  1. Pete Carroll literally cost himself a 2nd championship with that nonsense! Power running teams throwing on the 1 is just self hate at its finest.
  2. For some reason this is becoming a disturbing trend in the NFL. Teams are shutting down one part of their offense without causation from the opposition. Shane Steichen did it an overtime loss against Kansas City last week with the best back in the NFL. Pete Carroll allowed Chip Kelly to completely abandon the run game against Dallas the week before he was fired in Oakland as the OC. Matt Lafleur abandoned the pass instead choosing to rely on a bottled up run game when we clearly were having issues with the passing game. Big brain play callers some of them HCs are what the league wanted along with high powered offense and these dudes are making some of the dumbest situational calls I've ever seen. At least most of them are young and can learn, Canales included. I remember Norv Turner trying to throw the ball around the yard in a certain SuperBOWL, going in at halftime down 13-6. Emmitt Smith said get me the d*mn ball and took over in the 2nd half. Remember Kyle Shanahan in the 2nd half vs. the Patriots? This shite happens to the best and the brightest. We are just actively seeing it play out in real time just like Atlanta and Dallas fans before us. Also, not saying Canales is going to become either of those, just begging/hoping for our sanity he gets his shite together if he's going to be our HC.
  3. Exactly, to the point that this dude is answering everyone's posts individually and questioning Cam Newton as a player over it. This schmuck even said if Kasay could've ran down the field and stopped the ball from going out of bounds he would have. People continuing to show Cam and that fumble gif after he drug the team to a championship appearance in a MVP season, with Mike Shula as his OC, and MIke Remmers as his starting OT is proof of how much people dislike him for non football reasons! And that's the triple truth Ruth!
  4. Jaycee Horn does the same seemingly. He is super grabby and physical all game, but the refs wait till its particularly impactful in the game to call the penalties. I'm constantly holding my breath on big third down incompletions that a yellow graphic doesn't appear on screen to keep the drive going.
  5. Yeah some said Tolbert whiffed on the chip or double team help.
  6. Yeah, you may have to give them the edge considering guys like Mitchell Evans who was taken in later rounds is contributing and grading out so well.
  7. Man, Rico has a high football IQ! He's added some great suggestions to the coaching staff cause the proof is in the pudding. He went to the coaching staff on the zone pitch run that we gashed Miami with.
  8. Thanks for admitting three posts too late. I'm just messing with ya. I hope Bryce continues to play better and XL rewards great throws like Sunday with consistent hands.
  9. He does for Sunday with reinjuring ankle being tackled and then his own starting RG stomping it on 4th down. That one counts in a resounding way!
  10. And as a Bryce fan and apologist, I see you describe XL's effort on the endzone throw vs. NO as half hearted/feeble. That is why people give overzealous Bryce fans so much shite. It was a miss by him and his downfield accuracy has been awful. It was a big effort for XL to get a hand on the ball with a DB draped all over him. Because you are a Bryce apologist, you see it as a feeble and half hearted attempt. XL is an easy target. Maybe a better throw would've helped him haul in the catch with the DB riding him into the endzone. Sunday's pass was a catchable ball no more no less and he caught it. What were your thoughts when he was running wide open in the end zone a few possessions later and Bryce threw it short? Should he have given a better effort to stop on a dime and jump back towards the coverage he beat? These WRs have been getting open, but the scheming was better Sunday and Bryce played better Sunday. Its as simple as that. No need to dump on WRs when their play is directly tied to the QB you are praising. Every reception shouldn't involve some herculean effort.
  11. Nobody is listening to or observing the obvious. They dislike the kid at this point and he is going to have to have a 1500yd receiving season for them to just be quiet. XL nor any of our other WRs can truly be evaluated with the current QB play. I know you guys wanted Ladd, but the ALL 22 and anybody without an agenda can see that XL is running buck naked wide open a lot and not getting the throws. In the Green Bay game, he out ran the coverage 2-3 times and Bryce didn't even think to try to make the throw. I admit Ladd may have been better for Bryce as he does well in short spaces, but acting like XL is dumb, doesn't want to play football, hasn't been working, and doesn't care is nonsense! Remember when Dalton came in at the end of the Jets game and XL magically looked better? That change magically addressed a lot of XL's issues that day didn't it. Imagine someone better than Dalton.
  12. It is hard to call him a bust with the issues at QB. Seeing a guy running open and being missed over and over doesn't make him a bust. He has made some tough catches and made some routine catches that were on target. He has also flubbed some routine plays as well. He is an inconsistent second year WR, but he is also playing with a wildly inconsistent and at times underperforming QB.
  13. I'm confused. So coaches should be super forth coming with their injury information so fans shouldn't be angry? I haven't went back and forth with you in a while. Some of the hills you choose man.
  14. As he should. Belicheat tried to fool the other coaches so hard, he had people filming other coach's practices and attending other team functions. And he did it to the tune of six championships. Whenever it is brought up, people say things like "you do everything you can to win" or "if you aren't pushing the envelope you aren't trying to win". These things make a difference. There is an advantage to your opponent not knowing who will and won't be on the field.
  15. Joe Gilbert has done an amazing job with Ickey, Mays, and the shuffling of bodies. I remember, we fought so hard to keep Campen and Gilbert's group has looked way more prepared since he took over.
  16. What's crazy is that his spinal issues weren't his reason for only playing four games last year. That was to correct an issue he has had and been playing with since childhood. He was having shoulder stingers, so I don't know if he'll fit here. Our corners are asked to be physical and tackle.
  17. It is so weird that the league now has so many injuries since they've cut out two-a-days, playing starters in to the the third quarter in preseason at least one game, and removed a preseason game. It's like the players fighting to keep it at 16 games with four preseason games knew what they were talking about.
  18. After MLB and pass rusher, I would like to see an upgrade at corner. Thornton has looked pretty good in spot duty at outside and slot corner. I wonder if he could be part of the solution, or deserves a spot at the opposite corner down the road.
  19. That is my thought. If you are a young guy or emerge with some really good plays in rotation, what is your morale when you see a guy like Rico do transcendent stuff and get relegated to rotational carries.
  20. Mitchell Evans is continuously grading out very high week to week. He makes all the easy plays and blocks like his hair is on fire. He was working with a first to second round grade before being down graded by draft pundits for past injuries. He was a semi-finalist for the Mackey award. I believe we got a great late draft pick up. Tremble when healthy is an excellent blocker and has become more of a sure handed catcher. Sanders has to stay healthy and catch better. We have depth and if Bryce could be more consistent, maybe the stats would look better. Upgrading is not a priority right now.
  21. He is the best, most consistent guy on the team. Family man, locker room leader, he has turned out to be better than imagined.
  22. This reminds me on Madden where you create an alternate uniform and the pre-recorded voice overs talk about how hideous your uniform looks.
  23. I told somebody that today, the old QB adage. If you have two you don't have one. People forget when we had Double Trouble, there still was a clear edge of carry volume going to D-Lo until his departure. NFL is cut throat and if it takes us eventually bailing on Chuba to feature Rico, that decision may have to be made.
