Payton is going to get at least 20 million per year, so more likely 5yr, 100M.

I'm fairly certain we still need another Rooney interview before we can officially hire anyone.

I'm going to get so much grief for this but: Parsons > Burns

Gotta go for two, right? You can't put the kicker back out there again?

Why did Payton take the interview if he doesn't want to come here? Be pretty easy for him to say, "thanks, but no thanks." -
The only answer.

Panthers receive permission to interview Sean Payton

One of the reporters attributed it to a league source in one of the articles breaking down the end of Rhule's tender. I don't recall which one. It was not something "made up on these boards." -

So Fitt is counterbalancing Tepper's "not easy to work for' reputation. Interesting. -
Burns is much better suited to a 3-4 base.

What if Stroud doesn’t declare for draft…

2011 is when the rookie pay scale went in. That's part of the reason for the discrepancy. Locker's agent probably should have known that the rookie pay scale was gaining momentum and advised Locker to go in 2010. -
Between cuts, FA, and the draft, the locker room next year will be different. A new head coach will inevitably bring in some of "his guys." It happens with every team that hires a new head coach.

Goff is under contract until 2024. Why is he on this list?

If you're hoping for a TE, might be good to remember that Ben Johnson was part of the Lions staff that traded away TE Hockenson (inside the division, no less.)

"sometimes when the game gets tight, coaches want to get conservative and lean on the run game." - Greg Olsen Sounds like he's talking about Ron...

Panthers receive permission to interview Sean Payton

Then I would expect a report soon that despite receiving permission, Payton will not interview with us. If Payton does interview, I think it's fair to question the accuracy of Glazer's information/source. -

It wouldn't be. They would fire him if they had a backroom deal to know they could get Payton. Chargers OC Joe Lombardi came from Payton's staff in New Orleans. I'm sure they still talk (off the record.)
