  1. Man I still can't believe the nose dive that show took at the end. What a scene!
  2. Didn't Justyn Ross really jump off the page and excite them recently? That could've been a deciding factor or part of the process. I remember having a Chiefs preseason game on in the background and their local announcers couldn't say his name enough. I hadn't heard his name since Clemson was an unquestioned juggernaut.
  3. Couldn't have said it better! Life came at him fast! But also, get some Jones! This is for that time Cam was walking in to the endzone and he hit him with the cheap shot. He would've never done that to Brady or Rodgers!
  4. He still would've brought us our first Championship if he had the right GM. One thing about Fitts is that he does listen to OCs and position coaches. If Gettleman wouldn't have been trying to build a damn basketball team, listened to one of the greatest WRs/Coach to do it in Ricky Proehl, and drafted D. Adams instead of Kelvin as well as S. Diggs intead of trading up for Funchess: It literally would've been Christmas all year long in 15 season! Rant over!
  5. Please let us not need Dalton for anything except for on what to tell Bryce not to do!
  6. That's what I was worried about. It is much easier to slide on real grass than this new super turf and when he started his slide I jumped thinking please don't let him get caught in this turf!
  7. And like G-reg, this guy is being grossly underutilized. I'd start with a 6th and begrudgingly move up.
  8. Yeah, he is the guy you always see break free and chase the QB when there is really good downfield coverage. But that explosive, beat the guy in front of him and blast the QB type play still hasn't been put on tape. I wonder how long he lasts.
  9. Brady has struggled in preseason, but I hope that is due to lack of scheming and gameplanning. The scary issue is that he was owned so much in Jets joint practice and Giants game.
  10. They have to come up with a laughing emoticon, cause I was dying over here! Dude is indeed limited!
  11. Exactly, you have undrafted rookie and second year players with a new system they are learning play against a QB that took a team to the playoffs. He probably would've taken another if the team doctor didn't puncture his lung during a routine shot. Wilson was a top pick and had practiced against them earlier in the week. This team has young players who need to be evaluated so they can make the right cuts/moves. That evaluation is more important than preseason wins.
  12. Nah, they're QB can protect himself after interceptions and fumbles without being ridiculed or villainized like Cam. They have invested in their o-line as well. That closed our window. But yes, adding another weapon like Taylor to the stockpile would definitely take even more pressure off of Allen.
  13. The gadget plays yes, but I was alluding more to growth as a route runner. He's look kind of lost so far and seemingly can't separate.
  14. I have been pretty dismissive of all the panic this preseason. But, I do hope all of this close to the vest/vanilla playcalling explodes in the first couple of weeks as confused defenses that have no idea what we are doing.
  15. I concur that something from Laviska would be nice. He is a gadget guy, but he is a super athlete and it would be good to get something out of that acquisition this year.
  16. At this point, it has to be N. Tepper level type phone leaks!
  17. I mean that's where I'm at right now. They definitely have something to prove and fan trust to earn back, but people are talking about 1-15 to possible paperbag seasons. This thread is noodles and I wanted to point that out.
  18. Oh yeah, I have been checking out the coverage and NFC South talk always starts with New Orleans. Carr can put up some big numbers, but he really struggles under the bright lights. It could click with this change of scenery, but he had really good talent around him for years with little to no post season success to show for it.
  19. I don't know if they do know what any kind of football looks like seeing as they are having these kind of reactions over preseason.
  20. I just can't see betting anything on Derek Carr. He is terrible and couldn't get it done with one of the top two WRs in football. On top of that Kamara is suspended to start the season. This division is super up for grabs and the Saints shouldn't scare anybody.
  21. It has now been confirmed that the Facebook fans have infiltrated the huddle. Last week Frank talked at length about how they weren't worried and how vanilla the playcalling was to reporters. The third comment from a fan was "Not buying it". It is like the guy who ESPN magazine interviewed in the fan issue has cloned himself or opened several accounts. He said that J. Kasay was the most selfish player in team history and couldn't wait for the team to go three and out so he could grab his helmet to trot out there smugly. This negativity is ridiculous and indicative of a huge lack of football knowledge.
  22. The thing about OL is continuity. First of all, they are learning a new offense. Second, they are subbing guys in and out like crazy. At least Friday they let one set get more than one drive together. Third, Brady has looked pretty overwhelmed the last two weeks going against some premiere defensive tackles and add in Ickey's brain farts as someone put it. Lastly, again for the cheap seats, they are being crazy vanilla and I know winning preseason games are very important to fans, but scheming also takes in account the line shifts as well as the protections. Give this group some time to get fully healthy and gel. RG will look a lot better, Ickey will get some chip help, and there will be a game plan! Go to the hot mic thread and read how David Newton was caught talking about putting out bad OL press for clicks.
  23. Ahhh, I hear ya. I can see them definitely making it look like they were set and in love with every pick on the Blueprint.
  24. Thank you captain obvious! I know all of that. What did I say? Hmmm, that's right, I said that you can have a good season. The flipping out and chicken little type reactions after our first preseason game was uncalled for nonsense. I get the Facebook crowd doing that as they are mostly imbeciles that know very little about football, but here. And if that wasn't ridiculous enough, people double downed after hearing what the coach said. This will look a lot better once things are schemed up and actual game planning takes place. Case in point, the team so thoroughly dominated the Jets in the first practice Saleh lost his mind and made them practice on their own after practice was cancelled. The clips have been all over TV from Hard Knocks.
