I disagree. You go into every season trying to put together the best roster you can at every position. Trying to put parts of a team in place before addressing other needs is sticking you head in the sand to injuries. At any moment in time your perfectly assembled line that's now ready for a QB could be decimated, as we've seen with our line this year. Starting 3rd stringers is going to be ugly on any team. Also, you never know when you'll catch lightning in a bottle and have a team that plays beyond expectations. Do we need oline upgrades? Absolutely. Do you forsake other needs until you have it? Absolutely not.

Using a gambling analogy to describe your football coaching plan is truly odd. You double down when a successful outcome is HIGHLY in your favor. Any other use of doubling down usually results in a bigger loss. Sounds like Rhule loses a lot of money in Vegas.

This is exactly how the NFL wants it. I became convinced that NFL officiating is influencing the narrative of the league after Super Bowl 50. It's not always subtle either. But the most glaring evidence is the willful rejection of technology that would guarantee the right call was made. Instead they try to frame it as some sentimental or authentic aspect of the game that would somehow reduce the purity of the product on the field. I'm not saying the NFL is rigged, but I am suggesting that officials have great power to manipulate the outcomes and the NFL seems happy to leave it that way.

Still waiting on the Jets to cut our real savior so we finally rebuild proper. But I nominate you nameless future ex-Jet, newly anointed Panther savior. You don’t know it yet but we already have our eyes on you!

That was a ridiculously bad coaching decision regardless of who our kicker is. Our defense was playing too good to be scared of attempting a 50 yarder in the NFL. Also, if you don't think your kicker has a decent shot from 50 what in flying hell is he doing on a NFL roster?

Sounds like this all started with the kid just wanting an autograph. Why not just sign an autograph? If things escalate from a guy wanting your signature to a physical altercation then the best path may not have been chosen.

I'm not going to bother supporting the following statement with stats, hopefully common sense will be enough. In the NFL the better team wins an overwhelming amount of the time. Thus it's not surprising that the better teams end up in the playoffs each year. Carolina is better than Miami by a wide margin at this point in time. Cam > Tannehill (Tannehill is a ..good.. developing young QB, but this isn't even close.) Smith/Lafell/Ginn/Olsen > Wallace/Hartline/Matthews/Clay (Wallace would compete for best WR on the field but as a group I give our guys the edge) Williams/Stewart/Tolbert/Cam > Miller/Thomas (Miami's running game is respectable but Cam puts us over the top here again) Offensive line (Carolina grades out better in every meaningful category, Martin and Incognito both gone now as well) Defense (Does this merit any discussion whatsoever? ) Special Teams (Field Goal % Carolina, Touchbacks Carolina, Punting Miami, Returns Push) Summary, Carolina is better over the entire field. Biggest concerns Carolina will have on defense, don't let Wallace blow the top off our secondary, seriously doubt protection will hold up long enough for that to happen anyway. On offense....Cameron Wake. Overall, be disciplined on Special teams and don't allow Miami to change the game cheaply and protect the ball. Do these things and the better team will win...Carolina!
