  1. Charlotte fans would have acted the same, or worse, since it would have been our first.
  2. Lawrence has about a 75% chance of making it and being a good, maybe great, 10 yr starter. Odds go down significantly on the other 3. I would not trade up for any QB, other than Lawrence. All too steep
  3. BPA at 8 or trade down
  4. I expect Cincy to take WR Chase. They have high hopes in their young tackles
  5. Bucs outplayed them on both sides of the ball. Game changers for KC was losing their left tackle in championship game. Retooling the entire Oline sent Mahomes scrambling way too often and cut down their playbook quite a bit. After Brady saw what their defense was doing, it was just a methodical bullying from 2nd qtr on. Left tackles seem to be quite important. Losing theirs, caused Mahomes to look like Bridgewater last night
  6. I feel that many reporters "have" to have something to say and the "source" thing can be their reflection in their morning coffee
  7. It was basically a "no comment" answer Wasted time watching it
  8. Maybe not, if they were taking Trey Lance, having Teddy there for a year or so might not have been a bad idea
  9. You have to figure the Texans, if entertaining a trade at all, were already asking far more than what the Rams gave up for Stafford, thus the Stafford trade happening at all. If Watson could have been had for this package, it would be him instead of Stafford already. Stafford was probably a fallback position for the Rams.
  10. Teddy is a good locker room guy and could be a good mentor, so they might be so inclined if bringing in a new guy
  11. So, we give them the 5th comp pick? Let him compete with Teddy?
  12. Seems like we might know a WR who could tell us a thing or two about him
  13. Meh, if he'd have signed here, after initial meltdown, ya'll would be all silver linings. "Maybe Rhule saw something" "Brady can work miracles" "We all know Ron wasted him" etc, etc, etc. But hey, I am with you, sort of glad we are still looking
  14. Not hoping for a big swing....and miss
  15. I think it changes from year to year. I think most teams grade players, thus the "he had a 1st round grade, so we moved up quickly in the 2nd to grab him" type stuff. Also, from year to year the amount of guys with 1st round grades change. Not at all strange to see guys who pick in the mid twenties move out of the first round
  16. I have never been a proponent of large RB contracts. One can think back on the Double Trouble debacle. However, CMC is a bit more than a RB and will be used a lot in situations to gain back the productivity of losing Samuel. We had a lot of firepower with the 3 WR's and this year, it will be 2 WR's and a RB. Besides, high contract and an injury do not spell good trade value.
  17. I was hoping someone would start a thread on Watson and Carolina........
