I think there are probably several reasons to keep research like this locked down. First to protect the work you have already accomplished and make sure it does not get infected itself. If they are trying to break into the system, then I would let the entire world know it and give them proof. What most are saying, is that a truthful post, would include CNN, MSNBC, Govs of NY, NJ, LA, etc., not just the morons who watch one side of the political theater. If we can do that, then we are ripe for any sort of disaster that would demand facts. American morons, need no facts, we don't require them, ever. Maybe instead of everyone being "holier than thou" and smarter than everyone else, you look at again, the reasons people are not responding to the virus the same way. Not a lack of intelligence, but trust. Social media and politics are poison when searching for the truth.
