  1. Only first rounders get the fifth year option and after the 2020 CBA made them fully guaranteed they are more problematic now. Breer was talking about it this morning.
  2. Rhule, attempting to set expectations that Corral is unlikely to unseat Darnold as the starter: "This is the only position in professional sports where the best players are over the age of 35" He only mentions Rogers and Brady. I'm not sure how old Stafford or Russ is, but he doesn't mention Mahomes, Herbert, Burrow, Allen, Lamar, Kyler, Dak...
  3. Smitty seems to be on the 'see what Darnold is with a better line' kick. End well, that will not.
  4. Where did you see that? Daniel Jeremiah said that was his comp for Howell.
  5. We're going to be a run first team. Corral is a good with play action. A run first team usually has a ton of play action passes.
  6. This is the @Verge write up: https://draftwire.usatoday.com/lists/matt-corral-scouting-report-2022-nfl-draft-ole-miss-rebels-football/
  7. Eisen just said we traded 2023 3rd round pick to move up.
  8. Buffalo coming up. We have some friends in that front office...
  9. This was your post: "Show me the evidence that Fitt didn't drive the Darnold trade. I have video evidence where Fitt is driving it along with his personnel and Rhule isn't even in the room." That's the post I responded to.
  10. And your proof for Elflein, Erving, and CJ Henderson? - You asked for "proof Fitt didn't drive the Darnold trade". Elflein, Erving and CJ aren't relevant to that discussion. Rhule may have suggested it, but its the GM's job to say NO when it is a total crap decision, and Darnold was. It's been revealed that at the time of the trade Rhule had contractual final roster control. So no, Fitterer couldn't have told him NO. Rhule isn't blameless, but Fitt isn't some innocent child. If Fitt is, then Fitt is a mistake. Again, this is irrelevant to your request for proof that Fitt didn't drive the Darnold trade. Which is what I provided.
  11. Pretty clear from this story that Rhule and Snow went to Scott and told him to go after Darnold.
  12. If Dan Patrick's sources are accurate, Malik Willis will be available in the early 3rd round.
  13. I know for certain one of them isn't good enough to be a starting quarterback in the NFL. I don't know if the other one can be.
  14. If Terrace Marshall,Jr. can't be a decent replacement for Robbie, we made a mistake drafting him last year.
  15. Could explain our lack of interest in the veteran QB market (Rhule's presumed preference) over a rookie QB (Fitterer's presumed preference).
  16. How much did Olave benefit from having Wilson on the other side of him? It's the same reason I was wary of Devonte Wyatt who probably benefitted from all the attention Jordan Davis got. And I was wary of both the Georgia LBs who got to play with those two big boys occupying blockers.
  17. I'm not trading Moore. He's a foundational piece. See what's there later in the second or even into the third and try to make a deal with a future 4th round pick or later, or offering someone like RA.
  18. Poor Rhule. The guy with contractual final roster control had these terrible QBs forced upon him. He picked these QBs. Maybe Brady influenced picking Teddy, but Sam was all Rhule and his mentor Phil Snow.
  19. "if you're going to go against one the Bosa kids, which is going to be a tough fight, you want to have your technical side down because they're bringing technical stuff to you, but if you're against defensive end that relies more on his athleticism, he [Ekwonu] will be fine. He'll be able to win because he has the movement and NFL strength and size already."
  20. If that's true, we're dumber than a bag of hammers. There are decent options in FA right now that could give us 90% of what D. Brown did last year. We could have flipped that mid-first for a 2nd plus other picks and really be sitting pretty right now.
