  1. They wouldn't because this is on the players. We seen everything work last year with Manek's shooting and the players buying into the scheme. This year, their effort is inconsistent. And people talking about yanking players, what is the man supposed to do? Sit Caleb and RJ for Trimble and Dunn? He tried sitting them during the Wake first half and it instantly turned into a blow out. Talk of firing Davis after one year is nonsense. He turned chicken shite to chicken salad last year. When this coach has his players to run his system it is going to be a problem, because we seen what that looked like for a few weeks when these kids stepped up. For the cheap seats, these are the kids that wouldn't listen to Roy and helped him to call it quits. I believe part of his excitement during the tourney was that Hubert had done so much with these selfish dudes.
  2. Could that have anything to do with the QB carousel, coaching changes, college offense, and terrible offensive line his first few years? I'm just asking for a friend who doesn't move the goalposts.
  3. That's how I felt thinking Reich and Bieniemy were the top two names in that cycle. Then out of nowhere comes this college coach with one year of experience as an OL assistant. I was so happy when he was fired last year and then Wilks almost getting the team to the playoffs honestly soured this hire initially. I told my friends both things can be true as you can be happy cause no one dislikes Frank and the excitement surrounding him, but also the history of black coaches getting leapfrogged. People that said WIlks couldn't build a competent staff were talking about Ben Johnson and Steichen. I don't think either one of those two guys could have built this juggernaut we currently have now. I was recruited by Caldwell at Wake Forest and he is a helluva down to earth guy as well as possessing all the leadership characteristics a coach needs. Growing up a Panthers' fan, I'm ecstatic about Dom Capers and his young protege. I may just attend training camp which I haven't done in 4-5 years!
  4. I can see him now in the Spartanburg heat whipping some second round WR's ass for continuously running wrong routes and or verbal DBs talking smack in practice.
  5. History has shown with the sports media machine that yes its not just fine, but the norm.
  6. McAdoo was in that first crop of OC guys that got HC jobs. He has already flamed out like Koetter, Gase, and McDaniels before him. I don't see how McDaniels got another shot, but the rest of those guys are all buried save for McVay. The new crop looks promising Daboll being the best among them. I think McAdoo can help in an offensive room, just not be the guy. And please stop acting like running the hell out of the ball and requiring way less of last year's QBs was not our only option at winning. Now if you didn't want to win that was one thing, but having Baker, PJ, and Darnold throw the ball around the field would've been a disaster. On that note, here's to better QB talent and QB play!
  7. The thing is you don't need proof. The rumors were that Cam was fake and a horrible teammate. These rumors started before his rookie season. Devin McCourty said he thought Cam was fake and me first until he was teammates with him for a season and then saw Cam's genuine nature and the emphasis he puts on personal relationships. Once the narrative machine gets going, its nearly impossible to shut down. I have heard the rumors about Stroud on at least three podcasts and heard it alluded to on NFL Network and ESPN. When I see the kid lead on the field though, its a completely different story. Most people just saw the Georgia game, but the kid stood out and put that team on his back all season.
  8. Mmmmmmm yes, sounds like it would've been one in Indy, but it was attributed to him and his wishes repeatedly upon his dismissal.
  9. Man, zone, CJ Henderson and that other guy looked horrible in all schemes. Its a moot point now, but you can't believe that Wilks coached them to stop running and look back in the backfield. Secondly, our front seven contains two-three decent players and some JAGS. Now that its been decided on Frank, let's hope he brings in some talent so we won't have to play Charmin soft zones and the same guys don't get ran by next year. That's in case the new DC wants to run an aggressive man to man, blitz-heavy system.
  10. I don't know if it will be that way unless they sign CJ Henderson and their top two CBs are out for the season.
  11. They are talking about him maybe being brought in as the Falcons' DC on Panther Wire.
  12. Hopefully he won't be as "conservative" as he was in Indy, only going for retread QBs way past their prime and never looking to draft one.
  13. Because when you are getting one sentence dismissive posts, those aren't worth responding to either. I love debating posts with laid out arguments, but too often once any football based rebuttal is made it turns in to a name calling contest or worst. Also, Wilks wouldn't be an abysmal hire. He may not be the one you want, but abysmal is laughable.
  14. Man, don't even worry about all the backlash. These dudes aren't going to stop moving the goalposts. Your opening post said everything that needed to be said and they are making you reexplain the same points over and over. I was there a few weeks ago and they literally don't care. You even shut down the argument about our defense getting weaker the year before he became Arizona's HC. You brought up the point about them firing black head coaches after one year and somebody posted a gif rolling their eyes. It is funny the way people are dismissive after you start crushing their weak arguments. Case in point, if someone is still dumb enough to say Wilks didn't adjust during the Tampa Bay game, there is no helping them. He would be one of the best options at HC for us going forward and these people showing how little they know about football post after post aren't going to change that.
  15. Exactly what it is and everybody is trying to twist it into something else. I wish more of these coordinators understood where they were at mentally with readiness. There are too many young guys getting jobs they don't deserve and it is ruining careers.
  16. First off, you don't know that man's connections so stop being dismissive like you do! We have explicitly laid out the reasoning behind him deserving a second chance after Arizona. Let me refresh you, they already hired his OC and they wouldn't draft the now All Pro QB he wanted. His stint in Cleveland was tied to Freddie Kitchens, the Ben McAdoo of the AFC and their QB, you named Baker Mayfield! But you don't care about those things because you are hyped up in the new OC minded HC wave that has produced one count it one championship run, only after one of the greatest defensive players to ever play(Von Miller) was acquired midseason to shore up a porous defense. And now that coach may call it quits, letting his coaches seek other opportunities because he doesn't want to rebuild. As far as addressing anything regarding the last few games, he is operating with Rhule's roster full of misfit toys with a few holdovers. He almost got the team in the playoffs after losing McCaffrey, having a skeleton crew of coaching staff, and multiple injuries. The team was down two, count them two starting cornerbacks against Tampa and Tampa just got their offensive tackles healthy since the first of the season. Darnold started turning the ball over and the back up CBs seriously quit running on the two long touchdown passes. Do you honestly think they were coached to look in the backfield and stop running when they thought the rush had gotten there? If you do, wow LMAO. Hard to crap on the scheme when you are literally signing baristas during the week. Again, Darnold, Henderson, these are players Rhule traded assets to acquire. Wilks argued with Rhule and Snow about personnel, it is documented. So lets talk out of our ass on a message board about things you don't know and make definitive statements LMAO, knowing damn well if these issues happened with a McVay or a Shanahan you would be chomping at the bit to make excuses and concessions. Sorry it took so long to get back to ya
  17. Man Kay Adams is just a pretty face otherwise we wouldn't know her name. One doesn't even have to go but a year back to kill her argument. Obviously she didn't pay attention to the Rams championship run and the midseason addition of one Von Miller.
  18. I seriously believe by draft time they will have talked Levis ahead of one or both of Stroud and Young.
  19. I feel like Wilks could get a competent OC in here, as I recall McAdoo was mostly the only kid willing to play with Rhule on the playground type situation. I do find it funny that ole Ben Mc at one time was the OC/QB guru that everyone currently wants here. I think about how all that started with Gase and Koetter.
  20. He would be a good addition to our new coach's staff, especially for his work with young quarterbacks(Herbert) as an example.
  21. The greatest backup to never do it! We salute him!
  22. I wouldn't be opposed to that as he couldn't be worse than Littleton, but Brandon Smith was coming along too. Yeah, if he added 15 to 20lbs he'd weigh as much as Luke and TD.
  23. With all the new permissions, NIL deal, transfer portal options, how the hell is he under possible NCAA investigation? The need for integrity only pertains to certain coaches I see.
  24. There was supposedly a story on bringing Brady in as part of a front office hire in Miami with a plan to play QB with all those weapons until Flores sued. That story was then swiftly buried. I heard it on a few podcasts and the hosts were like what's up with this? https://clutchpoints.com/dolphins-rumors-tom-bradys-big-miami-front-office-plan-that-got-ruined-revealed
  25. Yeah, but when you have competent LBs and want to get the guy on the field what are you supposed to do? I mean he has trouble covering every receiving options from RBs, TEs, and WRs. I mean a coach can't be penalized for not switching him to OLB and blitzing every play. At this point it seems he literally would be regulated to a two down weakside OLB in a 4-3 defense.
