Or...he saw his career in jeopardy and decided to put the Netflix away and put in the extra work. Some players just need a kick like that. I think the report of him being surprised he was benched said a lot. He was to comfortable. Regardless, he deserves some credit for how he has handled things. I will give him that...It really wasn't looking good after those first 2 weeks. Richardson and levis also bounced back from benchings So its some resilience there. Still long term outlook is a question.

https://x.com/NFLonCBS/status/1861069130251546844?t=Oqviz9OBPOsIVMYvHojrWQ&s=19 Whats so hilarious is that levis has statistically been better than bryce recently...so does that mean he is now better stroud and bryce?? Lol...you see how dumb this stuff gets. He has also played a couple good defenses.
-
And still has respectable numbers as a starter while his team is leading the division. What people are doing is comparing this year to the amazing year he had last year and saying he fell off because he isnt doing the exact same thing this year which is ridiculous. Last year was a rare year for a rookie qb you dont see often. Texans weren't sneaking up anybody this year and it shows, and yet they are still winning. Panther bryce fans need to pipe down.

No more overspending on the offense. Its time guys start playing up to the draft status. The defense needs all the help it can get.
-
Yes...the whole great defense thing is for the run game. They are average against the pass.
-
The funniest thing about this game is that if you was looking around the panthers media all week everybody was prepared to give him a pass today regardless because THE CHIEFS ARE SO GOOD. It didn't really matter what he did today. I pretty much watched the game not expecting much of anything. If he plays well against good teams it's just a bonus. Its a no lose situation for bryce here. He is gonna get a pass if we play good teams. There is no point in discussing other parameters.
-
Bryce gonna be the first qb to have 3 straight rookie years.
-
And that's what it was from the start. Canales wanted bryce to prove it undoubtedly that he is the starter with his work and play. Up to this point you couldn't honestly say he was the best qb on the roster. And that goes back to last year.
-
Yes but you have to consider that all these guys are on a time limit technically. Contracts run out, they aren't forever. And you want to see enough sooner than later. Later is how you get in a Daniel Jones situation. Bryce has took steps from the disaster he was earlier this year. Next is consistency, incressing his production (1 td again today) then actually winning these games in bulk. The good qbs do more than make a couple good throws a game then pat themselves on the back. He still has a ways to go but not a endless amount of time to do it in.

If somebody legitimately hasn't been good how can they have haters? I dont know why that needs to be said. Lol -
My Personal Takeaway from This Game vs Cheifs
CPF4LIFE replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
I could understand a lot more if we weren't coming off a bye. Most teams ain't gonna get 2 weeks to prepare for the defending champs. If had looked like absolute crap today then would be time to worry a lot. -

And you probably said this after the green bay game last year. -
I'm just not interested in a game manager. You think that's gonna matter to him and his agent when his contract is up?
-
Perfectly reasonable. Its been steps with Bryce but they are baby to me. I havent seen anything huge yet. People don't comprehend how bad he was going all the way back to after the green bay game last year. So anything was an improvement for him.
-
Teddy did that on the road too.
-
Thats the funny thing with Bryce. No matter what he does there is somebody that can do it better. Thats why it's so hard to get on the bandwagon for most people. Lol
-
Where first off... I said if I was starting a team and all were coming out he is last on the list. Secondly, they aren't anomalies as qbs. Nobody has succeeded at bryces stature outside of flutie in case you missed that. And that's not even getting into the other limitations.
-
Yes. Whether you want to blame drops, playcalling, refs, bryce. The passing game is still questionable. He needs to start putting together games where he can muster more than 1 td threw the air not just from a quick slant that teams will pick up on eventually. Thats what good qbs are capable of.
-
I dont think its matter of if bryce can step on a field and play pro ball at this point. Can he be good? Can he be elite? That's another questionable discussion that only a bryce stan wouldn't entertain. On a list of options he is still last for me. If I'm starting a team and I get to choose from him Sanders, ward, or maybe stroud. He is still at the bottom.
-
Chief defense hasn't exactly been dominating lately. They have actually looked more pedestrian the last couple weeks. Nonetheless it's a win for bryce to play well against them especially with 2 weeks to prepare. If had of looked bad today I would have been calling for a another benching.
-
Best game since the green bay game as a pro without the multiple TDs. But we know what happened after the green bay game...lets just hope history doesn't repeat.

Panthers played a great game today. Including bryce....All deserve their props. I think now it just comes down to consistency. Especially with Bryce, can he keep improving with the pressure of not being guaranteed anything? This is a big reason why I have never had a problem with how Canales has approached this situation and I honestly think he deserves more props for it. He has gotten the best out of Bryce and the whole team the last couple weeks off his methods. He has definitely separated himself from Reich. Keep pushing Bryce so he doesn't get comfortable and go back to watching Netflix and playing basketball. And We will see where we are at later on. -
I laugh everytime the announcers call bryce passes wobblers
-
Bryce thinks you gotta hit a fan in the stands to score. im kidding. Don't get butthurt bryceles
