This is a rookie QB who is getting rushed from every direction on 80% of his snaps...

Actually it's 24%, here's the top 10 most pressured QBs in 2023 from Pro Football Reference.

  2. The NFL at it's base level is talent evaluation.  Teams that evaluate talent correctly or get lucky inch or jump ahead of teams that are bad at evaluation or unlucky.  Of course talent development is part of the process as well but even then the potential needs to be evaluated correctly.

Carolina doesn't seem to be very good at evaluating talent and even worse at developing potential.

  3. Short but interesting article about the Texans cutting him.

Not only was he the second most-used corner this year by the Texans, but he was also the third highest rated by PFF, with a score of 66.3, just behind Nelson (73.0) and Tavierre Thomas (72.2). Yet, he was released nonetheless in favor of King, who hasn't been as impressive this season from an on-field perspective.

I disagree you put him on the 49ers and he's an All Pro

Purdy is #1 in QBR and Rating along with several other important categories.  San Francisco is also winning games.  These are just the facts.

Bryce is 32nd in QBR and 30th in rating and near dead last in every significant category.  Carolina has won a single game, largely thanks to another surprising if not herculean defensive effort.  Again, these are just the facts.

Facts are knowable things.  We know Purdy is among the best playing and Bryce is among the worst.  Why that's the case is certainly subjective and good conversation.  However, making statements like Bryce would be an All Pro at San Francisco is nothing more than your opinion.  Anyone that pretends their opinion carries the same water as the facts isn't worth having a discussion with.

  5. The narrative really changed after the S2 test results were leaked.  The test didn't even have credibility.  Credibility was inferred because CJ's results were so bad it looked like he had a mental disability.  I think we were leaning Young but still split until that story broke, creating enough doubt to cement Bryce as the pick.

No one will ever pay attention to the S2 again.  However, wait a few years and you can probably sell the Panthers, Browns or Jets the all new S3 with brand new shapes to put in round holes!

If you think it couldn't have been worse, you haven't watched much Panthers football this season.

What is this?  Stop being foolish.  Any outcome other than converting ends the game.

I expect more from you than some lazy attempt at being witty, add to the conversation or just ignore my posts.

  7. We’re always a step behind.  Paying that fat contract one year too late, shipping a player one year too soon, trading when we shouldn’t and holding when we shouldn’t.  We have to be a laughing stock across the league.  Every team is always looking to see how they can fleece us.  Then Fitts says “in on every deal” and the collective chuckle caused a butterfly effect tsunami in Asia somewhere.  We’re a joke, in fact we’re not even good at being a joke….we’re a bad joke.

One of those games was because of Young’s 26-yard run putting us well over 100. Funny thing — he still has the only 22+ yard run this season by a Panther, and it’s one of a whopping two 20+ yard runs

Well you said you wished Carolina could have 150 yards rushing in a way that implied if Bryce got run support then the story might be different.  So I simply gave you the evidence that the lack of run support over the season has been equally bad in most respects.  Typically, a poster like you abandons their original argument and makes a new one, this time about Bryce helping his own rushing stats.  So dumb and lazy…Bryce has 135 yards rushing against CJs 78.  I’m sure you’ll convince yourself those 57 yards tell a hidden story only you can see.
