Tom Brady is the outlier of all outliers. That said, if you want to examine the relationship between RAS and NFL QB success, you need a much larger sample size than what's being discussed here. I don't have the time or resources, but it would be interesting to see a scatterplot of the RAS of all QBs who had more than 100 attempts in 2021. That might provide you with some good data.

If you look at our free agent signings, it looks like we are building a team where the running game and the defense can carry a rookie QB who makes good reads and carves up the middle of the field in manageable down and distance situations. Basically trying to replicate the success New England had with Mack Jones. Now ask yourself which rookie is most similar to Mack Jones in this class and I think you'll have a clue as to the Panthers draft target.

Let's seperate the plan from the player. The plan I like. Trade down into the early 20s while we pick up 2nd and 3rd round pick. Then draft a QB with either our 1st or 2nd round pick. Love it. Count me in. As to the specific player of Ridder, I have no clue. I've missed on so many rookies over the years, I don't even pretend to know who is going to be good anymore. Whoever we pick, I hope they become a great QB.
