"What are we doing in the draft" 2022 edition.
Ivan The Awesome replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
I Rhule's really in the hot seat, I just don't want them to do something incredibly stupid and set this franchise back EVEN more than they already have. Neal or Ikweonu will be fine at #6. One of them will be there and that will be the pick. If they trade for Mayfield or Jimmy, fine but nothing more than a 3rd. If they can't trade for them fug it, run it back with Darnold. You made your bed, now lie in it. Also show that you are a coach and coach them up. -
Kyler Murray deal in Arizona getting very interesting.
Ivan The Awesome replied to NCTHFL0567's topic in Carolina Panthers
No thanks. Absolutely no thanks. -
Fair enough. This is why I wouldn't want Murray either. Only reason I want Baker is because he has proven he can win and is definitely above Darnold. Personally, rather draft a kid. Unfortunately this regime screwed the pooch on that this year.
-
He hasn't played QB all his career, he never was a good QB and his success was more on his legs and stout Defense that helped him get to the SB than him being a QB. Mayfield and Darnold talking shop and saying something they wish they could do isn't as bad. Also we all know Darnold isn't a QB either. They are just expressing themselves. I saw the interview and not once did I see Mayfield say it wasn't his fault. He recognized his up and down years. That doesn't sound like someone doesn't recognize his struggles. He mentioned the things that led to all those things, things that are all true. he's had x amount of coaches and systems and he still did what he did despite of what happened. I'd take Baker over KAP any day of the week.

He wants Kap for some odd reason. lol I rather have Mayfield than Kaepernick. At least Mayfield is a qualified QB. Kap has never been a good QB.

ELLIS L. WILLIAMS Of the OBSERVER on Jimmy G
Ivan The Awesome replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
This teams luck would be. They trade for Jimmy G for a 2nd or some stupid poo like that, then he comes in and lights it up for like 5 weeks with CMC. Then both of them get hurt. and we lose 10 straight games and win 2 meaningless ones missing out on the best QB next year and somehow, Rhule is retained. -
Make that a future 3rd round pick and you got yourself a deal. fug a 4th round pick this year. 24, 2nd, 3rd next year.

What is the impetus for the “Keep Pounding” pushaway?
Ivan The Awesome replied to davos's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't see the correlation of "keep pounding" being a Richardson thing. That makes no sense to me. It's literally a team thing, it's Sam Mills. -
It's not loading up for me, anyone else having that problem?

Outside opinions on the Panthers draft plans
Ivan The Awesome replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
The thing with that take is that people can get away with saying whatever they want and say it was from a source. That's why I don't believe anyone that says they have a source, does not matter how high in the ladder they are in. Hell Schefter and Rappaport have been caught in lies and they are still 'insiders'. No hate for Ellis. Just saying in general. I think the one huddler that has been right most of the time than not has been Verge, and that's why I tend to believe her a lot more. -
Dwayne Haskins struck by car and killed
Ivan The Awesome replied to Cdparr7's topic in Carolina Panthers
Woke up to this news this morning. It's hard to not feel something. RIP young man. I hope his family well. -
Wilks got such a raw deal in AZ. Sad that this happens at all.

Yeah. At this point, it is a gamble. In reality all these QB's are gambles. The biggest gamble of them all would be Willis, but if he works out the payout would be amazing. Just sucks to not have a 2nd round pick in a draft that has some really good Tackles and other players. Imagine if they kept teddy and rode with him instead of trading for Darnold. I bet they would have the same record but have a 2nd. lol. Oh well, ce la vie.

was gonna make a thread about this but this is good enough. If they go all in on a QB it looks like it's willis. At least, it looks like it, but this team has made some bonehead plays before.
