  1. We do. The story is well documented.
  2. If we're going to do this, Tepper/Fitterer have to protect 2023 draft picks and minimize free agent signings in order to maximize 2023 comp picks. No trading of future picks. No free agent signings until after the comp pick window.
  3. I hate to sound like a broken record, but take a look at next years opponents. We'll be hard pressed to get five wins again.
  4. C) Rather than admit his error in hiring Rhule, Tepper can try to sell the "rock star" OC hire as a reason to expect a better season on 2022.
  5. I imagine it will be difficult to convince strong candidates with any other viable options to join the Panthers coaching staff. Surely, the entire NFL knows how tenuous Rhule's situation is.
  6. Bryce Young - 6′ 0″ 194 lb Kyler Murray (Combine) : 5'10" 207 Young needs to put on about 10 pounds between next year and before the Combine.
  7. Looking at our opponents next season, I'd be surprised if we win 5.
  8. Might be better to check out a month or so after the next round of invoices go out. That should be next decision point.
  9. PJ Walker signing indicates Rhule will be retained and has full roster control so when Sam will definitely start against in 2022.
  10. Biggest sign yet that Rhule is being retained and even more, he still has roster control.
  11. As long as they don't move, I'll always be a Carolina Panthers fan. I'll still wear my gear and hope for the best. But if Rhule is retained, I won't be following them as closely. No monitoring of training camp or anything like that. Certainly won't take my yearly pilgrimage to Wofford to see one practice of training camp. We normally go to one home game a year, but not next year. So still a fan but significantly less invested.
  12. Don't be shocked if after the "thorough search" Rhule decides Nixon was the right person for the OC job all along.
  13. I haven't heard anything more about the injury Matt Corral sustained in his bowl game. That may have an effect on his evaluation and where he goes in the draft.
  14. I've been part of two companies that were acquired. This kind of thing is what the acquiring company ALWAYS says. In my experience it's proved be either an outright lie or a "well, that's what we wanted but things have changed and now we're fully integrating [previous company] into [new owner], oh, and BU-BYE."
  15. The "elite defense" is largely a mirage built on the backs of performances against struggling offenses and rookie QBs. Against good offensive teams like Tampa, Minnesota and Dallas, they look far from "elite".
  16. BOB the GM got BOB the coach fired. He actually did okay as just a coach. We'd presumably go back to E/P which would benefit Cam if we brought him back. I'm more in favor of implementing a Shanahan style offense like they have in SF, GB, Cinci, etc.
  17. We are getting the 6th pick and then likely trading it to get a 2nd to replace what we foolishly gave up for Darnold.
  18. That search for the next McVay lead Cinci to Zac Taylor and Green Bay to Matt LeFleur. Those both seemed to have worked out okay.
  19. As long as those "investments" don't include trading future 2023 draft picks, cool. If Tepper insists on keeping Rhule for 2022, at least don't let him ruin 2023 for the next regime.
  20. Tampa could fall as far as the 4th seed with a loss to the Panthers:
  21. That's a good point. They could fall as far as the 4th seed with a loss. They may need/want to win.
  22. Especially given the scheduled next year. There aren't any Jets/Texans type of teams. Maybe a rebuilding Pittsburgh or Atlanta. That's about it.
