Gotta get to Brady somehow
-
Here’s what makes ME laugh: their 35ish old QB will account for almost $50M in cap in ‘22, they just lost 5)384 starting safeties, only have one decent CB and one good defensive lineman in Jarrett.
-
So I think with Matt Ryan’s restructuring we can clear them of selecting a QB at 4. I think we stay put at 8 and let a QB fall to us. If a QB isn’t available we get first dibs on the top corner.

Panthers sign OL Pat Elfein - 3 years, 13.5 million, 6 fully guaranteed

According to reddit this is a bad signing for us.. Not sure I trust keyboard warriors opinions before watching the film, though. -
Who’s EXCITED!? Free agency starts today unofficially!!

As much as I want a Hunter Henry or Jonnu Smith, it won’t matter how open they get if our QB can’t or won’t throw them the ball in the end zone. Ideally we get a mid tier corner and inside linebacker to really shore up our defense. -
Trey Lance on nfl network as if 12pm est

We haven't had a QB that can rip it since 2017.. It's been long enough. I'd be happy with any of the top 4 QBs. -
Just based on longevity and no negative plays since 2010.. can he be considered an all time Panther great?

Look at my post afterwards. I was looking at RW's 2021 base salary and somehow while talking to my wife and put that instead of the Aints real cap.
-
poo you’re right. I think it’s like you said closer to $70M. It’s tough trying to listen to my wife while posting lol. also I fugged up, RW has a cap of like $32M.
-
The Saints are $19M over the cap and in no way afford to mortgage the future by trading away the few picks they have and take on his checks notes 19 mil cap.

You could’ve just linked the tweet

There’s no doubt either Deshaun gets either traded or sits out. There have been reports by national level insiders that have stated he won’t play for the Texans ever again. I wonder if this topic was brought up in any interviews during our GM search

Per Joe Person: players Panthers would like to re-sign
Jesse replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don’t blame Samuel one bit. I hope to see him back, but I think our money is best spent on premier positions. I’m thinking about Shaq over Bradberry and still am floored over that decision. -
2020 has been a down year for us Panthers fans. Our franchise QB was let go, our rookie head coach didn’t get a true off season, and our NFC south rival just won the Super Bowl. On the other hand, we saw glimpses of a bright future. Joe Brady gives us a modern high powered offense, our young defensive core kept us in most games, and Matt Rhule shows he’s willing to be aggressive and take calculated risks. Now that the horror that was the 2020 NFL season is over, we can look onward to a brighter and more competitive 2021. SAINTS Cap Space: -74 million Notable Free Agents: Jameis Winston, Sheldon Rankins, Trey Hendrickson, Jared Cook, Marcus Williams, PJ Williams Outlook: The bad man can’t hurt us anymore. It looks like Drew Brees is finally going to retire and Jameis Winston is the favorite to takeover if he re-signs. The bad news for the Aints is they’re horribly over the cap and will be facing disciplinary actions after footage surfaced of Kamara bringing in a Covid positive person in the facility and refusing to wear his monitoring device. They hold the 28th pick in the draft and can still look to contend if they don’t see a big fall at the QB position. Falcons Cap Space: -36 million Notable Free Agents: Alex Mack, Todd Gurley, Keanu Neal, Damontae Kazee, Younghoe Koo Outlook: Like the Aints, the Falcons are well over the cap and need to manage their roster to stay competitive and avoid being over the hill. Their two biggest offensive starts in Matt Ryan and Julio Jones take millions of the cap and are on the wrong side of 30. The new regime said they’re looking to keep Matt Ryan, but the Falcons may look for their future QB with the fourth overall pick in the draft. Bucs Cap Space: 28 million Notable Free Agents: Shaq Barrett, Levonte David, Ndamukong Suh, Rob Gronkowski, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown, Leonard Fournette Outlook: The Bucs just won their second Super Bowl and look to be back in contention for the next two years, the duration of Brady’s contract. They will bring back their entire staff, which bodes well for the former bottom dwellers of the NFCS. They do have to overcome the potential loss of a few free agents. As long as the NFL’s golden child stays in Tampa, they’ll be penciled in the playoffs pre-season. I think most of us know what we’ll need to be competitive: clutch QB; offensive linemen; a true MLB; a corner and free safety. I think Rhule and company’s transition to the NFL and coaching in the senior bowl will really give us a competitive advantage this off season since there won’t be a traditional combine or prospect meetings. We have a new GM in Fitterer who says the foundation of a good football team starts with the line—a position that has haunted us since Gross retired. What can we expect from us in Charlotte? Who knows. All I can ask for is a team that’s competitive in every game and a healthy CMC.

I’ll have what you’re having
-
Incoming refs calling penalties on the Bucs to make it look like it was evenly called. Sound familiar???
-
Fug you Mike Remmers
-
These refs are just handing the game away
-
I’d rather have my lower half put through a wood chipper and subsequently fed to me than ever see Brady win another Super Bowl. So yeah, I’m rooting for the Chiefs.
-
What? I’m not lashing out at anyone. It’s not my money, they can do what they want with it.
-
It doesn’t matter what the percentage of their pre-tax paycheck is. It’s about the lack of financial literacy and lack of planning for many athletes. I didn’t necessarily imply the two jabronis from Tampa, but athletes as a whole.
-
Not as nearly much as my colleagues in other states
-
Florida is just making poo up. But the fact that some of these athletes just throw away $1,000 like that shows why so many go broke.
-
Whatever they do it sounds like Fitterer is going to at least explore the idea of trading for him at a minimum. Would the Seahawks still be competitive since 2016 without Wilson? They’re a sub .500 team without him. What happened to the Broncos since Manning left? I’m sure Elway would trade his 2016-2018 drafts for a guy like Watson. I don’t even want to bring them up, but look at the Patriots with and without a franchise QB I hope everyone sees the same conclusion I see—you’re nothing in the NFL without a franchise QB.
