  1. Oh I agree, I'm irritated that all of sudden these media folks now want to tell the truth on bryce and Cj. I am someone thats convinced that the FO made the pick off heavy media influence. Greg Cosell just did a interview with the roar and he pretty much peeled bryce back.
  2. A lot of these vets dont want to deal with the grind of everything a full season brings. They would rather wait and sign to a team that could really use the help.
  3. I think he is competition for Young, the problem is THE STAFF didnt make him competition for Young. We barely saw anything from Dalton from camp threw pre season. They made Dalton the starter after the draft very briefly then all of a sudden we hear Bryce had won the job and it was very weird. The whole process last year was just off along with Tepper telling bryce all the way back to the superbowl we were gonna draft him. Bryce doesnt even visit with any other teams nor does he participate in combine and then there was the whole fiasco with the weight. It was just a lot of coasting all last year around bryce.
  4. Not giving Bryce any competition is just really outstanding to me, for all the talk about how other players on a roster need to be pushed/jobs taken i dont see how a QB is exempt. I dont care where you are drafted. It also installs a comfortability factor in a player that's not needed. Never make a player feel like they dont need to earn anything, its not always good thing.
  5. I get screwing over other teams as win, but for me it will be a true win once the picks actually work out.
  6. They are still going strong on Panthers twitter, although im starting to see a lot of those fans are on the younger side compared to here.
  7. 23 and 24 will always be popular numbers associated with greatness.
  8. I think its frustrating that Bryce technically never had a good game against any team in the division.
  9. I was on here last year before the season started saying Lawrence was overrated and i got called a troll. lol
  10. Exactly. And outside of Cam and steve smith thats typically been panther football.
  11. Bryce has to show a lot but as i just said in the other thread it looks like we are shaping up to be a pound the rock team so dont know how much of a positive that is in bryces evaluation. He will be ask to make plays when needed rather than carry us on offense. There is good and bad to that for me because i really want to see how much you can really put on his back right away. The elite QBs almost never have everything perfect around them so its easier to see that they are elite. All the new weapons will help bryce but can also take him out the equation.
  12. We are definitely trying to be a pound the rock team. The flipside to that is the QB will pretty much be more of a game manager.
  13. Exactly. THis is why i cringe when i hear people say Bryce didnt ask for this situation or people should feel sorry for him. He did everything possible to put himself in this situation. We were sold he was the guy to overcome anything.
  14. Bryce Young was always an outlier to be a success in the NFL and this was already known..the concerns were there. So it shouldnt be surprising to some people that its talks of moving on already after this year if he struggles, the concerns cant be improved on or fixed. Bryce has to show himself he can overcome them.
  15. So what is more important? what he did on the Saints the year before last or how he compares to a ROOKIE who clearly had problems adjusting to the LEAGUE last year on another team and it effecting win/losses? smh And you say im all over the place. Also, i clearly gave explanations for how the seattle game played out. Its rare a qb has to throw the ball 63 times so to think it would have been a theme for the season is ludicrous... the even bigger point is that its not necessarily his fault if he has to do it in the first place like he was calling the plays but for some strange reason you continue to hold that against Dalton as if its all on him and not the guys around him racking up penalties. If he is old terrible as you say it shouldnt matter how bad the defense was he played, he shouldnt have been able to throw for over 300 yds on them with no turnovers. But this is the narratives people pushed all season, why didnt bryce turn around and destroy and even worse defense against a winless vikings the next week? Do i need to layout how dumb this logic is even more?
  16. Everything i have seen is overall metrics....not specific. Some have bryce lower than that, some do blame the staff and coaches who give Feedback but that is opinionated.
  17. Im going off Daltons overall time in the league and experience....and that is good enough to win you a couple games. I know Dalton is good enough not to rank 34 out of 32 QBs last year. What about you??
  18. Your obsession with seattle game is weird, when i have referenced other games. To completely ignore the specific circumstances of that game is just silly. A game with a record number of false starts which played a huge impact on the game because of the crowd noise so according to you that would have been the case in every other game that year right? Secondly, stop saying Dalton is 40 yrs old. The guy is 36, he isnt a fossil yet and clearly showed that...this is the ridiculous overexaggerating that always gets thrown into discussions to make people seem like they are saying something smart. Its also funny the narrative on theilen up until that game was that he was a fossil, washed up, couldnt play anymore and then be busts out 145 yards on 10 catches with Dalton. I dont care the team played, for someone his age thats good production he was catching heat along with everybody else.
  19. So let me ask you this, and this is assuming you watched the first 2 games of the season. The falcons game was a back and forth between to 2 bad teams until bryce throws 2 crucial picks to help atlanta pull away. The second game was a sloppy game where the defense scored and our offense did absolutely nothing till the 4th quarter, bryce even fumbles and saints return for a TD. If Dalton starts both of those games is the outcome and playout still the same for both games?
  20. Because it goes back to what i said earlier in my original post. We had a rookie in those games making ROOKIE MISTAKES, if you remove those are you saying without a shadow of a doubt we still lose those games against those teams? Falcons, Saints, Vikings, texans, bears, bucs. Werer those games losses no matter who was in there? And for the record nobody is saying this team was capable of 10 plus wins, you wont find anybody even implying that, im arguing the notion we are still a 2 win team with a different QB.
