It depends how you define "Pan out", if you mean by serviceable then they need to trade him. If you think he is still capable of being a top 10 qb one day then that's a reason to keep him. The panthers didn't draft bryce to be serviceable, they drafted him to be significantly more than that. Being serviceable doesn't guarantee you anything in the nfl. Serviceable is honestly just being a good backup.

That floater he threw to legette which caused him to take that hit and get injured was cringe. This is what we talk about with the ceiling....if he is throwing passes like that as the franchise player than we have problems. And we are not even at the point where we absolutely need him to get wins.

My absolute worst fear in all this is resigning bryce to 40 million a year to be a mediocre limited qb. Pray to God that doesn't happen. I may really be done with the team then and I'm as loyal as it gets.

And Wilson is the exception not the rule. And also has better traits than Bryce. Thats already been established.

The schedule gets brutal after the bye, and a possible loss in another country to the giants is not gonna help things. We will so what kind of gymnastics we hear when the losses start piling up again. Very interesting to see how this season finishes out. I think at some point you have to raise the expectations to know how to approach next season. Like the 150 pass yds 1 TD games is not gonna cut it. Gotta shoot for more than that.

That bears game is a prime example of how a great defense will only bail you out so long when the qb play and offense is unacceptable. But hey.... according to some of yall let's fix the defense and give this another try next year. Maybe something will change this time!!!

This is the smart thinking and I have made it clear I don't care to watch bryce anymore. But the reality is he probably does start next week...cant predict how the rest of the season will go though. The only way Canales doesn't play him next week is if Tepper is okay with it. The backlash from the media and bryce fans would be titanic.
