I see 2 teams showing just how far away the panthers are ready to compete for a championship. Hiring a Offensive minded coach was the right move. Gotta get a QB top priority.

Don't we have a lot of cap after next season anyway? If you use that to fill holes dont see why we need to hang on to a bunch of picks. The contending teams have a mix of good young players and good FA signings.

Agreed, I dont think anderson and Carter are that good to pass up 3 1st. They could drop to 9 and still get one of the best OTs, DE or receivers in the draft.

I mean we don't know what the FO will do, and nothing they have said so far says they wont.

Siaki Ika Gervonta dexter Keeanu Benton

With if that's the case i hope stroud doesn't say anything to anybody but the panthers during the pre draft process. He can be a full fledge mute for All i care, im still drafting him.

Lmaoo...what?

If there is a way to get it done without giving up our second rounders thats the route i would go. Its a lot of first round talent gonna be available in the second round this draft and some good quality linemen to pick up in the late rounds. This is the draft we need to go all in.

I willing to do whatever to get to one or i wouldn't be mad if we did it. Stroud would fix a lot of problems for years to come.

The only people thinking Bears were just gonna give up on Fields now are the ones who just dont think much of Fields. Its was never gonna happen.

The nerve of this piece of crap

I just want to know what makes yall think any team management would embrace this type of scenario? You are talking about almost a full year of preparation and a 17 game season with a guy who didnt even make it threw pre season as QB. I could understand a little bit more if corral made it threw season not on IR and maybe even got to play just a lil bit....but i dont even think that would have been enough to ride a whole next season off his back. And that's without factoring in a new coach that didnt validate him.

Trubisky and lance dont belong in the same sentence as Stroud.

Stroud plus this current roster can win the division next year. I think at WORST Stroud is a solid starter in the league, and he looks like he will put in the work to improve every year. If you tell me im giving up 3 first rounders for a guy that will be a stable QB in the league for the next 9 to 10 years then im not really worried at all about doing it. Who cares who gets upset, people have just gotten use to not having a difference maker at QB or they are scared about being the team willing to take the risk more than anybody else.

Mahomes going to his 3rd superbowl in 6 years.

Destroyed us last year with a pretty good gameplan when the defense was coming into that game on a roll. I wouldnt be mad about hiring him.
-
Technically every player coming into the league is an unknown, you have no clue what they are going to be. If that player IS an absolute sure thing NOBODY is gonna trade with you period because why would they pass that guy up? QB, LT, DE are the most premium positions in the league so there is always an hesitation about making changes especially if you have nothing far as a replacement. Moving Burns would be a serious blow to our pass rush as there is nobody to pick up his production on a good not great defense. Not saying i would have had a real issue if they moved him, i just understand why they didnt and not for picks on down the road where you have no idea where they will be positioned at.

I have been thinking lately Stroud with this current roster can win the division next year. If that happens then those picks lose value anyway. Hell, if you dont do it than we are not gonna be bad enough to get a top qb next year so you are still looking at trading up for a unknown and you will be competing with other teams in our division plus the rest of the league...that worries me a little bit. The NFC as a whole is just going into a rebuild mode seems like, especially if green bay moves on from A Rod. I see a lot of teams scrambling to get a new franchise guy in place. It may be well worth it to go all out and get ours now to avoid the stampede.

I like Shaq but thats just way too much cap space to free up vs keeping a player whos impact isnt that great...especially a LB.

Do you trust Reich to find us (and develop) a franchise QB?
CPF4LIFE replied to t96's topic in Carolina Panthers
Eh...im just not as confident in that as yall are. Im not convinced Levis will be that highly valued. I think Stroud will be the top QB all said and done or maybe bryce. Im just settling with the fact we would have to trade up all the way to one. -

The same format he always reports things by...he talks with people close to the team and he relays it to people who ask questions. He clearly didn't give specific names outside of TEPPER but its close to off season and speculation is all we have to go by anyway. Being all in could simply mean they see Stroud as a true franchise guy and he said HIMSELF wouldn't be surprised If they traded up for him. Take it how you want though, if it bothers you so much then let him know directly. -

Its not his speculation. He is reporting what Allbright said. Allbright also said earlier this week TEPPER loves Stroud for context.
