Panther Shopping for Number 1 caliber WR, Top Priority
CPF4LIFE replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Lmaooooo....you crack me up man. -
Sure was labeled old and unreliable up until the Seattle game. I wonder what happened.....

Then if thats the case then you damn sure better be worried about who will be replacing gm and coach because Bryce will be a absolute topic of discussion with whoever tepper hires next. It will come down to who is willing to hitch their wagon to him and who isnt. The right/best coach may not be willing to unless he can get his own guy soon and the wrong coach would just be doing it for a job which ultimately ends up a waste of time for everybody.

And this is why im not buying all the vitriol for the o line. Have they been good as last year? No...but they have been good enough for an adequate qb to succeed. What do you expect and nfl offensive line to do when they have a qb that dropbacks 15 yards in the pocket right in the lane of rushers and cant step up in the pocket to avoid them because his vision gets clouded downfield then he has to bring the ball down and maneuver which adds up to way to long for a o line to block. Its a recipe for disaster and no O line is gonna look good with a qb doing these things all game. But I guess the people that think they know football will get it one day.

But we aren't talking about everybody, we are talking specifically about bryce and him choosing not to participate with the questions marks already attached to him.

It was a terrible trade but not because of Bryce

Stop....just stop. It was people on this very forum who said stroud would struggle this year because of coaching and roster on the texans. Furthermore, we have no idea how he do here with a better o line, slightly better run game, and with a coach who according to rumors preferred him in the first place. The coach ended up with a guy who allegedly he didn't WANT, so it isnt crazy that currently that QB is struggling in that coaches offense. He cant even use him on qb sneaks or under center for majority of games for godsakes...so just applying all those factors to stroud and saying he would struggle too is just careless and baseless. Stroud is also making throws bryce will not or just flat out missing and isnt carelessly TURNING IT OVER most importantly. It has nothing to do with being a prisoner of the moment, stroud is off to an historical start on a rebuilding inexperienced team with a OC who use to be a defensive guy and is learning how to be a OC. Stroud is showing traits to elevate any team he is on, not just a benefit of his circumstance no matter how much yall keep pushing the narrative. -
PFF grades vs Lions (Bryce in bottom 5 yet again)
CPF4LIFE replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Been coming around to trading chinn a lot more and its not because he is a bad player. -
Remind me what the narratives were after drafting bryce from the fans and organization.
-
My thing is...if this is the case. Why should we give this 3 to 4 years to work? Who the hell honestly wants to wait that long? If he isnt living up to the status by next year you gotta look to move on.

Observer: Is it time for Panthers to go to Andy Dalton?

I want to win. Losing does nothin for us. -
I hate this take, and you only hear it when things are going bad. Dont tell me bryce didn't ask for this whenever thing done up till draft was to make sure this kid was the first guy called. Bryce camp new panthers were taking a QB, bryce sat out the combine to protect his stock because they knew he would look inferior next to the other qbs plus forcing on weight just to silence the concerns. He didnt even meet with no teams outside of top 2, the media pushed him more than anybody as the best player and he already was doing media market campaigns before the draft happened. I dont want to hear who didnt want what now, the point is he got his spot as the no.1 guy and 40 million guaranteed like he was groomed too. Now its time to see some returm on that, i am in no way bout to feel sorry and sympathy for somethimg he and everybody around him embraced. Lets see some results.
-
I never noticed chinn at all yesterday, just go ahead and put him on the trading block too.
-
Pretty much.
-
The thing is bryce was a media hype machine as well and any team with the 1st pick was gonna be pressured into taking. That backed up the reports about all the teams that were happy not to have the no.1 pick because they knew it was a gamble to take a player like him. Bryce didnt even bother talking to teams outside 1 and 2 picks. The media was not gonna make it easy for anybody not to take bryce, unfortunately we had the owner that embraces the fugery.
-
Exactly. And whats urking me the most is all these fans that switched to this narrative SOON as the games started, i mean it wasn't like they gave any other player time to adjust or play better before coming to Bryce's defense. Remember, theilen was a absolute scrub until the Seattle game and now he is useful. Just asinine backwards talk
-
Either that or he is closer to being a college football analyst than a all pro qb.
-
I already said this before, you dont give up on bryce yet.... BUT it would be foolish not to bring in competition next year preferably threw the draft if we make trades and get picks back. Later rounds And it has to be someone with the physical attributes to play qb and make all the throws. That way it shows in camp if bryce is really holding you back or not, make him prove it since he wont have the rookie label over his head anymore.
-
Yep...and most of them said BY was the best qb in the draft.
