That's my thing with him, and it is a pull your hair out WTF play. Also, his issues make you really angry because they seem like a lack of attention to detail. He will just be completely coasting and give up a huge play. I'll be looking like what was he doing, thinking, see? It boggles the mind.
-
Man it wasn't because he is young. Those were just bad throws. The first was too low and the highpoint was easy for the much shorter defender to make a play. The second was too far toward the side of the end zone as he made the play easily but there was no real estate left.

Derrick Brown is really starting to dominate
NorthTryon replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
Brown is the most recent example that learning and perfecting your craft in the NFL takes time. I don't see how fans forget that every time a draft pick doesn't produce week 1 of their rookie year. People were actually talking about the man's weight and he's a DT. -
Tank season back on: #2 Pick in the draft currently
NorthTryon replied to Varking's topic in Carolina Panthers
Man Will Levis got embarrassed Saturday. He played way worse than Hooker and is only a year younger. I think its funny people talk about Hooker being so old, but Levis is one year younger. Levis has been super inconsistent and struggles every time they play anyone good. The draft starts with Stroud or Young and goes from there. -
Man, that was a name I hadn't thought of in a while! He literally played some seasons almost every week at a different position. What a luxury!

Inside the Carolina Panthers' three seasons of quarterback failure
NorthTryon replied to Vox's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is the part about fandom that is nauseating. I don't even try with the imbeciles on facebook and their tirades because we have people on here that don't know basic information. It was put out there to be common knowledge that Rhule had final roster control during his tenure and even eludes in the article to Tepper realizing that it needs to be more balanced going forward. People read this article then immediately post responses like "mAn, Fitterer sEeMs weAk tO meee and what a SpIneLEss chump" like none of them have a hierarchy or chain of command they don't routinely fall in line with at their job! -
Man staaaaahp! Nate Chandler played his last two seasons at UCLA as a DT and that is what he was originally signed to play. You didn't fix shite for me. But the gif was funny.

League denies refs asked Evans for autograph
NorthTryon replied to MechaZain's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well, the league has to do this because the refs have so much control over the game. Everyone on twitter was saying that they got beat 21-3 and this is a non issue. I saw two things that pissed me off. First Evans dropped the deep post and he was only open because he completely shoved DJax to the ground coming out of his break. That was obvious PI as their feet didn't get tangled or incidental contact. He straight up stiff armed him to the ground! That non call could have changed the entire complexity of the game! Secondly after the Chuba TD, the ref came over and started pushing Panther players and waiving for them to go to the benches. This would seem to be in the norm, but think about how long and over the top celebrations are after turnovers now. Let's not forget how Atlanta's chance at a win was snatched by the refs a couple of weeks ago. They do what they want and the league covers it up as they see fit. -
Same good sir! People forget we made our franchise QB play behind a line that included one Nate Chandler an undrafted DT out of UCLA.
-
I would like to add, Hartsfield has looked really good the last couple of weeks defending the slot. You can really tell the difference as the run fits have been better and defense looks overall better coached. Other than Evans shoving DJax to the ground on the deep post nobody has looked lost like the start of the season.
-
Yeah, Baker is just underwhelming all around.
-
Hahahahaha, again you are ignoring Rhule having final roster say. Ignoring obvious facts, but I'm the one with the pea sized brain. No one is saying Fitterer is so great, but he had a helluva better track record before being hired to be Rhule's rubber stamp.

Especially knowing how small that window is in professional sports.

Players hoping to help Wilks win the full time job
NorthTryon replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
All of these young OC type guys aren't working out and most of them have weak defenses. Other than the Philly OC, all of the candidates have had games this year where good defenses have made them struggle and crapped all over the genius game planning. It has to do with the personnel anyways. Norv Turner during his tenure as Dallas OC once said "people act like we're some kind of geniuses when we are just doing the obvious thing until they stop it", which at the time was feeding Emmitt. Look at Leftwich 2-3 years ago and look at him now. You need a good leader plain and simple, because sometimes the game plan is going to fail. I just find it hilarious how much hate there was for Dorsey here as a QB coach and people are literally wanting him to return as a HC. That is the reason Flores is suing the NFL. Frankly these guys haven't earned their shot and are getting jobs they don't deserve. I remember when the Browns hired Chudzinski and thought man he's not some kind of guru, he just had Cam and a lot of pieces. -
Again, Rhule had final roster say! I don't know why you keep ignoring when people say that. Fitts helped build a consistent winner in Seattle and deserves a shot. Do you not remember how many good LBs Seattle had? You have to have depth genius. Littleton, Shaq, Wilson, and Luvu are playing ahead of him and they are playing well! He is excelling on special teams. You have got to quit shitting on every post because CMC got traded dude.
-
Yesterday was a feel good win. The 9ers are reeling at this point which makes those picks look better and better. Someone said CMC would have scored on all the breakout plays today. False, as he had one against the Rams where he didn't house it. The fanboys have to let it go and root for him in San Fran. I didn't know how bad this was until seeing CMC in Top 5 lists for Panthers all time and the wailing and gnashing of teeth all week from fans. People were even tweeting we don't have a team anymore! People can call Tepper dumb all they want, but he made McCaffrey the face of the franchise, tore everything else down, became a recluse, allowed franchise cornerstones to be disrespected, alienated former players, and fans ate the shite up! I respect CMC's game and hate we couldn't win with him, but as we saw today, he as most RBs are replaceable. And we almost got the biggest haul of assets in league history outside of H. Walker and Saints' R. Williams trades. Keep the same move on energy that all of you had when we cut CAM and move your asses on for real!
-
He needs to be moved to outside LB and we should look to get a coverage safety.

Panthers are one game out of first place in the NFCS
NorthTryon replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Great win yesterday and watching Tepper give game ball to Wilks. How about it guys? Having said that, just a few more losses and Texans wins! C'mon Shellie! -
You could see the elation and excitement after his second catch yesterday. He just needed a shot. I remember being angry because Jefferson, Chase, and Moss all ate off of TMJ because he was the first breakout WR at LSU. During the game yesterday, we all were like its one thing being Norman in Rivera's doghouse, but imagine being in Rhule's. And I am so glad they are making Shi Smith earn his reps now. Football is so much about opportunities and coaches. It is sad what happens to certain guys careers.

PFT ARTICLE: The Panthers slide squarely into tank mode
NorthTryon replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
I understand where you are coming from as for the duration of this franchise's existence we have got very little outside of the first round. But the caveat is that Rhule had final say over all of the roster decisions during his tenure. This will be the first draft where Fitterer will not have to listen to Rhule wanting ex Temple, Baylor, and guys who fit his "Brand" nonsense. He helped build a consistent winner in Seattle and deserves benefit of the doubt. If he flames out, I am with you. -
PFT ARTICLE: The Panthers slide squarely into tank mode
NorthTryon replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Here is the thing though. Matt Rhule has been our GM for the past three years because he had final roster say. That is why Chuba, PJ, Robbie's extension, Joe Brady's jettisoning of Cam, and all this QB nonsense were things we had to endure. This guy helped build a consistent winner in Seattle, so he deserves a chance. Everything that we have done for the most part goes against his philosophy of stockpiling picks because I believe Rhule was reaching to win now. This had to happen, this regime or next. I have optimism Fitts can make us competitive again. He just has to get these losers that Rhule wanted to implement his brand out of here. -
Seriously, get out of my head. Everybody is so emotional that they forget Rhule had absolute "final" say over roster moves! That is why Chuba is here, that is why CJ, Temple alum, and PJ are here! Like no one else, I literally have no idea what Fitterer is as a traditional GM. He helped build a juggernaut in Seattle, so there is optimism, but dude these nuclear meltdown/pouting fits are hilarious! Speckler has lost his mind!

NorthTryon replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Wow, people are pouting so hard that they are coming up with conspiracy theories. You get a bunch of picks, the draft is deep at RB, and the team isn't good. What is not to like? -

That's out of my control," McCaffrey said, per The Athletic. "Trying to control everything I can control. … Right now I'm a Carolina Panther and giving my all to this place." Run of the mill stuff as he is saying all the right things. I just want to know who the hell this is in the picture. Made for a good afternoon laugh!
