It's also possible that Goodell could suspend Watson for one year, but then count the 2021 season as "time served". That would allow Watson to suit up Week 1.

And you'd be sacrifing your job to help set up the next coach. I don't see Rhule doing that.

Tepper is following the Pegulas' trajectory pretty closely. As I said after he won the bid, there's a learning curve to being an owner. I hope Tepper's time with the Steelers is the equivalent of the Pegulas owning the Sabres or Tepper might take even longer than the six years it took the Pegulas to start getting it right.

I'm fine with pursuing Bozeman or Tretter. I might prefer Tretter because I don't think that figures into the comp picks formula. I don't understand all the ins and outs of the cap but I think there's a way to rollover cap from year to year. I'd certainly look at rolling some cap over to 23. Basically, I'd start stockpiling cap, and draft picks for 23. But I don't know that the current regime would want to do that

I know DJ isn't Adams but you got to think DJ's agent is going to be looking at Adams' contract carefully.

Jared Goff has a 42-27 record with the Rams. Same tough division as Jimmy G. Matt Stafford had a 74-90-1 record with the Lions. NFC North was not a powerhouse outside of GB. Who in their right mind would have traded Goff for Stafford based upon those records? Hmmm. Maybe looking at QB wins isn't the best metric for this discussion?
