The bigger picture to me is can they stay in the ACC or will they need to move the SEC as the mega conferences (SEC/BIG10) form.

So, if I understand your theory correctly, we took away valuable training camp reps from our starter in order to get talked about on stuff like GMFB? That doesn't seem like a real smart idea. You know a great way to get all those shows to talk about you long after the doldrums of the offseason? Winning.

"The reality of this league is most teams will play multiple quarterbacks. Sam has worked incredibly hard, played really well for us during training camp, and will be ready to go if and when it's needed." That clears up any questions about PJ or Sam as the backup. It's Sam.

How Many of Rhule's Bear-Owls make the final 53?
trueblade replied to 45catfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I still think PJ winds up on the practice squad and we only keep 2 QBs. -
If you're talking about 2023, the Falcons look likey to have a top 5 draft pick as their QB.
-
If we hadn't completely botched the rebuild, we could be going into the season with a real chance at dominating the division. As it is, we're just as much of a mess as the other three teams.

Same injury as Cam. I freaking hate that stupid turf in New England.
-
Because the Rams backup QB looked really bad last night .

The Raiders made the playoffs under their interim coach.

Rams didn't look great but they didn't play any starters. They better hope Stafford is okay because Wolford ain't it. Texans looked good. David Mills looks like an NFL QB, but again, the Rams sat everyone. Seattle has the look of a team that will be in the running for a top 5 draft pick. The QB situation is worse than ours and their defense can't tackle. This feels like Carroll's swan song. Chicago looked better than I thought. Fields looked okay.

This is the bigger issue than how he looked. Durability was a concern in his draft profile and he missed most of the draft build up because he got hurt (foot/ankle) in his bowl game. I don't know what his ceiling might be, but if he can't stay healthy, he can't help the team.

Panthers QB injuring his foot on the turf in New England in the preseason just brings back all kinds of bad memories.

Where did you see that Corral got the second most snaps in practice this week? I don't recall seeing that anywhere.

2nd and 3rd string expected most tmrw night
trueblade replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
Which means we will still have 4 QBs at practice. Once the season starts, almost all the reps go to the starter, and the rest to the backup. I fear this means Corral's lack of reps will continue throughout the regular season and he will not get much development this year. [Edit to add : this is assuming we don't cut or trade one of the QBs] -

Joe Person: Panthers expected to name Baker Mayfield Week 1 starter.
trueblade replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
There are currently 12 teams carrying 4 QBs are their rosters: CAR, SF, NYJ, CIN, PIT, IND, KC, LV, DAL, PHI, NO, TB, -
I was at Bobby Hartin's Sports Grill in West Ashley. I had just about left when it looked like the Rams kicked the winning field goal (it was straight, but a yard short), but I hurried back to my table when it missed. We were jumping and hollering and high fiving all around.

I think the judge wanted more but was bound by precedent.

And steal reps from our rookie QB trying to make the transition from a very college offense. -
So three plays for Corral if I'm reading the tweets right. So much development...

I would defend the premise that Chinn still has much to show before he can be thought of as on the same level as Derwin James as a Safety.
-
I really wouldn't worry too much about who is "winning" these joint practices. At the end of the day, it matters about as much as the score in the game on Friday.

While I don't think it will work as well, the Patriots used to be famous for having a bunch of midget receivers. Their QB back then was pretty good though.
