  1. The more I think about this the more I like it, If anyone can help Kuz keep his head on strait and focused its RBA, I don't think he's washed he had a drug problem if he's legit clean.... this could be a huge boon sticking him between Svechnikov and Necas Should also be noted that Orlov is his best friend
  2. Guentzel-Aho-Turbo Svechnikov-Kuz-Necas Martinook-Staal-Jarvis Noeson-Drury-Faast Feels more likely to me.
  3. I agree with that some of it has to do with the tighter style of hockey that's played in the playoffs..... Some of it IMO Is that almost all of our top talent for scoring is still VERY YOUNG (looking at you Marty Necas) he and Jarvis need to keep up the performances.... Adding a guy like Guentzel increases our Cup chances by a lot IMO he's CLUTCH in the playoffs.... I wanted him last year because I watched the entire Pitt-NYR series last season and Trouba knocked Crosby out in game 1..... Guentzel Carried them to a game 7 single handily 8g 8a.... Playoffs alone are why this was a much better outcome than Mier last season.
  4. I like are chances now much better last years team probably wins the cup with Guentzel and a healthy Svechnikov.... Freddie's back and seems to be in form Kochetkov is playing well... Our only "weakness" is 2C
  5. Anything else is icing on the cake, Jarvis and Necas are pacing 30 goal seasons if svechnikov would be as well if he'd been healthy all season, Turbo is resurgent... This season we have a legit chance to have 4-6 30 goal guys.... Aho 35-40g player Guentzel 35-40 g player Svechnikov 30 goal player Necas 30 goal player Jarvis 30 goal player Turbo 30 g pace We have more guys performing as scorers this year than any year except 2006
  6. It's a business man, just how it rolls and I'm actually glad they cleared his $ over the next two years it certainly looks possible to resign Guentzel and everyone but Pesce and Turbo.... (and if you don't keep one or both of them)
  7. The retention on this makes me think the Canes will make anther move or two today, maybe not a huge splash like Guentzel but it doesn't make sense otherwise we effectively have 6m in cap space.... I don't think Bunting was a great fit either, and it cleared 4.5M next season bringing the 2024 total cap space to 35.8M As RFAs we have Necas 6.5 aav? Jarvis 1-2 year bridge deal IMO 5m aav? (Would still be a RFA when expires) Drury 1m AAV? None are leaving IMO. If Guentzel is resigned I'm guessing he's in the 7-8m aav range (his game is all smarts he will age well IMO) As of right now I think Skjei gets resigned at around 6.5-7m aav Chatfield as well around 3.5-4 aav on a short deal. Noeson is a ? In my book probably around the same as Chatty. 3.5-4 Martinook will resign for relative peanuts 1.5-2m aav ^^^^ I think the above #s work and would leave the canes about 1.5 million in space next season. Let walk Pesce Turbo
  8. BTW pretty much everyone is saying The Canes worked the pens over on this trade.
  9. Agreed pono/Bunting were the only real values.... 25% retention on top of unloading Bunting.... That's close to 6m in space still I don't think the Canes are done yet.
  10. How so? Pomi is the only one worth a dang other than Bunting and with 25% retained I'm guessing anther move is coming
  11. Dude base it on games played several shortened seasons in his career based on his .92 ppg in a 82 game season he averages 75.96 points
  12. They won't be close to Panthers bad even if that happens (he's my buddy but I have to say...) if we don't win the cup that meltdown is gonna be epic regardless lll
  13. Can't assume they are done though with Bunting off the books they have room for a second move just wait.
  14. Let's not act like Jarvis/Necas/Svechnikov don't have elite talent.... (need consistency but it's getting there)
  15. I'd be cool with ending up like Pittsburgh lol multiple cups.... Washington meh but still got a recentish cup so.....
  16. He wasn't available for Meir,Petterson, or Thachuk either so I agree there.
  17. We have a team a dang good one at that and now we have a better team
  18. No guarantee he's gonna be a rental though that no permission given just means Pitt hadn't allowed contract discussions yet at that time..... I like Morrow it wouldn't shock me if he did say that being anther Harvard guy... either way if we win a cup it's a win no matter what they traded.... I'm all aboard
  19. Nikishin IMO will be a superstar by year two under no circumstances would I trade him! Keep in mind Morrow isn't even a signed prospect.... Also I wouldn't call Vegas getting Jack Eichel not getting a superstar l.
  20. Cool? Still happy with it either way, it'd ridiculous to keep hourding prospects instead of going all out, the Canes have a stocked pool they can afford to trade some.... I mean crap Vegas/TB sold off all their picks and prospects and guess what they have cups to show for it!
  21. And thank God if we end up in any more shoot outs with Freddie in net we actually stand a chance he's ice blood
