    I think Chase is a lot better than a dynamic receiver. He's obviously better than anyone else on the field and he knows it. So do the guys trying to cover him. Dare I say it, like Steve Smith.

    And sorry if it's been discussed ad nauseum. What do guys think of Jamarr Chase and what would it take to get there? He'll almost certainly be gone at 8 right? Failing a franchise QB, I wouldn't mind Chase at all. The guy is uncoverable. I wouldn't mind 12 years of Steve Smith the II.

    I guess there's an argument for "it's not going to cost us anything", but damn. Seems like a Barret Robbins thing waiting to happen, but at least Robbins played a few years. This guy couldn't even get on the field.

    One other thing. I know the value of RBs is down in general, but they're not obsolete. What would the Saints be without Kamara or the Titans without Henry, for instance? I don't know. Wouldn't surprise me if the league starts using RBs again. Probably never see Earl Campbell again, but if RBs start picking up 6 yards per carry, might be another adjustment.

    Fair enough, and yes, that was a stupid comment by me re: McCaffrey's contract. It was unnecessary, agreed. Doesn't make him untradeable though. Not that I want to see him traded, but he is absolutely in play, especially with a team that is hemorrhaging star players. That is not far fetched.

    No way. That's a lot of erratic behavior in 1 year. Way too much, and involves substance abuse. The guy clearly has a problem.

    Huh? His contract is pretty reasonable, and the cap hit is nothing if we can land a top 5 QB. I hope we can hold on to McCaffrey, but he is obviously movable.

    Hell if we get Watson and hold on to Macaffrey, this will be a fun team to watch. Unlikely...but damn.

    I can put up with rebuilding, but this is ridiculous. Really. A good year and then lousy the next season? Repeatedly, every fuging time. That makes no sense at all. What are we doing? Whatever it is I've had about enough.

    Media lies? What are you talking about? Anyway, the Carolina Panthers literally have yet to have consecutive winning seasons in our history. It has never happened. Brief, somewhat shining moments, but always seems accidental. It would be nice to follow a 15-1 without a 6-10. That sort of thing, you know? I never felt like Cam could do that. I think Watson could.

    Look, just playing it safe, overthinking and jealously guarding picks we're looking at 4 to 9 win seasons indefinitely. I don't want to watch that. I think if there is any chance at Watson, bet the farm.
