  1. I would say that the two seasons where he won the award were special seasons as one being where he gained his foot hold and the other was just dominant! And you have to come off of that curmudgeonly attitude bruv. Coach of the year definitely is nothing to sneeze at. The list is pretty solid outside of the pair of Bears' coaches Jauron and Nagy. I will give you those two, especially Nagy, oh yeah and Jason Garrett. If we are talking shite coaches, you always have a point with Jason Garrett.
  2. I still find it hilarious how you all hate on a two time NFL coach of the year. Look at what is here now. What-everrrrrrr!
  3. LMAO! Yes he did. You don't apparently because you still say things like if Wiseman would've been there he would have been the pick. You have no clue what would've happened and saying that is lame. This doesn't surprise me as you epitomize lameness as evidenced by all the quoting. Also, that is revisionist history about Wiseman and I would take your bet, but who really is going to remember in 3-5 years when you can get a real body of work to choose from? Joel in Philly looked like a bust and now look at him. Ben Simmons was an All-Star and now won't even play. I'm sorry dude, but I'm just not going to care enough to be arguing with you by the time their careers pan out.
  4. This is how I know you know nothing about sports and just another fanatic. 10 times the athlete, but couldn't do anything but muster 4 fouls and 7 points against an actual good team like Gonzaga. Oh and the vaunted Houston squad who couldn't even muster 50 points against Villanova who was blown out in the final four. Yeah, they were as good as Duke. Tell me you know nothing about basketball without telling me you know nothing about basketball. They sat Nick Richards to start Williams genius! You keep harping on how slow and unathletic Williams is, but he played better against the same competition(Gonzaga) earlier in the season. You get hit with stats and you say they don't matter. You get hit with reason and logic. That don't matter either. You are officially trolling. And, you can eat a bag of dicks for thinking I'm a Duke fan. My family is legacy Tarheels, we're just not non athlete fanatic punks who can't be objective when describing basketball, because we actually know basketball. An earlier post said UNC fans like you give UNC fans a bad rap because one you can't recognize anything positive about a Duke player your pro team drafted and two you're trying to drag the greatest Tar Heel in pro history through the mud claiming things you know nothing about. Herp derp "Jordan only doing this for the money". Glad you gave up your season tickets, so others can scoop them and actually be real fans not just some punk with money in his pocket who knows very little about ball taking up the seats.
  5. You are comparing them because people are bringing up legit reasons why you are off base and you have no rebuttal. Just typing all emotional and yelling at the screen. It is going to be okay. I obviously watched Duren in a far weaker conference playing far weaker competition get lost in pick and rolls, abused in the post, and struggle with defending big men who could shoot. Then we he played serious competition from a team that had people as tall as him(Gonzaga) and he couldn't even stay on the floor with four of the dumbest fouls ever. I get it, the kid looks good in a uniform, but at this point it is starting to be a question about your basketball knowledge. Stop talking about Summer League like it was the playoffs! And you obviously didn't watch Summer League because Mark Williams started over Nick Richards in the Chicago and Cleveland games. And again, I was you. I was angry about the trade more so because teams can win without playing small ball i.e. the Milwaukee Bucks. I was thinking two big men in the east especially growing up together would be cool and how dominant they could be together defensively. Then I started thinking about having five or so other players between 6'9" and 6'11" on the team. You are immediately telling Kai Jones, Richards, PJ. Washington, and JT Thor thanks but no thanks with very little evaluation. This was the move they made and it is going to take some years before you are fully vindicated. Summer league is not the NBA Finals.
  6. I get where you're coming from man. I want to be better than play in game eligible. I actually predicted in a mock that Duren and Williams would be our picks and was ecstatic when that was the move. I was super disappointed when they made the trade and received a later pick for next year. But all of the issues you argue about Williams were said directly about Duren. After watching summer league he has some growing up to do. He was the one bent over taking gasping breaths and he played what six more minutes a game. He got put in ball screens and gave up layups over and over. He took jump shots and missed them badly. He also threw some good passes, had some nice finishes, and made some blocks. He and Williams looked pretty much similar. But right now, Williams is a better FT shooter, and played better in college. The huge chasm that you argue exists actually doesn't. I get that Duren is younger, but these one and done big men have a history of flaming out. And if you are drafting off of potential, it doesn't make sense to have both with Kai, Thor, and Richards already on your roster. The point that he can't start over Richards was put to rest as they made Richards sit and started Williams against Chicago. They both played well at times and so so other times. And trust me, I watched both during summer league intensely for the same reasons as you.
  7. Sounds like he was spot on to me. Baker is a turnover machine because he is a short pocket passer with small hands and Sam can't pass worth a damn. Add to that nugget that now Sam has PTSD. Then think about the fact that Baker whiffed with a real life video game roster offense. Someone said McAdoo should leave the scouting to the scouts. McAdoo may have a very stupid haircut, but he wasn't too far off with his assessment.
  8. After a while, people in these situations always end up just wanting it to go away.
  9. MIchael Irvin!!! Wow, you must have really saw something different at LSU than I did. Or was it because of 88? Irvin was a dominate force, the "Playmaker" from day one and this kid didn't flash at all yet. Lol is right.
  10. I disagree on the pre game speeches. That Who Dat Nation garbage was/is a direct fleecing of the Who Dey chant from the Bengals. Saints fans were just to desperate and destitute at the time to not jump on that carrot. Secondly his other pregame "We are New Awwwlins, then the 300 chant was also of lamest proportions again as people just associated it with the movie and Leonidas and got on board. Every time he did any of that bullshiggity, I changed the channel until it was over. And secondly, Rodney Harrison was big mad! Hahahahahahahaha, got ousted quickly out of the paint. There was one game he did in the rain and cold last year. You could tell on his face there was much animosity!
  11. That is because you can look back now and say they haven't done anything. Having that leadership carry over and paying those contracts out instead of overpaying for Teddy and trading away a bunch of picks definitely made more sense. It did then and now. One last year of Cam and G-Reg would've been fine compared to the debacle we witnessed. And it would've cost way less in draft capital plus contract money. You can't argue that.
  12. Haahahahahahahahha! So the 80million, four draft pics, we have wasted/used in the meantime for 10 overall wins is something you don't see as a mistake?
  13. I feel you, but imagine Diggs, Adams, and Philly and Cotchery and Ginn. Dude said better WR play wouldn't have made a difference.
  14. Hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha! One hundred percent. I was like sheeeit, he looks better than Ian right now!
  15. Boom! Me and a my friend were talking yesterday about how embarrassing that article really was. Just flat out exposed for bad roster management!
  16. I believe our owner shares that same sentiment that the coach should be the main attraction. I feel that is the main reason we jettisoned Cam, G-Reg, other veterans, and went on this current QB rollercoaster. A coach can be the main voice, but he has to earn respect and have a presence. Rhule looks like he has neither with anyone but some of his former college players. Even in New England, they eventually learned like everyone else that players are the main draw and determine locker room culture. Oh I remember when we had one of the best locker room cultures in the league led by Cam, G-Reg, Luke, TD, and JNo.
  17. Having WRs who can quickly win their match up always makes a difference. If we have a receiver who catches the wide open pass from Cam across the middle and takes it for a long gain or to the house that would've made a huge difference. SS absolutely made Talib lose his mind. Philly Brown couldn't even out run him to the pylon. In conclusion, it better WR play would and does make a huge difference as evidenced by player salary.
  18. The take you are responding to is the kind of take that kills me. He has had to deal with concussions and wrestling catches in double coverage while playing with Rodgers. Till this day, I have not seen Cam get a receiver killed the way some of these "greats" have. Not one guy has got his blocked knocked off being a Newton receiver even with the decline in his arm strength. On another note, our WR coach was jumping up and down for Devante Adams and the next year Stefon Diggs. We wouldn't have had to trade up for either, we just could've taken them where we drafted. Hindsight is 20/20, but wow at those weapons instead of KB and Funchess! This would've changed the entire trajectory of Cam's career and our winning fortunes. Cam won the MVP and went to the Ship with Philly Brown and Tedd Ginn. So this narrative of he was better off with Rodgers is bogus.
  19. Ray was better than Luke and had more longevity as well. You all know that and want to play "what about" like some lames. There is no excuse to bring up off the field nonsense like Ray being the only famous person in an altercation and wanting to blame murders on him. You don't know anything about that man's life except what you saw on the field so keep the discussion there.
  20. McKoy and Dunn love it at Carolina. Their excitement and team first/trust the coach mentality never wavered. Styles had a really good quote about how at least the freshmen this year never wavered on that even though they had little playing time. Harris is in the portal as his academics kept him off the court and I bet he didn't get his grades on track during the glitz of the tourney run. So Harris is gone, and the insiders say Walton is gone as he and Garcia have ties from AAU ball. Supposedly Walton has been down since Garcia took leave from the team. Plus the obvious of Walton doesn't fit in at all anymore(can't create own shot, no defensive ability) and would sit for two years. These other players fit the system too well. If they get Shannon Jr. from Texas Tech and everyone comes back, they are going to have a monster!
  21. Yeah, college coaches in all facets are very aggressive with players. I liken that to being at a Tennessee basketball coaching camp once. Pat Summit went up to a kid for making a mental mistake and stopped the practice to shout "Don't think I won't pull your scholarship. Get your ass in gear and quit f*cking it up!" Those type of motivational bursts are will not work with some players and you can get tuned out quickly. People analyze in a vacuum. Yeah Harbaugh got the 9ers to a championship game, but the roster had been built over the course of 8-10 years of high first round picks from the early Alex Smith days and a couple years of mediocrity before Alex. He showed up to excellent veteran leadership and a stable of horses.
  22. Our past underlings are up there showing that they should have or could have been in charge here. Our assistant GM goes up there and actually gets his QB weapons and an o-line. They have surrounded themselves with way better talent evaluators. Our former D-Coordinator actually brought in a set of guys to focus on their QB's evaluation, progress, and growth. Surprise, he made the biggest leap in QB play from one year to the next of almost anyone in history. The only issues I see are they are getting to comfortable with running Allen and McDermott doing his old prevent at inopportune times. Other than that they are light years ahead of where we are at and all of these people including Dorsey and now Brady were all once on our staff!
  23. I would have hated to be the players in the commercial. They were thinking I can't believe this is the the name they came up with and I have to stand in this bullshite and try to look cool/intimidating. Madden create a team at its finest.
  24. I remember McDermott running that prevent defense at weird times down here. With 13 seconds, the game should be over.
