  1. Miami might not be as well positioned as we think. Houston doesn't regard Tua as a "an adequate replacement for Watson" Source: A three team trade? Have we ever seen that in the NFL? Source:
  2. I had a vasovagal reaction to a flu shot one year. Put me on my keister and I was sent to the hospital for evaluation.
  3. Not playing Moton on the left continues to bewilder. When Ronnie Stanley went down for the Ravens, they slid Orlando Brown from RT to LT with little issue.
  4. There's been speculation that Peters was the brains behind many of Lynch's best moves and Lynch did whatever he could to keep Peters in the building. Peters reportedly loves working for the 49ers and loves living in San Fran. Things got close to Peters being hired in Carolina so Lynch gave Peters some incentives to stay put (probably a raise and some other stuff Peters wanted).
  5. Middle linebackers are like rims. They are the finishing touch. Putting really nice rims (LB) on a car with a lousy engine (QB) or a bum transmission (OL), or a rusty chassis (DL/CB) is a complete waste.
  6. If it's anything like the site I write for, yes, you do get paid, but it's not close to enough to live on.
  7. I'm really confused why all these sites have different numbers. https://covid19-projections.com/us-sc lists 884 deaths. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/south-carolina/ lists 905 Should at least something as straightforward as deaths be the same? https://covid19-projections.com/us-sc says over 9k newly infected https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/south-carolina/ shows only 1500 new cases. I'm very confused.
  8. I have this same mask. Love it. I can wear it for hours with no issues.
  9. CDC says U.S. has ‘way too much virus’ to control pandemic as cases surge across country https://www.cnbc.com/2020/06/29/cdc-says-us-has-way-too-much-virus-to-control-pandemic-as-cases-surge-across-country.html "You've lost. You just don't know it yet." - Searching for Bobby Fischer
  10. Charleston basically taking a survey on masks. https://abcnews4.com/news/lowcountry-and-state-politics/city-of-charleston-gauging-residents-support-of-proposed-mask-ordinance-over-phone
  11. 4.3 million homeowners missed their mortgage payments last month https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/22/success/mortgage-payment-delinquencies-in-may-coronavirus/index.html That seems like a lot of people.
  12. I live in Charleston. When I'm out and about, its about 50/50 most places. I did take my car to a local Pep Boys this weekend to get serviced and none of the Service Managers were wearing masks. I was only one in the place that was. Edit: There does seem to be this belief that the beach is somehow immune. When I was at IOP, I saw very few people at the beach with masks.
  13. SC wouldn't surprise me, but we really don't have a city like Charlotte to host it. All our major cities (Charleston, Greenville/Spartanburg, Myrtle Beach) are small compared to Charlotte.
  14. Atlanta Comic Con 2020 lives on! That’s right—the July 31-August 2, 2020, Atlanta Comic Con has been green lit to proceed.
  15. Isle of Palms parking lots already full, traffic heavy during Memorial Day Weekend. IOP is one of the beaches near Charleston. https://www.live5news.com/2020/05/23/isle-palms-parking-lots-already-full-traffic-heavy-during-memorial-day-weekend/
  16. Evictions, foreclosures in South Carolina resume Friday https://www.live5news.com/2020/05/14/evictions-foreclosures-south-carolina-resume-friday/
  17. Fauci praises South Carolina’s coronavirus response as one he would ‘almost want to clone’ https://www.postandcourier.com/health/fauci-praises-south-carolinas-coronavirus-response-as-one-he-would-almost-want-to-clone/
  18. This headline doesn't quite match up with the article. LA County is slow-rolling reopening like lots of places. But this headline makes it sound like stay at home keeps everything closed through summer. The text of the article doesn't seem to jive with that.
  19. Ten years experience, but my job is stable right now. Hope you find someone you can help.
  20. Close contact businesses, including salons and gyms, in South Carolina can reopen on May 18. Dorchester District 2 and Berkeley County School District hosting in-person graduation ceremonies in June.
  21. One of our local beaches (Folly Beach) did this. They're now being sued by the city of Charleston to open up and remove the roadblocks.
  22. NYT has an interesting historical article on pandemics today. https://nytimes.com/2020/05/10/health/coronavirus-plague-pandemic-history.html Interesting things I learned: The 1918 Spanish flu evolved into the flu that comes around every year. The Hong Kong flu of 1968 still circulates as a seasonal flu. My takeaway: COVID 19 isn't going away. It will come back as another seasonal flu.
  23. I'm stunned not to see SC on that list of bottom five. Our education department's motto for the longest time was "thank god for Mississippi" because in most rankings we were 49th and Mississippi 50th.
