I don’t think Teppers deep pockets are as big of a draw as we’d like to think when the baseline salary a guy like Johnson will pull is “you’ll never have to work again.”
-
Nah. No more retreads
-
I agree in doubting he’ll leave. We’re not attracting any Tier 1 names (coach or GM) unless Tepper makes a concerted effort to assure candidates that he’ll be significantly more hands off this go around and let the football staff do their thing, which I don’t think he will. bad time to be a panthers fan

If you were GM, how would you use our that first pick in round 2?
Coheed replied to SCO96's topic in Carolina Panthers
WR or OL. It’s absolutely not going to be a QB lol -
How on earth do you read “refusing to make a judgement on him until the situation improves” and take “100% on board that he nailed the Young pick” out of it??????? Lmao this board
-
Nah. fug Sean Payton.

Saying Bryce was the consensus top QB prior to the draft isnt cope, it’s literally just stating a historical fact lol. You can feel however you want about his future or performance this year, but even if literally every single pass was a pick or into the dirt, it wouldn’t change the fact that at the time of the draft he *was* the consensus top pick.

Players react to firing. They don’t seem too upset

This is not inspiring confidence. Dude is taking no accountability. We’re the new factory of sadness lmao

Frank Reich Fired as Panthers HC - Official
Coheed replied to NJPanthers12's topic in Carolina Panthers
I know a lot are waiting for Reich to confirm he wanted Stroud/other clashes with ownership but he’s always striked me as a guy that has no desire to rustle any feathers and just take his retirement money and go home. Even if Tepper completely over rode Reich on Young over Stroud, I don’t see that being something frank would ever confirm. -
That sucked but there was at least the hope and optimism of a new regime/era on its way.

Been a fan for 15 years and this is the worst I’ve ever felt about the team. Actually turned off the game yesterday and didn’t care. I actually miss being pissed off by the team but now it’s just apathy. Unless Tepper had an about face and stops involving himself to the degree he has, we’re fuged.

No one with options is going to want to coach here, and Johnson is going to have many of them.
-
Good candidates with options? None. will people still want the job? Ofc, there is some truth to the “only 32 teams…” mantra *but*, the best candidates with options will absolutely not want anything to do with here with Tepper at the helm. we aren’t getting Ben Johnson, or Slowik, or the next McDaniels, or a Demeco. The only appeal for working for our org at this point is salary. its fugging sad

Frank Reich Fired as Panthers HC - Official
Coheed replied to NJPanthers12's topic in Carolina Panthers
Dude had to go but I don’t think any HC candidates with options is going to want to come here. Tepper is pure toxicity and now that Snyders no longer in the league to draw the spotlight away, is quickly establishing himself as the worst owner by far.- 415 replies

Absolutely not. Weren’t m were reports of how happy the raiders locker room after he was gone? Beyond that - the poo he pulled in Denver and Indy - the dude is a snake. Nope, nope then absolutely tugging nope again. Him being some sort of QB whisperer is way over played IMO. Between carr and cutler, he has a history of shipping QBs to start worse guys cause he thinks he’s the poo. He’s not, he’s just poo. IMO at least. Riding the coattails of Brady and the patriots org just like Adam Gase did w Peyton.

Thanks mayne

Foreman was offered before Sanders was signed
-
We tried to
-
Fitterer is absolute trash and needs to go, but we did try and resign foreman.
-
Fundamentally just can’t understand actively rooting for your own player to fail because you think you know exactly what his ceiling is 5 games in.
-
If that’s the *only* progress you’re seeing then that’s some selective vision. Neither you nor I have any idea how Bryce is going to turn out but I’m at least willing to give him some time.
-
Not even 5 games into a rookies career, of which he’s shown clear progress week by week, and you’re hoping he plays so badly that we have to move on ASAP? I’ve seen some awful takes here but JFC, literally why even be a fan at that point. also, after the next draft we will have first round picks again, it’s not like we’re going to be going *years* without firsts.
-
Adams is 30 and has talked openly about wanting to content/his time running out. He’s not coming here lol.
-
I’m not out on Mingo but I agree, fitt needs to ago. The past few years have been beyond egregious in mismanaging assets all the draft capital we’ve traded for either JAGS or players we don’t resign (Darnold, Baker, Gilmore, trade up for Corral, trade of up for DJ Johnson) rejecting the burns trade and not including him in the trade to move to 1, but instead trading our 1 WR which we’re now in desperate need of, all to keep a player who’s on the fast track to walking this off season for a wasted year. Miles sanders Every decision just reeks of trying to get out of a hole he dug himself. He has no clear vision, and seems to care more about “deals” than anything else
