I think the concern among some observers is 2022 could be another year like 2013. I really don't know enough myself to say.

He should put Trubisky in next drive for Buffalo.
-
If that first TD Buffalo scored in the second half didn't seal the game, that rediculous catch by Davis just did.

Not sure. It was a reminder of how long after the season Pederson was let go

We weren't discussing the merit of the pick. We were discussing if teams will take IOL in the top 10.

Colts took Quinton Nelson sixth overall. It's rare, but it happens.

This HC Rhule guy is just downright embarrassing
trueblade replied to saX man's topic in Carolina Panthers
Jimmy G isn't exactly a world beater either and SF gave up three 1sts to draft his replacement, but he's suiting up this weekend, too. -
Super Wildcard AFC: (3) Bills over (6) Patriots My least confident pick. Bill Belichick teams are amazing in January but I have to believe the disparity in talent at QB is too much for even Bill to overcome. (2) Chiefs over (7) Steelers This shouldn't be close. (5) Raiders over (4) Bengals Young Bengals team gets good experience but falls to Las Vegas. Call it the spirit of John Madden, but there's just something to this Raiders team. NFC (2) Bucs over (7) Eagles This game will be closer than people think. I wasn't comfortable picking against Belichick but there is no chance I'm picking against Brady. (6) 49ers over (3) Cowboys. Cowboys defense is built on speed. 49ers are built on power. McCarthy is fired on Monday and Kellen Moore promoted to keep him from being a candidate for the open jobs. This will also be the game that convinces Rhule you can win with running, defense and a JAG QB while not realizing Darnold would have to improve quite a bit just to get to JAG level. (5) Cardinals over (4) Rams Rams all-in, win-now comes to s crashing halt. Cardinals play better on the road. Stafford has shown he was part of the problem even in Detroit. Remember, all predictions wrong or your money back.

Reddick or Burns, who you keeping? Why?
trueblade replied to BurnNChinn's topic in Carolina Panthers
I guess I'm confused on the context. Burns is under contract for next season and 2023. Reddick is not. There's no choice to be made here. The choice is whether or not to bring back Reddick. As much as I loved his play, I'm not in favor of giving him more than a 1-year deal or possibly using the Franchise tag. If the discussion is whether we should trade Burns, I would be in favor, especially if we can get back a 2023 draft pick. 2022 is already lost if we keep Rhule. We need to stockpile resources (cap space, draft picks) for the new coaching staff in 2023. -
Rhule set to appear on WFNZ Thursday morning
trueblade replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Horn was a dog. Pre-injury. The truth is we really don't know how he'll look going forward. -
This could easily be the the epitaph of Matt Rhule's tensure for the Panthers if he lasts one more season.

Multiple analysts ridiculing Rhule's comments
trueblade replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
It occurs to me that if Rhule was uncomfortable taking a Guard at 8, he is unlikely to take a Center at 6. -
Rhule truly wants a Run, Run, Pass, Punt offense. In 2022..

Rhule set to appear on WFNZ Thursday morning
trueblade replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Most of the Mac Jones hate came from the Pats dumping Cam for him. Over his last four games, it was really just the NO games where he looked awful (3 pics, completing less than 60% of his passes). He had a terrible INT against TB, but for the most part he played the same safe, smart, conservative game he played all season. The more concerning stat if you're a New England fan is they went 1-3 over their last four. This seems to play into the narrative that they have to rely on their defense and running game to win. Mac doesn't seem to be able to take them over the hump yet. Maybe after a NFL off-season he'll be able to, but Bill has handled his rookie well. They might even beat Buffalo this weekend. -

This can't be real. -

And given Slater's performance. It's one thing to think that in the pre-draft process. Scouts miss on evaluations all the time. But to say it after you have 17 games of NFL tape with Slater playing well at LT? Yeah, not good. -

In case you are out of the area and didn't hear the interview, he's what Rhule said about Slater. As @Zod said, I too, am less confident in Rhule than I was yesterday. -
Hey everyone Tepper is busy right now. Give him a break!

I do like the Kubiak system. I just hope Klint can run it as well as good dad did.

I wonder if Pederson will want Groh if he gets a head coaching job this cycle.

This can be a playoff team next year if we bring Cam back......
trueblade replied to tukafan21's topic in Carolina Panthers
I adore Cam. I stay out of Cam discussions on here because I figured out I can't talk about him rationally. I'm still too emotional about him. That said, given our opponents next year, it would actually take improvement from the team to get to five wins. There aren't any Houston/Jets style teams on the schedule. Maybe the Falcons, but you know we'll split with them. -
I'm starting to think Perryman saw how poorly the coaches run the team after he signed and did whatever he could to get cut/traded.
