I know this isn't Panthers related, but holy sh*t that sucks for him and the Titans. What's the theme here?........................ Turf. That game had like 9 leg injuries, two of which seem to be season ending. Can the NFL please do away with artificial turf? We saw it happened to our own guys in CMC and Horn too. At what point does the NFLPA gear up and refuse to play on any field that isn't grass?

Turf might have played a role, but he also put some serious mileage on his tires last year. The guy had almost 400 touches last year.

next question is if we can do this against better teams.

Opposing teams will load up the box and play single high. We'll be in a ton of 3rd and 6. It'll be up to the entire passing offense (QB, RBs, WRs, TEs, OL) to convert and force them to back off.

  3. Gilmore erased Pitts. I loved seeing that.

Also, I think after today's announcement by Ridley, it's clear we made the right choice with DJ over Ridley in the draft.

(That said, I hope Ridley gets all the help he needs.)

  4. Bill Belicheck destroys rookie QBs. I know PJ is not technically a rookie, but he's had very few live game reps. Plus, Bill will see from the Falcons game that we are playing Foxball (run the ball, play good defense). He'll have the box loaded and dare PJ to beat him. I don't anticipate that will end well for us.

Funny how the Huddle was talking Playoffs just a few short weeks ago. There was happiness.

A few losses later. This place is up in arms.

Asking for patience in this place ain't going to happen.

To be fair, you weren't "asking for patience".

You were trying to make two arguments in favor of Sam

    A) Sam would be a better QB than Dak if he had Dallas' OL and weapons,

    B) Sam could "read the field".

Both of your arguments are wrong and people pointed that out.

You are just speculating. Reading the field? Throwing downfield? Sam can do those as well.

    Agree to disagree.

We have visual evidence of his inability to see the field in the horrific interceptions he has thrown with time and other options.  When was the last time he completed a deep pass? Week one?

There have been several detailed breakdowns posted to the Huddle this week demonstrating Sam's issues reading the field. He's got the arm to throw it all over the yard, but he's not processing even basic QB 101 stuff to know where to fire that cannon of arm of his.

I'm sorry, my guitar playing friend, but I'm not giving up yet.  Rhule will put some fire under some asses and we will win.  21 Panthers - 10 Atlanta.

If the game was at home, I'd have more optimism, but even our 15-1 team dropped the game in Atlanta. I hope Darnold bounces back from a bad showing against the Giants and can move the team.

    Falcons 20

    Panthers 13

Obviously not the 3rd but the Chiefs got Creed H. at pick 63 and he is playing lights out at center for them.  There are starters to be had in the late 2nd and 3rd just pick them instead of fuging trading back for a wr3

That's really strange to me. All I've heard is how the Chiefs OL is the reason they are struggling this year and their OL is why Mahomes got hurt and couldn't finish their last game.

So here is our roadmap from here on out.

    1. Go the rest of the season with Darnold, maybe win 1 more game

    2. Draft OT Neal next draft. Do NOT draft a QB. This staff will ruin him to save their sorry asses. Let Rhule continue to be delusional about winning with his dumpster dive QBs. Let him start the season with a low tier FA QB like Jacoby Brissett or Mariota. DONT TRADE DRAFT PICKS FOR A poo QB LIKE U DID WITH SAM!!!!

    3. Fire Rhule and his staff at the end of 2022 after another <= 5 win season.

    4. Start over with a new coaching staff in 2023. Hopefully we will have a new owner then as well. Draft a QB and plug him into a decent core.

Why not give it one more year until 2024 and do a package deal of Riley/Williams from Oklahoma like Arizona did with Kingsbury/Murray

Yep. He doesn't want to come here and Stafford didn't want to come here.

Two elite QB's that are avoiding this place. No Bueno.

I believe this means moving forward we are a draft only QB option.

The top of the 22 QB draft class isn't looking like it has many great options. Certainly none as good as 2021 did.

So your trade the player that has the best work ethic on the team, who is also the #1 leader for a guy who has allegations?! This would be a major shift in terms of locker room chemistry, and one that we should not make. If we're getting Deshaun, we need CMC. DJ Moore is not a leader. We lack massive leadership on offense.

Also, about those injuries. It's too soon to call CMC injury prone. It's not too soon to say that this coaching staff is clueless when it comes to preventing injuries though. The strain could have been avoided.

McCaffrey will have missed 18 of 24 games with injuries since he signed his big deal. He can't help you from the sideline and his "leadership" hasn't seem to have helped much as they've lost the last four games.

Just to state my position clearly: Without the allegations, it's a no-brainer to do CMC for Watson. The allegations make the whole situation complicated.
