  1. Of course they didn’t show the “taunting” … makes me think even more it was a total bullsh*t call.
  2. I agree with the college coaches are rarely ever successful in the NFL. I’m never opposed to a retread depending on who it is AND I’d prefer that over a college coach. Maybe Rhule will pan out, I’ll stay hopeful …. BUT like you said , I think then having an entire staff of college coaches and one, Brady, I don’t think was even a coordinator in college was a mistake.
  3. I don’t think it’s to loud. I can see how some might feel that way. If anything it sounds like cr*p …. I’m in the upper level and we can barely understand what’s being said and the music sounds muffled. It’s not clear at all.
  4. I hear ya and agree. The "what am I missing here" as it applies to why bring Cam back now ... I think if they went forward with CJ & Barkley for the rest of the season that would basically be throwing in the towel and tanking for a draft pick of which you probably piss off half the locker room full of people you probably want part of your team next year .... so to me it was either lose the locker room for good or bring a QB in (in this case Cam is probably the best out there) and give the team at least a chance of winning games, and maybe playoffs if they can get even average to good QB play. That to me that is the why.
  5. Hell yeah.... it was either this or tank and lose the entire locker by going with PJ & Barkley for the rest of the season. Just wish they did this sooner.
  6. To me the frustrating thing, yes this is hindsight, .... is I was ok they passed on Fields and Jones. To me the fact Denver who also desperately needed a QB and picked right after the Panthers also passed on them was somewhat telling and I was ok not going in that direction. THE part in hindsight that I think was the mistake, was not drafting Slater to play LT. So now the Panthers still need to address QB and LT with no 2nd round pick ... so it will be almost impossible to address both in the next draft. If they went Slater and not Horne, at least the LT spot would have resolved. Now again, it will take most likely another two drafts to address both positions and that stinks. Unless of course they trade future draft capital which also stinks.
  7. Not surprised the shoulder is hurt. I said it right away to my son before right after the play that Darnold got his shoulder rocked. I still think overall that was a dumb play all around. I already know Darnold will play all out for the team... what we didn't need was for him to act like a RB five yards from the endzone and to get rocked.
  8. Guess it’s a matter of opinion. Darnold was at least five yards away and was not going to bulldoze over defenders there. I’d rather my starting QB not play like a RB in that situation.
  9. Yeah … I had a problem with the call or decision by Darnold or both. Not sure what Darnold was thinking acting like a RB towards the end of that play. As a result he takes himself out of the game and potentially future ones. To me that was not a very smart decision.
  10. Boring no … disappointing this season for sure and making it even more disappointing overall is that we are back in need a QB hell and feels like we are headed for another stretch of what it was like between Delhomme to Cam and that was a brutal stretch.
  11. I get this we need an OL ... yeah we do for sure... BUT even with time Darnold is throwing horrible passes to open receivers a lot, not seeing open receivers, and making horrible decisions, etc. And if its because he is seeing ghosts, etc then he is damaged and probably not salvageable. So yeah we need an OL, but even with a good OL it looks like Darnold is not the answer, sadly because I was optimistic with the trade for him.
  12. Making it difficult for me to be all in is the unknown of the legal issues and that is where trading 1st round picks and players is the big risk should you end up still needing to draft a QB or get one via free agency if Watson is not able to play. OTHERWISE... I am all in on a trade because you are going to end up using a first round pick or trading a bunch to move up in the draft for an unknow and your in this constant cycle of drafting and bringing QBS that its worth to trade capital for a proven guy.
  13. I would have rather watched this garbage with Cam at QB and yes I do feel he would have been better than Bridgewater and Darnold.
  14. You missed my point. Even if that’s what Cam ended up being …. We’d be in no worse position we’re in now. Seeing what we have since… I would have rather watched this garbage with Cam at QB and yes I do feel he would have been better than Bridgewater and Darnold.
  15. It just pisses me if we got rid of Cam for these now two seasons of crap at the QB position. If anything we’d be in same position we’re in now.
  16. Looks like the way this Panther team is being built is they are doing both ... rebuilding and making moves to win now.
  17. I posted about the no Keep Pounding chant missing on here when I got home after the game. It was interesting to see some others perspectives on it. Here is that thread I did find it peculiar it was not done at all. There was several times throughout the game I thought it was a good time for it, and it wasn't even done after the drum to start the game. My son did get a survey after the game about his experience at the stadium and there were several questions about the chant so they are obviously thinking of eliminating it all together is my guess. As far as the drum crew... they were there, just in the opposite corner from the past years.
  18. There was no Keep Pounding chants at all today at the game. None lead by the stadium board etc which is usually always been done to start the game and several times throughout. Anybody else find that peculiar? and was that an intentional omission Guess it might be up to the fans in the seats to keep that going ourselves. I still find it strange that it was none existent today, that they didn’t even try once to get it going.
  19. No penalty called on this one ... just like many other brutal hits Cam took and this hit by Watt was clearly a spear as he lead with his helmet.
  20. Have to take Cam's comment it all started in 2016, but if there was any hope of recovery ... this was the hit that officially ended Cam's shoulder. Week 10 in 2018.
  21. I hear you and agree it’s more than just parking revenue but also a person who has made billions is counting the revenue they’re not getting from parking as part of the picture. Overall I agree he wants a big entertainment, sports district and if he buys the pipe factory land hopefully he builds all kinds of stuff there and leaves the stadium where it’s at for all the other reasons i mention in my posts.
  22. I agree and don’t think building a new stadium would be very popular right now (even in best of times it’s not very popular) and now especially coming out of Covid etc and lots of unknowns about the future etc its not something that would go over well. The stadium has the main thing the owners want which is the suites and club seats, of which BofA has plenty. There is also lots of room inside to add amenities. They don’t have the party decks, but have put out scenarios where they can add them. The only real and main thing I see it doesn’t have and what Tepper wants is maybe a retractable roof. Hopefully this discussion simply continues for years, never gets done , or they retrofit and upgrade the current stadium for football because I have awesome seats and don’t want to lose them .
  23. For people who think and say having a stadium at a location where you have a big parking lot around the stadium makes it easier to get in and out are totally mistaken. I’ve been to plenty of stadiums like that and it can takes hours to get out of there after games. Stadiums and even arenas with big massive parking lots are the worst. Having the parking spread out all across the city like it is now makes it much easier & quicker to get on the road after a game. The only negative (for Tepper only) is he doesn’t get to participate in the parking revenue the current way. Overall, for many reasons, the best location for the stadium is where it is now and despite the fact I don’t think Panthers need one (still a very nice stadium, with plenty of suites, club seats etc) the most likely scenario will be to play somewhere else while they tear down and build at the current location. Or simply keep upgrading the current stadium and if possible retrofit with a retractable dome so Tepper can have his final fours and other stuff.
  24. NE at home early in the season,,,, either week 1 or 2. The league will want Cam playing QB when the Patriots come to town and that is most likely early. The longer season goes on, increases chances he gets hurt or replace by Jones (the latter being less likely)
  25. In hindsight the best strategy would have been to go into last season with Allen and Heinike and hope to end up with a top four or better pick. Instead they brought in Bridgewater hoping for a winning season. Instead Teddy was mediocre at best, pretty avg to bad in the second half of almost all the games and 0-8 in game winning drive attempts ALL with like you said skill players. So the Panthers are still no better with Teddy unless he improves tremendously, which I don't see happening based on what we have seen, and most likely the Panthers are again on the outside looking in at drafting a top QB and having to trade away future draft picks to move up or hope someone falls. If anything, should Darnold suck as bad as you think the team ends up in a better draft position and we are still going QB next year in the draft or on the flip side he does improve tremendously and we dont have to daft a QB next year. With Teddy at helm, the Panthers are definitely still having to draft a QB in 2022. I really dont see much downside bringing in Darnold. Worst case the panthers are in the same position they would have been anyway and if anything with a better draft position for a QB.
