Welp...next time dont draft a RB in the top 10 and give him a crazy workload as the only offensive productive weapon every single game. Marty Hurney did neither one of those things and CMC would have sat out till he got paid. Cant make it anymore clearer than that.

Do you understand todays RBs are well aware of how their position is treated in this era? Top Rbs are not waiting till their contacts are up to get new ones. They will hold out midway threw till they are extended to guarantee they get their money. Zeke did it and Cmc was prepared to do it too. Its business, from that standpoint u cant really blame him especially after carrying the team offensively the prior year.

Too soon is one thing, but the dude has been our best Offensive player period since drafted arguably. I think the move was made based off that more than him being RB and i normally agree with the whole not hanging on to RBs too long thing.

This is just misguided, GMs can't predict injuries. Dont care how bad or good they are. Cmc had no injury history prior to getting that contract and you werent gonna be able to pay the best RB in the league peanuts.
