Guys in the XFL were in the XFL for a reason. If we played XFL caliber defenses, his XFL stats might be relevant. Since we don't, only his NFL stats are relevant.

Rumors said he offered our 2011 first rounder to move up to #33. Thank goodness they said no. Our 2011 first rounder turned out to be a pretty good player.

I don't see where the Panthers have the resources to make a competitive offer to the Jaguars. I wouldn't want to give up a 1st for Minshew, who would hopefully be a backup QB, and we don't have a second round (or a fourth round) pick. Those belong to the Jets after the Darnold trade.

Can you do the same exercise for 1st round CBs?

Kudos to @ncfan and @shaqattaq. It always easy to go back years later and say 'oh we could have had X' but NCFan was right here moments after the pick with "just with Chauncey Gardner-johnson sitting there, I wouldve jumped on him." and Shaq is right there in agreement. I never get on someone for a bad take. If you put your takes out there, you're gonna put out some terrible ones eventually, but I like giving people kudos when they get it right.

Sorry to hear about this and wish you a speedy recovery. I hate to sound pessimistic, but after eighteen months of dealing with this, I just don't think we're going to beat this thing. We're going to have to learn how to live with it someway, somehow. (Note: I am fully vaccinated).

If I recall the story correctly, Rivers said he would consider it for a contender. I certainly hope we're in a contending positon if we need to call him.

You, my friend, watched a very different game than I did.

And if some of the other receivers hadn't made nice plays to catch balls thrown behind them that percent would have been worse. We can play the hypothetical game all day long it won't turn PJ Walker into an NFL backup.

I was not impressed with PJ. Under 50% isn't going to cut it in this league. He has to be more accurate. That said, he's clearly better than Grier. We're in trouble if Sam --who has never played all 16 games -- misses time.

If you're planning on watching this on NFL Network tomorrow, it'll be the Indy broadcast. I've been watching bits and pieces of the various games NFL-N has been carrying. It's always been the home team's broadcast.

The coaches also have more control over the situations (down & distance, red zone, 2 minute, player X versus player Y) that they want to get reps in the joint practice. In the preseason game, the coaches just have to deal with whatever situations present themselves.
