  1. Or the double tomahawk first down squat down 21.
  2. Your exact words were "Bryce's dad is a psychologist, I think they would know and understand how to manage personalities and know when and what to say when the time is right." I mean your directly saying that you think his Dad and by extension Bryce should know how to manage personalities in the context of a thread questioning his leadership. We'll just have to agree to disagree. If his Dad's profession and whatever influence it's had on Bryce has brought us to the point that we're debating the veracity Clowney's remarks then clearly there's a bridge to be built.
  3. What does Bryce's dad being a psychologist have to do with anything? Does phycologist proximity make everyone within the aura also qualified to be a phycologist? Could you just visit a phycologist and become one or does he need to be your Dad? Are all phycologist equal? Do any have their own baggage or bias or all they all just perfectly balanced human opinions because they have an education? Also I'm fairly confident, that "Because my Dad said so" doesn't garner much respect in the huddle. Beyond that, I think you're reading Clowney's response wrong anyway. I think he's saying in the kindest way possible that BY9 hasn't taken command of the team.
  4. This is the best part of the year.
  5. Honestly, I was most surprised that we made it to field goal range 29 times last year.
  6. This was a complete poo show, which is just my opinion of course. However, this opinion will become fact in a few months and the kool aid drinkers will act like blind squirrels find acorns. We did nothing to help ourselves in the draft. A first round WR with FOUR dud years in college. Yeah he’ll be a difference maker against pros with BY at QB. Dude has heavy feet out the gate which isn’t what we need. An injured RB that will take three years to hold Chubba’s jock. Sanders might be the best pick of our draft. But only because we’re awful at the position and BY should be a TE friendly QB. Too bad he can’t catch and block because we need both. Anything good after that would be a happy accident. The Panthers drafted with the same mentality they’ve had for years. Buy cheap and hope for value. It stinks of someone who treats a football team like the stock market, trying to outsmart the next guy and make an easy profit. The only real fix here is coaching up players with extraordinary physical attributes, that’s the NFL. Instead we try to draft “impact” players with marginal and even questionable physical attributes in the name of value. My only real hope this season is that we could find a rudder on the coaching side and establish some consistency somewhere in the org. This reeks of a David Tepper influenced draft though. Take a receipt, I’ll be here to happily take my medicine should our merry band of clowns accidentally got something right.
  7. I didn’t like this draft at all. XL, our first pick had one good season out of five and doesn’t have burst off the line. I wanted Ladd here because I think he’d have been a much better pairing for BY9s weak arm. We need to be an excellent west coast style offense if Bryce is gonna shine. A burner that takes 3 steps to get moving and doesn’t separate at the line is a bad choice IMO. I don’t even want to talk about drafting a RB after having Foreman make us feel better about trading CMC only to send him packing and give Sanders top FA money last year to fall on his face. We always try to get cute and find value. The fact that we were the first team to take a RB (one recovering from a serious injury no less) tells you we didn’t get the memo 31 other teams got. RB has a huge role in protection responsibility, it’s a huge reason some great backs are situational…they suck in protection. A rookie RB helping protect BY doesn’t warm my heart. We should have taken the top C on the board here IMO. LB and yet another project TE that’ll probably just frustrate us all for how long he hangs around seemingly doing nothing. Then a bunch of dice rolls that aren’t changing any fortune unless it’s a complete accident. TLDR This whole draft looks like JAGs to me at best. I don’t like the XL or JB picks at all. Always happy to be wrong when I have a negative take.
  8. Completely agree, I hate the pick. Bryce’s 10 yard bombs don’t pair well. Leggette had one good season and four others where no one knew who he was. We desperately need safety blankets for BY9 and I think Ladd would have been a better fit for that reason.
  9. We were hated when Cam/Olsen/Smitty/CMC/LUUUUKE/TD were patrolling. Now people just feel sorry for us.
  10. Without getting into the weeds over how many of these sacks are his own fault just answer this question… How did he play on the other 527 pass attempts that he wasn’t sacked?
  11. Baker wasn’t ready for prime time yet. He was still dealing with the mental speed bumps of injuries and being benched and humbled.
  12. What kind of dumb ass point are you trying to make?
  13. If that thing can air squat while shooting a double barrel first down celebration for a 2-14 team down 21 points at the time then I’d draft it #1 overall!
  14. Tepper threw his cup harder and more passionately than Bryce throws a football. He deserves honorable mention.
  15. You're also comparing games where the staff was still trying to legitimately find ways to win games to games that literally have zero consequence.
  16. You are arguing that you think the NFL would rubber stamp any move Tepper wanted to make unless I'm understanding you wrong. I brought up the Raiders because they tried to move to LA at the same time the Rams and Chargers did. Rams were told yes, Chargers were given a year, Raiders were told NO unless the Chargers didn't complete their move. The point I'm making is the NFL doesn't just rubber stamp what owners want to do. If they did, Raiders would be in LA instead of Vegas.
  17. If that were true the Raiders would be in LA. But the real truth is none of us know what would happen if he wanted to move. We do know Charlotte is a good market that the NFL has already invested in.
  18. You're the person speculating what Tepper will do. I only stated that Charlotte is a large market and already has a team. Otherwise, plenty of cities don't host drafts or Super Bowls. I'd suspect the NFL never involves emotion in such decisions. Instead mild weather, destination attractions, visitor capacity and maximizing revenue are more important. There's a reason Miami and New Orleans have hosted 21 Super Bowls. Just because Charlotte isn't a tourist city that tops the list for hosting major events doesn't mean it isn't a great market for a NFL team, so not sure what argument you're even trying to make.
  19. The NFL thought Charlotte was a good market to enter in the 90s and it has exploded in size since then. To think the NFL doesn't care about Charlotte when they've ALREADY put a team here is a bit comical.
  20. The Raiders tried to go to LA. Vegas was their second choice.
  21. I don't think Charlotte could be ignored, it's a huge market. With that said, LA went two decades before the Rams returned, followed shortly after by the Chargers.
