I'm not disputing that, so stay focused. I was a huge SS fan on the field, but some of the stuff he did off the field was detrimental to the development of other WRs during his tenure.

Yep, Brady and Bill's preparedness plus that weak division will never be replicated for that long of a time. They had nearly 20 years of division ineptitude that almost guaranteed 5 or more wins and a division title every year. I each year maybe one team out of the four would get a win, but that was about it. Then everyone would have to go to Foxboro in January in the playoffs.

No, I mean sucker punching players in meetings who simply asked to review certain plays in film study and on the practice field while taking a knee. Literally the only WR who they were willing to pair with him for success was Moose. I mean not wanting to work with the new franchise QB in 2011(According to Greg Olsen via A Football Life), ultimately resulting in the Panthers moving on to make it Cam and Luke's team. That's what I meant by sawed off.
-
It is really amazing and cool how he has become so accommodating and willing to work with young WRs after retirement. He used to be so sawed off back in the day.

Walk off homer!

I have laughed for 10 minutes! Super Weird! The one I looked at, I remember thinking like wow, she really loves the Panthers' message board!

Person: Tepper indicates he's learning and changing his approach
NorthTryon replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, glad to hear things are changing, but he still has his wife engaged in all of this team business with the credentials of an attractive Walgreens cashier. -
Thank you! I couldn't remember his name for the life of me. Yeah, the all pro section was created during the golden age, but something told me then it would fizzle like it has. It was too much to keep up with and that was before access was kyboshed. There were podcast style interviews with players, camp action pics, in game pics, analysis, and half nekkid photos of female Huddle members. It was a definitely a party around here. When I went to camp Tepper's first year and they had all the independent photographers in this little area super far away from everything, I was like welp that's it for the independent access. I get it, before he could get in the locker room, basically had all kinds of access to the players and all of that pretty much evaporated. So, like playing pick up at the park, the rich kid(Igo) took his basketball(All Pro section) and went home.

They either are new or forgot how Igo used to be when he was more active and going to camps. That shite used to be insane! The pure vitriol he conjured up and had these people spewing over an undrafted fullback was just, wow. There was a monumental melt down after dude was routinely cut because of his lack of skill and inability to prove himself useful, simply because Igo picked him as his guy that year. Come to think of it, after a few misses like that he doesn't do that anymore.

One thing I noticed was that his line wasn't as stellar as advertised. Draft pundits tried to make it seem like a lot of the running, escaping, and problem solving he does had a lot to do with the problems he creates or because of his stature. There were all sorts of plays where he was facing free rushers and guys just got flat out beat. He definitely will succeed with time to throw and weapons.

Thomas Davis on Bryce Young and the Panthers Draft
NorthTryon replied to poundaway's topic in Carolina Panthers
And as we seen in the season opener against Denver in 2016, some defenses are like we are going to take our chances, make them call it every time. I could see teams taking their shots at Bryce to send a message, especially if he is out there carving them up and making splash plays. -
Used to call him Keek the Geek! Man was a straight Einstein out there. A scientific researcher of the game. I used to wish he had Ray Lewis type indestructability cause he would've eclipsed all the records and took home all the accolades.

You can, but I knew your argument was weak and this just further proves my position. Doherty never sniffed a title game and was such a heel, his great recruiting class Felton, May, McCants were ready to leave the university until we got Roy. CHD got the team that quit on Roy to a championship game and has the number one recruiting class coming in 24. I seen you try to downplay it as promising. No it is currently the number one class and he might not be done. So again, come up with a better comparison. 20-13 CHD current worse year is far better than 8-20. As the young kids say, your math ain't mathin. Looks like I'm not the one denying reality.
-
Will have option to pass to a TE again rather than just have undersized OTs running routes. I can barely contain myself.
-
Matt Doherty as it's spelled correctly alienated former players, alienated people close to the team, attacked players, had a breakdown, was throwing chairs, and tearing up equipment as well as losing. Bring up better examples that actually parallel CHD.
-
Most issues with blitz pick up in college are connected to scheming. When you have long developing routes for big play potential it results in issues with the blitz. Also, every QB that doesn't have a super solid line is going to struggle against the blitz. Thirdly, he didn't look to struggle at all against the defense with the most NFL defensive talent on it in Georgia.

Since you guys feel CHD should be fired after two seasons, one that included a NCAA Championship game appearance, allow me to retort. After falling to 6-6 in his 4th season at UNC Dean Smith was hung in effigy. Billy Cunningham said, "I remember the team was just very hurt by this because we realized it wasn't Coach Smith's fault," Cunningham will recall. "It was our fault. It was the players' fault. Its always the players' fault." This is the same team that participated in a mutiny against Roy and helped his decision to hang it up two years ago. It has been documented that Love, Davis, Black, Bacot have issues with each other, don't play the way they practice, don't talk on defense, take plays off, and aren't great shooters. Hubert took those same kids, minus two future 1st round post players, to the NCAA championship. For reasons you two will never admit or elaborate on, you just plain flat out do not like Davis. He shouldn't be replaced because of what he accomplished with this particular team last March, and fluke or not it happened. It is great that neither of you call the shots because how asinine would it be to fire the coach of the number one recruiting class a year before it got to campus. Your big Choices are out there post had a picture of Jerry Stackhouse! Dude Stack was about to get fired until they beat Kentucky and they still didn't qualify for the NCAAT. With what Hubert did with these players that were headaches, he should be commended and those results should point to positivity and excitement about the future. I am confident Davis will win once he gets his players in for a few years and gets these class of 19-20 kids completely out the door as they have been problems since their freshman year.

Stroud does most everything right. The only knock was he wasn't vocal enough. His teammates put that to rest.
-
Levis processes slow, holding the ball too long which causes him to take big hits. This is why he was playing through injuries all last year. I dislike him for the fact that all these excuses as to why he was bad are being made for him when I have seen analysts dog other prospects made chicken salad with their chicken shite. AR had the similar passing stats, way better running stats, is two years younger, and hasn't put it all together yet. Sam Howell didn't go on day one and he was a better prospect.

‘Draft Qb. Panthers can own the South’ Dan O.
NorthTryon replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
After the Bradburry holding call, the next day Rob Nincovich was saying how Belicheat thought of everything and Eagles coach needed to be smarter. He said that's why our DBs wore white gloves if we were playing a team with white jerseys. Ryan Clark yelled out leave it to a Patriots player to tell us how you should cheat better! -

But as good as Brady was, they had years of the Dolphins not caring about winning, the Bills sucking hind teat, and the Jets had two decent years. It was basically 6-0 in conference no matter what. I do see the Saints, Bucs, and Falcons are all in rebuild mode. The thing about them is all of them are going to have their current coaches pull them further in the gutter and things will get worse before it gets better. -
I concur! They feel like they have to have a Mel Kiper for every single sport and he is as clueless as Kiper. Even Carlos Boozer said Carolina was in after Virginia win. You have teams like Creighton who Carolina would beat by 20 as a five seed.

It would be glorious though to have a Patriots like run where we were consistent and everyone else was in turmoil for 10-15yrs!
