I'm as much of a Steve Smith fan as anyone and he was absolutely better than the WRs on this ballot, but the numbers don't make an iron clad case. What are you guys seeing in statistical comparisons that separate Smith?
That was an ordinary play with an extremely unlikely and unfortunate result. There is no one to blame and no reason to change anything. It was an awful event and hopefully Damar Hamlin recovers.
I don't know what you guys think you saw but Cards were not dominating the Bucs on the ground.
Carolina might on one of our good days, but Arizona could not, and did not run it down the Bucs throats. The only reason they had a chance is Brady and Bucs offense overall had yet another terrible game. They are a mess.
Didn't look that way to me at all. Bucs D had no trouble with the punchless Cardinals in any way. The only reason they were in the game is Brady was awful for 3 and half quarters again.
I agree. This team has some late season fight for the first time in years. And playoffs or no, I'd much rather finish strong than hoping and praying to lose so we can move up a couple of spots in the draft for God's sake. A lot more fun to follow and much better way to move forward.
I wouldn't be surprised if Baker turns out to be pretty good and the team gels a bit and we go 9-8. I also wouldn't be surprised if we get off to a promising start then the wheels come off around week 5 for whatever reason and finish with 5-6 wins. Panthers are weird the way they completely fold when they hit a snag. As in, it really looks like they quit trying to play football. This isn't even new, they've always done that.
Absolutely hope we get Watson, and not one ounce of reservation about it. It's crazy to think otherwise. I doubt it will happen because this team doesn't end up with breaks like this, but damn I hope it does. Consecutive winning seasons are a possibility with Deshaun.
I do, but they are far too few and in between. Hard to believe we've been to 2 super bowls and never enjoyed back to back winning seasons. Panthers are a rough team to root for, though I suppose it could be worse.
Happy he's back, but crossing my fingers. I don't know what to expect.
I prefer we would have started PJ for this one and given Cam another week to prepare while riding the "Cam's Back!" morale boost. Maybe have him come in in hero spots a couple of times like last week. He hasn't had much time to get game ready and if he stinks it up, then what?
Yeah, that's not on Anderson, Darnold just isn't looking downfield yet. Robbie was wide open more than once, as replays showed. That throw is there, and I bet Darnold starts to find him.
