Just don't look up where the LB coach from that team is today...
-
The reason you want your HC as OC or at least partly your OC is that if you have a good OC, he's more than likely going to get hired away fairly quickly. Just look at the guys we're talking about.

1) It's still early in his first season. 2) One of the reasons Scott liked him so much was his connections to be able to build a great staff. Connections that for whatever reason, he didn't use. 3) The only way to never miss is to never have a take on any player, coach or GM. If we're honest, we've all had misses. I used to get accused of having Craigasms because I thought Dameyune Craig would be what Cam ended up being, and I have to admit I missed big time on Justin Fields. It happens.

He probably wasn't okay with taking a job where Rhule having final say. He wasn't wrong.

Florio was talking yesterday about how the NFL and college schedules don't mesh well anymore. College has moved their stuff up, NFL has moved back one week with the extra game. He felt like it Rhule was going to bolt for a college job, he needed to do it before Thanksgiving.

Besides the cap issues, Fitterer likes to trade away draft picks a little too much for my liking.
-
Why not include Mike Lafluer on the list of young offensive options?
-
The Giants had no problem getting Brian Daboll when they fired Judge after two seasons. Jags had no problem getting Doug Pederson when they fired Meyer after one season. 49ers had no problem getting Kyle Shanahan when they fired Chip Kelly after one season. There are probably more examples but those were the first ones to come to mind.

In that scenario, there's a very strong chance Morgan would hire Ken Dorsey as HC.
-
I really think it could just be as simple as Ron/Gettlemen were the guys in place during the prime Cam and Luke years. Those guys were such amazing talents they could carry the team.
-
"This is also why he’s having a hard time firing him."
-
This is what I was thinking, too.
-
Well, whatever his reasons, the moves certainly seem to be working right now.

Howie Roseman has taken a lot of criticism, but the Eagles look great and they have what looks like it'll be a top 10 pick from New Orleans.
-
I wonder if Young's injury on Saturday will lower his draft stock.
-
Dolphins have looked pretty good this year. They traded away a bunch of assets in 2019 for draft picks. It just took some time for it to come to fruition. The Tua injury might derail them, but I would push back on the idea they "couldn't pull it off".
-
Basically the Cleveland game all over again?
-
I keep coming back to the 2019 Dolphins. They traded some good players, acquired quality picks including multiple first rounders. But they are a competitive team now, though without Tua they might struggle.
-
The coaches are too busy asking Horn to blitz.

It sucks Corral will never get his shot this year
trueblade replied to GoobyPls's topic in Carolina Panthers
We sacrificed Corral's development when Fitterer/Rhule traded for Baker. As I said at the time, there weren't enough reps. But regardless of who Corral was playing with or against, or how many reps he got, you can't get around the fact he had injury concerns from college, missed the draft evaluation process because of an injury in the bowl game, and the reason he isn't available for us right now is he's... injured. -
He isn't. I'm not sure he's even recovered from his injury.
-
Given his play, and the play of the tight ends (Thomas, Tremble), it is fair to wonder if Fitterer regrets the trade.
