week five mandatory post game fire rhule demand thread
trueblade replied to PhillyB's topic in Carolina Panthers
We have a late bye (Week 14 - Dec 4th). What I was expecting was Rhule would get fired or resign after the TNF game against the Falcons on 11/10. It's our only prime time game of the year, and if it's another embarrassing loss, it'll be there for the whole NFL world to watch. It would give a mini-bye to get everyone into their new roles. Plus, Rhule will want to be in place for his new college job by Thanksgiving for recruiting. -
I’m definitely aboard the Demeco Ryans for HC bandwagon

He even did some good things with UDFA Mike White last year. -

Mike Lafluer's Jets offense just hung 40 on the Dolphins, and he's getting experience developing a rookie QB. -
Long way to go.

What a bomb from Allen to Davis. This might finally be the year Mike Tomlin has a losing season. He might even be available if we fire Rhule.

Graziano: "Lots of buzz" Panthers could fire Rhule
trueblade replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Assuming the Panthers don't start winning some games, my current theory is he either quits or gets fired after the TNF game (Nov 10). Think about all the talk about Denver right now. That's going to be us after our lone prime time game (assuming again we look as bad as we have). Rhule may not be a good NFL coach, but he's not blind. If he sees the axe is coming, he'll want to have a college job secured before Thanksgiving. -
One hammy was balky before the game. He played a few snaps, and the other hammy went.

This is how you prepare for a rebuild. Seahawks still acting like a well run organization even with Fitterer here. It's almost like someone else (Schneider) might have been the major driver of their success.

In one of the other Broncos games, they mentioned it took Rodgers a while to click with this offense, but when he did, he won MVPs.

Jason La Canfora on the Panthers Future and CMC
trueblade replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
We can split hairs over serviceable versus good, but more than anything else, this is what I see (especially as a Fantasy player), a set of backs. To bring this back to the topic, we really don't need one all-world RB (CMC) and then basically nothing, which is what we've had this year. So I'm okay with trading CMC and getting a pass catching back cheap in FA or in the later rounds to go with Freeman and whoever we can replace Chuba with. -

Sorry, I thought we were talking about 2022. Too many unknowns for me to have any opinion on 2023 at this point. -

What i see is great QB, great coach, good WRs and serviceable RBs. -

Different era of football. Last five SB winners: Rams (Running back by committee), Tampa (Running back by committee), KC (Running back by committee), New England (Running back by committee), Philly (Running back by committee). -

After mini-camps: "oh poo, we can't go into the season with these guys as our only QBs [would have been Darnold, PJ and Corral at the time.]"

Shenalt, Chinn and Woods all dealing with hamstrings. What is going on with our strength and conditioning coach?
-
If you look at our players, plus our cap situation next year, plus our currently available draft picks, I don't see how anyone could say we've been well managed. The only thing anyone can do is try to blame it all on Rhule.

I agree they are an evaluation of the franchise as a whole, but subjective or not, I think most would agree we're one of the five worst teams in the league. Sorry for the edits. I misunderstood you the first time.
