I thought their offense looked okay against NYG in week 1 of the preseason.
-
I would prefer to wait until after Week 8 to rate them, and then rate them again after Week 17.

What do want to see more of in preseason week 2?

From my understanding you aren't going to see much of the 1s and 2s on Friday. It'll be all 3s and 4s. The 1s and 2s will get in their work during the combined practices. -
I think you got to let the rookie take his lumps and learn on the job. That's why you drafted him number 6 overall.
-
I don't understand how this tape got a 90+ PFF grade.
-
How could you know that? I didn't realize you had a Siege Perilous that lets you look into the other alternate universes where we cut PJ after we traded for Baker and Corral got the reps he needed so you know know he wouldn't be be close to ready even if he got them. Truly amazing.

Washington is only carrying 3 QBs at the moment (Wentz, Heinke, Howell). I imagine Howell has gotten significantly more training camp reps than Matt Corral.

We pay most of Darnold's contract and Cleveland is paying most of Mayfield's. It's sort of a wash. I just don't see any team who would want to trade for Sam Darnold, even if we picked up the same amount of money Cleveland did on Baker's deal.
-
I wonder if Rivera who take him to task over that. I also wouldn't expect such kindness from the Patriots although it sounds like Baker and Darnold won't play much, if at all.

RA is our WR2. DJ is WR1.

Jordan Love with two pics and plenty of off target throws. He had one pretty deep ball, too, but he doesn't look like he's anywhere close to ready to take over if Aaron retires after this season. -

Josh Allen's second season in the NFL: 16 games started, 58.8% completion percentage, 3,089 passing yards, 510 rushing yards, 29 total touchdowns, 9 interceptions. Jalen Hurts' second season in the NFL: 15 games started, 61.3% completion percentage, 3,144 passing yards, 784 rushing yards, 26 total touchdowns, 9 interceptions. Before Josh Allen's third season in the NFL, the Bills acquired Stefon Diggs. Allen was one of the best QBs in the NFL. Entering Jalen Hurts' third season in the NFL, the Eagles acquired A.J. Brown. -

Depends on how Corral looks tomorrow. -
Several of us (maybe even you) pointed out that the closest comparison for Tepper when he bought the Panthers was (former Steelers minority owner) Jimmy Haslam. I would say Haslam in the group of owners who hasn't learned how to create a winner yet.

Or maybe it does bode well for getting a [longer] look at the future...

I'm stuck watching Bailey Zappe with the Patriots. I'm not impressed. At times, it doesn't like he has an NFL arm.
-
Last year it seemed like teams were using game #2 as the "dress rehearsal" but that wasn't universal. Many teams appear to be placing a greater emphasis on the combined practices than even the preseason games.

August 20th.

NFL Network is carrying the game as well.

It's like you hit all the Huddle highlights except for "move CMC to slot"

As had been discussed multiple times, Rhule previous year three improvements were more about the college recruiting cycle. That doesn't exist in the NFL.
-
The Raiders understand that you don't give second contracts to running backs. New England was always running back by committee and I expect McDaniels will use the same approach in Las Vegas. Jacobs needs a good year and then he will sign elsewhere in free agency.
-
That's fair, but they do get Pittsburgh (Pickett or Trubisky), Detroit, Chicago, and Cleveland (no Watson) this year.

I've been saying all off-season that losing Payton would be a huge negative for the Saints.
