  1. This dude was as instrumental the the rock n roll beginnings as Elvis. RIP sir
  2. Things were a bit divided before Trump. I would say Clinton years are were it started getting past the point of civility
  3. Actually, Trump did not call the virus a hoax. Late nighters and Twitter will lead you to believe that. Washpo and others agree
  4. Meh, Fauci has been there forever and would have been crafting the same policy if the pandemic had happened to Clinton, Bush, Obama and now Trump. The cheerleading would have been different, but the policy pretty much the same. For all of Trumps blabbering, they pretty much stuck w what Fauci and Birks told them to do. Probably as much as the other guys would have done
  5. You could be right, might have judged too quickly. You just seemed to be following the same path as so many others. My apologies.
  6. Most people will try to take advantage of the ill informed, reactionary public. But, whether or not Trump is a loud mouth, or Obama is cool and calm, or Bush is folksy, or Clinton bites his lip, there is not much any of them could have done on this other than take some precautions. People will use a crisis for their advantage, especially in an election year. You and Bull and 4 Corners and most others that want to be political, are not very concerned with the virus at all. It is just a time to grind your ax. You can argue all day that he should have done something quicker, but then Dems were criticizing the moves. Most Pols automatically land on the other side of every argument based on the D and R. These are just societal facts in a Democracy and especially one that is in an election year. This type of stuff is all the better in the Tinderbox. There, they hope each other dies, wish you would die, hope you do things that kill you. It is a right respectable place, if you are into that type stuff.
  7. The Tinderbox has a thread that is full of stupidity and name calling. Check it out
  8. Take this back to TB
  9. I know the mods agree with you, but take it to the TB anyway
  10. You "low point" about everything you touch here, so pardon if you get deaf ears on that one
  11. They would come under the "people chasing billions" part of my statement
  12. Actually, I thought it was going to be a finger prick. Turned out that it was a vile. Supposedly 99% accurate for Covid 19. Asked about the finger prick and she said their accuracy was in the 80 something % accuracy. Will know something Tues/Wed next week
  13. Yep Quest $119 Have to visit one of their labs, make appt and pay online, come in with mask, they call your name, get results via internet. Feel like my wife had it because of her symptoms. Thinking/hoping I was the asymptomatic carrier where she caught it(something). I have been in and out and she never left home. Will advise
  14. Taking antibodies test tomorrow
  15. Might find out that cases go up but deaths do not upon reopening the country. I think the thing has spread to far more places than originally thought
  16. I also don't doubt one bit that hospitals, knowing that the gov will pay the bills on covid 19 cases, will code things as "suspected" coronavirus without any tests. Follow the money is pretty simple. There are billions out there for the taking, figure out a way to get some of it.
  17. Some of the beach stuff did seem a bit "out there". But, you do build up immunities by being exposed to stuff. So I take both sides of the argument with agreement and skepticism to a degree
  18. The government and people chasing government handouts of billions, would never do anything shady. C'mon
  19. That why she's an ex now? joking
  20. https://www.foxnews.com/science/recovered-patients-who-tested-positive-for-covid-19-likely-not-reinfected
  21. https://www.foxnews.com/science/can-antibody-tests-tell-if-youre-immune-to-covid-19
  22. I was under the impression that a flu shot was specifically modified to treat a certain strain and next years flu shot was modified for a different strain. Covid 19 is its own strain, so why take it again? I suppose in 3-4 years, it will have mutated somewhat and be called something else? I have no idea, seems like a moving target
  23. Not understanding how having the virus does not give immunity, but a vaccine will. Have read all sorts of articles about "maybes" and "ifs" but nothing definitive. Please link articles you guys are reading as I cannot find
  24. I thought I read that a result like that meant it could have been a former, similar SARS type virus or the real thing. It meant you had something, but not necessarily Covid 19. Could be wrong as there are so many "ifs" out there now cause it is too early for anything to be definitive
