I like this too. But There is a good chance tucker might not make it to our second round pick. I like the idea of grabbing creed Humphrey in the second and playing him a guard this season and then he could slide over to center next year once we dump paradis. Slater and Humphrey are brickwall OL to me. O line instantly becomes a strength.

If we took 3 or 4 OL with our picks i wouldnt even be mad.

Of course its different, but we don't know what Fitts is thinking or gonna. Even trading back to the middle teens is to far for us. Were gonna have to wait and see.

I have never been a big fan of trading back far as possible like Seattle does and i hope Fitt hasn't brought that over here. Panthers need blue chip players, i would only be good with trading back 2-3 spots unless we are talking first round picks. Thats it.

If there ever was a draft to fix a bad O line this is it. I agree I think we need to invest atleast 2 high round picks. Regardless, if they screw this up and we still have the same issues this season it will be a long time if i ever have real faith in this staff.

Competent? this guy was ready to give up a first for Matt Stafford, and i dont think you needed to give a up second for Darnold when nobody else wanted him. We are following in to the line of trying to convince ourselves that this is gonna be good and there is no indication it will and the Hurney haters are gonna back it anything this guy does. We are still in wait and see mode and im not moving off that. I dont think he will, but Darnold could very well end up being worse than teddy and it wont matter what you put around him.

Now i do agree with this. Which is also why i think no team is gonna be trading up multiple picks to take lance. If they do it will be fields and i think the niners take jones which is why i wanted us to sit tight for now instead of making a move on darnold.

Why the hell we won't to make things easier on a 5th underachieving QB? That would make sense if we already investing in darnold long term but it would be foolish to pass up a potential franchise qb just to make him feel comfortable.

I already think darnold is better than teddy but not by much. Sam is going into year 5 and has to be paid after this year but i think its close to a pipe dream he will be a significantly better qb to what we need going forward. I would rather just draft a young guy then take to time to see what darnold can do. I mean its not many options for a legit vet to come in. Unless they are just waiting to see if watson gets out the mess he is in later. Other than that you gotta draft somebody.

Why are we now giving up on drafting a future franchise qb for Darnold? Like you just said, if darnold doesn't light it up then he is a FA next year and we have absolutely nothing at QB. I still think we should be looking at drafting one if somebody falls not name mac jones.

This would make this trade a lot less depressing. Just get rid of Teddys contract whatever it takes and cross fingers for the draft.

If we trade back that means whoever is trading up is probably coming to get a qb so would we want to do that depending on who it is??
