  1. Kareem Hunt was all world before he pieced up that female in the hotel hall way. Stop it, bad example! What about San Fran's chaos and how they are all waiting around praying CMC makes it back this year. One good RB injury has Arizona leading that division! Quit with the media narrative that RBs are a dime a dozen. They are not and nobody from the outside media said Detroit was dumb for drafting Gibbs top ten last year. And if you could find a couple draft pundits who thought they had a better idea for the pick, boy does Detroit look smarter right now!
  2. Good trade, good win. Rome wasn't built in a day and all that jazz. My belief is we have are establishing a decent base to be competitive in a couple of years. Hear me, competitive, not contending. Next year's draft will be huge and the level of these picks are going to position us to take some good players.
  3. I just want somebody to settle into that Hangartner role and I may give Mays too much credit. He played so well early and has fell off since injuries crept into his vocabulary. He was struggling to get push on those goal line runs today.
  4. You cannot say it doesn't matter who is playing QB ever in any circumstance. The first two games of the season, Bryce was standing in the pocket with time missing throws left and right. We were running the ball well, but even the gimme throws Canales was setting up, Bryce was missing. Then you start Dalton, boom easy win at Las Vegas. By week four's end, three of our best defenders are seriously injured, center injured, 2nd best veteran WR hurt, and best veteran WR quitting on the team. Canales is a rookie head coach, and he definitely has had some see what sticks moves. But players are being schemed open, the rookies are progressing nicely, and you have the albatross of some terrible lack of talent to phase out. I give him credit alone for pulling Mingo, Thomas, and going with the better/younger producing players. The scheme is better, he just needs better players and I am not going to write him off until he gets more talent, starting with QB!
  5. How quickly we forget the Atlanta game. Brady was the reason a few of our drives stalled as Grady Jarrett single handedly beat him across his face to tackle Chuba for big losses. That hadn't happened to Corbett all year. Ickey has played solid and graded out well this year. Now once Moton retires, moves on, we will have a place to start BC. Whether that is at LT or RT remains to be seen, but Cade played better at C yesterday than BC. BC is not the future at center, but right tackle.
  6. Yeah, take some video and if they get better you can video that and sell the movie idea to WB.
  7. Yeah, when they brought in the anti-Cam with Teddy two gloves, I knew he was scared to death of Cam. He needed guys he knew were such pussy-os that they wouldn't laugh when he did moronic things like break his sunglasses while demonstrating drills.
  8. Worse, at least Gabbert could hand off to Fournette, not put his defense in horrible positions, and make enough competent throws to get to the playoffs and advance there.
  9. The only weird thing to me is how everyone was saying how good of a teammate he was when it seemed the writing was on the wall due to his increasing negativity.
  10. There are definite times where as a sports fan you can see the perfect storm. The raiders game being one of them. There was a QB change, raiders had a weak offense, weak defense. A parlay was paying out at +850 for Dalton, Chuba, and Johnson to all have TDs. It is the safest bet going forward, because these are professionals and the Panthers have guys who could possibly be good backups and special teamers in the future starting at important positions.
  11. And please no Gardner Minshew. His name always comes up and he is garbage truck juice!
  12. The last three weeks we have lost two players off of our revamped o-line. AT being out matters, because they are having to push Coker at the slot because Mingo is a bust. The next three difference makers behind Brown and Horn on defense have been hurt, one for the season. As mentioned in the post above, what do you expect Canales to do? Players are still being schemed open and there is still a lot of meat being left on the bone in explosive plays due to the personnel. Take the Sanders play yesterday on the naked play action boot. He tripped on the turf and fell when he had a blocker in front with a whole side line of green grass. Chuba got tackled for a one yard gain on a zone scheme where the line caved down the entire Washington dline and all he had to do was make a cut back for a wide open foot race. If Miles gets his head around on the screen, maybe we get 7 or at least 3 out of the first march straight down the field. Diontae and Dalton got their signals crossed on the next possession on an easy rhythm passing play. I am with you, he doesn't get a complete pass, there are growing pains, but the offense has not been figured out, they just will need to gain continuity, and continue to add playmakers as well as let these kids grow up in the system.
  13. He is still doing Darnold stuff. He is throwing into double coverage, bad mechanics, and panicking with the slightest pressure. He just has a monster WR and a monster defense. He is a good place holder, but you better go get a guy who can make plays when you want to make the jump.
  14. But, but, but WIlks was more of Fox and Rivera clone! Never mind the players were head over heels for him, we had extra draft capital, that was when we experienced the most success in franchise history, and he was a native son. Now they have their young offensive mind in Canales and nobody can steal him away, which was another bogus reason for not hiring Wilks(What if his OC has a good season and someone steals him). Look at what is happening in Houston and though someone may eventually make Bobby an offer, but for now they are crushing it with a defensive minded head coach and his OC handling the offense. But according to the Huddle and Tepper, that would never work and was a waste of time. Face palm emoticon!
  15. That's the hardest for me. And he is operating with the chip on his shoulder that we were gonna take him and passed at the last minute. Every interview he did over the summer was how he thought he was going to Carolina. It's working out for him swimmingly in Houston, but he wanted to be here. Face palm emoticon.
  16. He clings on to the Green Bay end of the game drive and like four other plays. My response is dude you are falling on your sword for short Josh Rosen!
  17. Seeing an organization bend over backwards to appease a guy who is cooked, is a bad teammate, won't listen to coaches, and personally doesn't deal with anybody in his family and get a pass from the media is infuriating. The only person I have seen that has said anything remotely to address it has been Troy Aikman. He said it has the potential to fall apart and get ugly.
  18. I have a friend who argues till he's blue in the face that Bryce just needs a new shot with a coach that configure an offense around his skillset. I am like "What skillset! He does nothing well!". He's not the biggest, doesn't have the best pocket presence, he isn't the fastest, but he does have a weak arm!
  19. That is how you keep the fanbase engaged in a rebuild. I liken it to seeing a high school team with a bunch of sophomores on varsity. They are competing and you know once those pups grow up they are going to be hard to deal with. These dudes are a great foundation, and once you bring in a new QB in a couple of years they will be seasoned. Because of how Andy is playing, they are able to progress, the GM is able to evaluate, and the coach has players that will be years comfortable in his system. And @rayzor made a point earlier that only a certain kind of fan would know to make. You build a culture even in losing if everyone is fighting together. Those guys know what it is to lose, how they lost games, and what they are lacking. As they grow, you hit on a few picks, bring in a couple of veterans with winning mentalities, and they will be hard to deal with. We have ability to get the cream of the crop in the draft and cap space will be workable. But as long as you're building that culture of constantly fighting, eventually you become a team that can't be broken, the next man up mentality, and the punch you in the mouth kind of team like the 2010-2018 Seahawks or Harbaugh's 49ers.
  20. I just don't understand the love and affinity for this player. All online today were stupid Bryce apologists comments. These are two that I especially thought were egregious. That's my problem with Tepper. He has been so inept as an owner, people are really acting like it took an organization to ruin the shortest first round QB in the history of the draft with a weak arm, and a soft demeanor. Bryce was never going to be a good NFL QB and only Tepper couldn't see it. Bryce would be garbage truck juice in Houston, Tennessee, and Indianapolis. If Bryce would've been in there we'd at least got a field goal. How's that change to Andy Dalton treating ya?
  21. I'm supporting all things Nico! Kid can't be sped up, crazy accurate and hard worker. He should be polished in two years. If we drafted defense heavy next year, resigned some guys, a couple of crafty free agent moves, the team would be ready for that franchise QB in 26.
  22. That's the thing for me. He is tough and runs hard when the o-line creates for him as well as not being a fumbler. But certain points in all of our games if you know what you are looking for, you see missed opportunities. Yesterday the line caved down on one particular play, he was one on one with Terrell the CB, and he only got two yards. A better back would have broke that tackle and it would've been off to the races. That is what having a game breaker at RB gives you. Everyone is so used to taking a RB high is a ancient way to run a team narrative, but Bijon ran wild all over us yesterday. Teams are going to start running the ball again as defenses are just small fast and rangy nowadays. That is why Derrick Henry is still doing what he is in Baltimore.
  23. It's like The View with sports. I like sports but I hate The View so in turn not a big fan of these shows.
  24. It's even better with a Haloti Ngata, Vince Wilfork type guy and OLBs like TJ Watt. Watt can hold the line of scrimmage and rush the passer like a 4-3 end which is what you need when they are sending the house off tackle. If a team goes true smash mouth with a pulling lineman, lead blocker, and tight end we have almost nothing to stop it. It is just easier to outfit a 4-3.
