W. Donte was beat like a Drum several times and that WFT offense RAN on us all game long. This L is not on Cam and the O. The tables have flipped this time around, the defense did not do this offense any favors.
