  1. The thing I found most concerning today was that we got worse as the game went on.
  2. Let him walk for his own sake. The only way he’ll have a good 5 year injury free run is with another team. Black cats are curses.
  3. This is his second injury just running.
  4. Hell I thought he was going in motion.
  5. Lol - Chiefs have lost a grand total of 16 regular season games in the last 5 years combined and they're gonna lose 7 this year?
  6. If Burns isn’t the kinda guy we pay then who in the hell are we paying?
  7. If Chark is on the field more than any other WR then injury wasn't a concern.
  8. The NFL has provided plenty of examples of quick turn arounds and a few teams surprise every year. Nothing wrong with believing we could be one of those teams this year. There’s enough talent on the team to compete. How well the coaching staff extracts that talent and how quickly our young players progress will have a lot of influence on how the season progresses. Theory crafting wins/losses is an exercise in futility. Even with perfect logic the better team often loses in the NFL. I simply hope we see a team improving with each game this season. That’s the standard I’d like to see from a new staff and our rookie QB. Just continue to improve, converting experience into progress.
  9. Carr looked surgical against KC. The entire offense was operating at a very high level for a preseason opener.
  10. Playing from behind, a lot of passing.
  11. We just drafted Young #1 overall and you think Corral is in the running?
  12. Well we now know if we had stood at #9 Levis would have been the only option left. All of the big four QBs are gonna be measured against their draft position. Levis is a bit more interesting to look back on in five years since he would have been the only option left without trading up.
  13. All aboard the Bryce train! ChooChoo muthfuggers! I applaud this off-season, for better or worse we made moves to immediately reverse course. We’ve had a sad five year run. I think we all feel some juice right now.
  14. Historically, any #1 pick is a gamble. It's just such as a huge investment with such high expectations. The busts are really visible. Just a few #1 busts in recent memory. 2007 Jamarcus Russell, 2010 Sam Bradford, 2015 Jameis Winston. Wouldn't call 2016 Jared Goff a bust, but he's already on his second team. Point being, all these #1's had better physical attributes than Bryce and still busted. Bryce is a gamble, but literally so is everyone else.
  15. How am I overlooking it, my second sentence is literally stating that he is smaller, I even use the phrasing "technically correct" to assess your take. Otherwise, I don't disagree with you. Just gonna have some faith, if the staff can't get this pick right then there may be little hope they would have succeeded with anyone else.
  16. So if you want to split hairs then I have a few reasonable responses. Bryce may come in a bit smaller than these guys, making your statement technically true. However, the spirit of your argument is that small is pretty much a guaranteed bust and that certainly isn't true. These players span the history of the game as it's evolved, clearly it's possible to get it done quite successfully even if you're smaller than average. Drew Brees 6' 200lb. Russel Wilson 5'11" 215lb. Joe Theismann 6' 192lb Len Dawson 6' 190lb. Fran Tarkenton 6' 190lb. Sonny Jurgensen 5'11" 202lb.
  17. Fitt's job is to put together the roster Reich says he needs to compete. I'm pretty confident Reich will decide who's on the field and when. Not saying these guys don't collaborate, but it doesn't feel like this coaching staff will leave the better player on the bench. Everything the Panthers have done screams they want to compete now and beyond.
  18. Sure, that all seems like 2+2 but it can the other way as well. Large bodies tend to wear out faster which is also 2+2. And to dive into a little more nuance....beyond build, luck and genes what else can extend a career in a physically punishing sport like the NFL? The ability to protect yourself, know the situation and play another down. I'd argue it's also 2+2 that physical specimens are more likely to stick their nose in it and pay a price. I'd expect Bryce to very good at protecting himself. Honestly, this is one big reason Brady's career was so long and successful, dude knew when to get down or throw it away.
  19. How can you say without durability concerns? I enjoy your insights but that's just using conjecture to support Stroud. This is the NFL, anyone can get destroyed on any play. Also are you suggesting that NFL teams try to hit small quarterbacks harder than they hit big ones.
