Gotcha.  That makes a lot more sense lol.

Dopp must by a NY Jets fan.  Hard to not have him ranked.    Teddy finished I think the 19th fantasy QB.  And that was without CMC's magic inflating his numbers.

Dopp is actually a huge Lions fan.

So almost the same thing as being a Jets fan....

Do they have Matthew Stafford as the 21st ranked fantasy QB? or is there another Matthew that I am not thinking of?

The Matthew in the pic refers to Matthew Berry, the analyst you see doing most of the talking. He has Darnold ranked as QB21, Field is Field Yates, the other analyst in the picture. He has Darnold as QB24. Daniel is Daniel Dopp, their producer, and he did not rank Sam Darnold.

For the record, Matthew and Field both have Stafford as QB12, Daniel has him at QB13. It's hard to be a top 10 QB in Fantasy Football if you don't offer something with your legs.

Penei Sewell struggling at RT right now for the Lion's so look on the bright side. Rookies take time at T in the NFL and looking better then a top 10 can't miss pick counts for something I would think.

I liked Brown the 1st gm and think he held up ok this game just give him a yr and I think he competes for the RG spot.

Sewell hasn't played football in a year (opted out for COVID) and the Lions are asking him to change from LT to RT. It's not surprising at all that's he's struggling a little bit.

  4. My biggest issue with Rhule at the moment is I'm getting the impression that he's a "run the ball and play good defense" kind of coach. Just like Capers. Just like Fox. Just like Rivera.

Maybe it's the huge influence Snow has. Maybe it's all the draft picks. Maybe it's all the times we try to run it in the red zone. I don't know. But that's a hard way to win in this offense focused league.

At the end of the day you have to either trust in the HC / GM or go find another team to support because Rhule and Fitterer will be here for a while.

I can fully support the HC/GM and hope they have tremendous success this season while still thinking they may have made a mistake in April.

And I'll still be a Panthers fan long after they're gone (which I hope isn't for a long time).

One of the top 4-5 teams in football the past couple years. If they get a thing or two to go their way they could find themselves playing for it all at the end of the season. Titans and Chiefs are the teams at the top with them in the AFC.

Tennessee is poised for a regression. Their weak division is the only thing that will save them. Henry can't sustain the level of usage he's seen over the last two seasons and Tannehill is a different QB without the threat of Henry.

It occurs to me that I'm really glad we got a name like "Panthers" because the suggestions that I'm seeing put forth for Washington mostly suck.

I admit what I'm about to say is a little silly.

An analysis of Super Bowl winners would show we'd be more successful with a name like Bankers. Teams with some sort of human mascot (Steelers, 49ers, Patriots, Packers, Cowboys, Chiefs, Buccaneers, Raiders, Redskins) dominate the list of Super Bowl winners. Teams with feline predators (Bengals, Lions, Jaguars) have traditionally struggled.

If you can get over Darnold's past ..get over PJ's

Darnold's past was with a different team, scheme and coaching staff. PJ's past was with the same team, scheme and coaching staff. There's a greater chance Darnold can have a different result than PJ.

But I get where you're coming from, though. As someone who once championed the cause of Dameyune Craig to the old panther-net listserv, I understand falling for a QB and trying to convince the world he can be the guy.

  9. The question is was his incredible offense in college (which made him a hot name) a product of his coaching, or a loaded roster (Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Joe Burrow, Justin Jefferson, Terrace Marshall, Jamar Chase)

My Giants fan buddy was talking about if Daniel Jones can just be not terrible they might be able to take the division with 8-9 wins. He's probably right.

Both times a division was won by a sub 500 team (Seattle Seahawks in 2010 and the Carolina Panthers in 2014), the following season, it took ten wins to win the division. Will that repeat for the NFC East in 2021? Who knows.

Nagy has been saying consistently that his plan is to stick with Dalton as their starter for a while, maybe the whole season.

It's not a bad practice to let a rookie sit for a year, but a lot of people question just how committed to that strategy he'll be if the Bears start losing.

There's a real chance Chicago opens 1-3. There's virtually no way to keep Fields on the beach at that point.

if you show up at BOA thinking you are going to see the starting units this weekend.....I would think you might be disappointed.

Thread title IMO is a tad misleading based on what Matt Rhule actually said.

Honestly, I'm just thrilled we, as fans, get to show up at BoA at all. They could put the third string out there, I wouldn't care or be disappointed. It'll just be great being back inside the stadium.

  13. We're stuck with Sam so let's remember:

This is the same Ravens team that forced New Orleans into six turnovers. They're pretty good at football.

We also looked better day two against the Colts then we did on day one so maybe things improve tomorrow.

    It might actually be PJ

Whatever his weaknesses on the field might be, PJ has always struck me as a good team guy. If he was on here, he'd be supportive of Sam and Will. He just strikes me as that type of guy.

Also--unless PJ is replying during practice, it ain't him.
