I usually go with a MLB (Morgan, Kuechly), but I think 21 is my next jersey purchase.

Pretty clear that PJ is Rhule's guy. Neither of them are good enough to be the backup but this team had a lot of holes to fill and you can't address them all at once. Backup QB is pretty far down the priority list.

I hope he knows something that the rest of us don't.
The crazy thing to me is that Rhule's one NFL stop was as an Oline coach. You'd think he'd know how important it is for these guys to gel.

Newton .5 is Justin Fields - it's the only reason I can point to as to why so many on here are in love with him.
He kinda reminds them of a watered down version of Newton.
It was the Clemson game that really sold me on Fields. He took a big shot, and wasn't 100% after it. But despite that, he gutted out the game and got his team the W. That night, I said the kid was going to be a good one.

Brady might be a good OC, I don't know. I hope he is. I do wonder how much of the 2020 season that made him a star was his coaching versus the tremendous players he had.
LSU teams are always stacked with talent, no doubt, but I think you'd have a hard time finding another LSU team stacked with as much talent on the offensive side of the ball as the 2020 Tigers.
- WR Ja'Marr Chase So - 1st round 2021
- WR Justin Jefferson Jr - 1st round 2020, 2020 OROY (Sporting News), 2020 Pro Bowl
- WR Terrace Marshall Jr. - 2nd round 2021
- QB Joe Burrow - 1st round 2020
- RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire 1st round 2020
- Lloyd Cushenberry - 3rd round 2020, starting center for Denver
- Damien Lewis - 3rd round 2020, starting right guard for Seattle. Named to the Pro Football Writers Association's All-NFL Rookie Team in 2020

Kickers don’t exactly get traded for high picks, a 7th is par for the course.

Who's gonna start the thread about all the Pats reporters saying that Mac Jones has won the starting job? Cam lost his starting job to a scrub rookie partly because he wasn't vaccinated and had to miss a chunk of camp due to covid protocols...
Media has been trying to anoint Mac since day 1. Bill hasn't said a thing.

Just to play devil's advocate here, that means 3 of the top FAs signed this off-season at positions of need are injured (Erving), look bad (Elflein), or gone (Perryman). Not ideal.
40 minutes ago, Basbear said:True, I gave his FA signees 2/10.....but he had a early looking 9/10 draft to makeup for that. Honestly the FA is like the draft, hit on 2.5 out of 7........(two starters and one top backup/ST ace type) thats a good haul, thats the same for FA.
Lesser known fact, majority of free agents take one full year to produce like the team/GM/coaches intended.
Season has not started, but I agree Finesserer has to do better come FA....but ELf/Erv may play out of their minds this year, dont know til the real games start....odds are against them..
Fitts more of a college guy. I think with Dan Morgan coming in as our pro guy, next year we will do better with FA.

gonna need more kickers
Fletcher's bad snap is almost as important. Coaches have to have faith in him or he'll go to the PS for a year and we'll keep JJ.

It’s an interesting thought but I doubt Rodgers picks the Panthers. Stafford didn’t want to come here.

Didn't see a thread on this already.
The team signed German kicker Dominik Eberle, waiving safety LaDarius Wiley in a corresponding move.

FB is a dying position.
Not surprised about the lack of emphasis of having a "true FB" on the roster.

He’s not. He’s a low end quality starter that’s really a 3/4 stringer in any other teams NFL.
There's this great site called Ourlads.com that will let you look at every team's depth chart. You might want to spend some time there before you make claims like this.

Touchback percentage is extremely overrated
If this is a big deal to Rhule, it's another point that puts him in the 'run da ball and play good defense' mindset of coaching.

Mac Jones may have a winning season if the Patriots Shield of Protection is on him like Brady had. If you touch him the penalties will come.
He's not old enough to get those calls.....

Jacksonville might drop their kicker. Lambo struggled last night and they are no strangers cycling through kickers. They went through 6 last year alone.
They went through 6 last year because Lambo was hurt and on IR.
Edit: but even if you're right, that's still only three teams to worry about instead of 7.

Which is why I'd trade for one.
Teams head of us on the wire:
1. Jacksonville - Josh Lambo
2. NYJ - Matt Ammendola
3. Houston - Kaʻimi Fairbairn
4. Atlanta - Younghoe Koo
5. Cinci - Evan McPherson, Austin Seibert
6. Philadelphia - Jake Elliott
7. Detroit - Randy Bullock, Zane Gonzalez
I don't see Jacksonville, Houston, Atlanta, or Philly being a real threat to grab a kicker on the waiver wire. Detroit probably won't either. So really there's only NYJ and Cinci to worry about.

We are #8. Until week 1, the waiver list if the same order as April's draft before any trades (so Houston is #3)
