  1. Have not had it, I wear a mask, but lots of people going stir crazy for 8 months. They are willing to risk it I guess. I guess 8 months of spinning the cylinder makes some of them want to pull the trigger
  2. Maybe they are not denying it exists, but choosing to go through it?
  3. Chin up. My aunt has been in rest home for 10 years and only a percentage of her heart works. 91 years old. She caught Covid and pneumonia about 3 weeks ago. Somehow, she came through it and is eating well again and will start therapy next week. Back up and walking. Have no clue how she made it through. Refused to go to hospital on 2 occasions.
  4. Europe kinda doing the same
  5. He did not mention herd immunity. Basically what is happening in most of Europe is very high cases, but very little death rate. Sweden death rate even lower than other Euro countries. Most think the new infections are younger people
  6. Check out the rolling average daily deaths in Sweden. That was the point of the doctor I linked

  8. Sweden might have been correct after all
  9. Most people know that the pandemic was always a tightrope that had to be walked between economic disaster and health and safety. Most pols have failed the test. Surprise, surprise. Even though Covid was going to affect only a small percentage of Americans, measures were put in place on everyone. Economic fallouts, political fights, etc. are in full force, but common sense and segregating the vulnerable was never accomplished and for the most part, not attempted. Do not elevate any pol to some sort of god like persona. They are all just manipulative bastards. Trump, Biden, RNC, DNC, give me a break. Corona was the perfect thing for them to show us just how much we need them. https://www.aier.org/article/the-new-normal-is-wrecking-new-york/
  10. All numbers are real, just not always correct....as usual, it depends on the event as to how something is spread and how REAL the numbers are. Would not trust most media outlets and their spin about protests spreading nor bike rallies. https://www.aier.org/article/the-sturgis-bike-rally-sensationalist-reporting-and-broken-disease-models/
  11. I wasn't excusing either one there Festus. Just calling em both self promoting
  12. Election years here are right out of a comic book
  13. I'll get right on that. If only Trump would have stayed a Democrat, you guys could all switch sides and insults. Ya'll take the cake.
  14. Or, kinda like someone filming people drowning on their phone for the video cred and not helping the victims. I'd say, 2 wonderfully self promoting individuals there. Of course you only see one. Would not expect anything more.
  15. So Woodward, being the righteous person in this episode, waited until September, when big headlines mean big book sales to release this info? Wouldn't a caring individual, who wants to save the world, let the details be know back in Feb so he could save 200k people from dying? Or just watch the carnage so book sales would be robust? Trying to figure out the real villain here, or are there 2?
  16. We learned, just like Europe, that rest homes are very vulnerable. Everyone was supposed to know that going in, at least we all argued about it in early March, but still, we got hit hard there. Not protecting the elderly, and our country being way too fat and stubborn, all goes into the soup we have been served. You can try to blame it all on your most hated political enemies, but it won't help the facts. Gov has no common sense.
  17. Texas was also checking people coming in from LA after the blowup in New Orleans
  18. Florida had some restrictions early on when half of NY headed their way, but not sure how long it lasted
  19. Why not just "estimate" 500k, sounds even more dramatic
  20. Yep. As the Covid world turns. Seems like the biggest thing was N95 masks, then ventilators, and on and on. With each crisis comes the realization that maybe it was not a big a crisis as stated. Toilet paper seemed like a crisis 5 years ago. Sooo much info has come and gone since all this started. But it still goes back to what we knew. Keep the old and sick/health issues isolated, and 90% of your problem solved. For some reason, we have taken the approach that everyone had to isolated, which meant nobody got isolated. It might have been cruel to lock up the elderly, so to speak, but because we did not, the virus seemed to ravage senior homes as expected. It happened in other countries too. UK and Italy had same issues. But yeah, Biden could have fixed all that, haha. Actually, I doubt any politician could have fixed it. They could have talked about it better, made us think they "cared" haha, but doubt the actual responses would have been a lot more effective
