FSU will likely start out next year in the top 10, and probably be considered the top challenger for Clemson.

At first, the interception celebrations were kind of cool. But they are getting old now. Need to come up with something unique, or just hand it to the ref.

Baker is playing well. The Rams as a whole are not.

With Rhule as head coach, I am not sure prime Tom Brady or Joe Montana would work here.

We also had 4 3 and outs out of 5 first half possessions. And in the second half, we had 2 red zone trips in the fourth qtr that end up with field goals. Both the offense and the defense lost that game because the steelers dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides. Our offense couldn't run, and while Darnold played fairly well when he got time, he was under pressure a lot. And our defense couldn't stop the run and couldn't pressure the passer, which allowed a scrub like Trubiski to carve us up.

David Tepper is keen on Will Levis

I am confused. Didn't he try to get Deshaun Watson? Has he changed his mind on going after established QB's?- 122 replies

Thinking about buying some playoff game tickets thru ticket master or seatgeek. How does it work if we don't make the playoffs? Do they refund the full price, or do they subtract fees from the refund?
-
Does it? Perhaps if we look at it with tunnel vision (only at our team), it does. But if you look at numbers around the league, it doesn't seem like so much. Heck, Carson Wentz is making 30 million a year, and I would much rather have Darnold than Wentz. I mean if you look at the average qb salary in the NFL this year, that will place him about 20th or so on the list. And a lot of guys that are beneath him are on their rookie contract, so they might be passing him in a couple of years. If we give him a 3 year contract, it would mean that by 2025, he would be one of the lowest paid starters in the league (assuming he is still our starter). As I said, it would be slightly above what Marcus Mariota makes this year, but he has had a better year than MM. No more than 3 or 4 years, with as much cap hit as possible front loaded.
-
There is still a Bojangles in the stadium, right? I am sure Tepper could convince the franchise to hook Darnold up.
-
10-13.9 million per year. That would be more than Marcus Mariota, but less than Jameis Winston. And I would throw in free Bojangles.

Sticking with Piniero was the right choice
Davidson Deac II replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
He has done well, although I still want to see what he does in game winning situations. Irt making the right choice, I don't think we had that many other options though. Any kicker we picked up at that stage wasn't exactly likely to be the next Justin Tucker. -
Meh, Franchise quarterback can't really be established in College. Have to see how they do in the NFL for a year or two before that can be judged. I wouldn't mind if we keep Darnold and draft a qb anyway. But we may keep Darnold and see what we have in Matt Corral. That is less desirable, but will just have to keep our fingers crossed than one of the two work out. But of paramount importance to me is ensuring we have the right staff and team around whomever our qb is. If Wilkes is the guy, and Mcadoo sticks around, then I would want to see us bring in a good qb coach at least.
-
You are correct, although I will say our passing game has been more efficient as of late. Still not great, but adequate at least. I am more focused on how our defense looks against Tampa and the Aints. Both of them have looked terrible recently, and if our defense performs fairly well, then we might not need a lot of offense.
-
Both are allowing 4.5 ypc. And Arizona lit up the Bucs on the Ground last night, averaging nearly 6 ypc. Unfortunately, the Cards passing game was terrible.
-
Well, that is probably ball game. They will run it and kick it. Going to have to earn it if we are going to win the division.
-
Well, if this game ends in a tie, it likely eliminates the possibility of a three-way tie.
-
So I wonder how it impacts the scenario if this game ends in a tie? Probably eliminates the possibility of a threeway tie.
-
Has he tried to run it?
-
Someone actually scored a td. Hard to believe that there were people who thought that the Cardinals couldn't win. Of course, its not actually over.
-
Looks like the Aints would be eliminated with a loss, regardless of what we do next week.
-
This game is a 70's throwback game.

Boooooooh

Well, Mcsorley finally hits on one.

Dortch the torch having a good night. About the only receiver that can say that.

Brady should have stayed retired.
