Forty Whiners committing to many bad penalties on this drive.

By that definition, Cam was never franchise qb. He threw off the wrong foot a lot. IMO, a franchise qb is a guy who can consistently score points for several years. By that definition, Hurts has the potential to be not just a franchise qb, but an elite qb.

This is starting to get nasty with coach wilks.

This is why I never watch any of those shows. I watch the games, read an occasional article, along with a few things here, and that is about it. -
Do you trust Reich to find us (and develop) a franchise QB?
Davidson Deac II replied to t96's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fwiw, there are a couple the could have drafted, Jalen hurts and Lamar Jackson. Had they done so, Reich might still be a Colt. Of course, that is hindsight. But sometimes it pays to take a chance on those lesser regarded QBs -

If the guy we draft is the next Pat Mahomes or Joe Burrow, it would be worth it. But of course, that's a big if. -
Let's hope it is

Finding the right QB is as much luck as it is skill. If he didn't get Brady wit a 6th round pick, odds are that most of us wouldn't know who Bill B is. -
Reality is that the vast majority of NFL coaching hires don't win the big game. But Reich's experience and somewhat decent previous results give him a better chance than most, if he gets the right group of players

Go on record now before the hire is made Re: Sean Payton
Davidson Deac II replied to GOAT's topic in Carolina Panthers
Unless they hire a ax murdered or something along that lines, it would be absurd to stop being a fan because of a coaching hire. That being said, I am not sure what good it does to hire Payton if we have to give away a bunch of picks and he can't get a decent qb. -
No doubt and that is the point. For that matter, I imagine most of the Panthers don't live in Charlotte.
-
Well, if you are making NFL money, I am not sure it matters what city you live in.

Instead of 28-3, 31-6?
-
Why would you get grief for that? Parsons is one of the best in the league. Now if you said Parsons was better than Luke K, then you would deserve some grief.

If this is Brady's last game, its going to be an ignominious end to a fantastic career.
-
He has missed three xp's all year. Missed four tonight He has to be injured.
-
So just ask her how Jerry's boys are going to screw this one up in the second half. Ok, ask her from a distance.
-
Brady is an idiot if he goes to that franchise. I mean, they are not Texans/Browns level foolish, but they aren't far removed from those two.
-
Dam, somebody needs to ensure the Dallas kicker didn't bet on Tampa. Or see if he is injured. He has actually been a decent xp kicker for them.
-
Regardless of what happens tonight, I think Brady is done as a Buccaneer. Maybe he moves on to SF or some other team, but if he is smart, he hangs it up as one of the greatest ever.
-
Could anything make you quit the team?
Davidson Deac II replied to Brooklyn 3.0's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, in hindsight, he was done. I still wish we had kept him for the last year to see what he had, and if he failed, then draft someone. Signing Bridgewater to replace Cam wasn't much of a upgrade. -
Who you pulling for tonight? Bucs or Cowboys?
Davidson Deac II replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I am rooting against the Cowboys. That is all I have to say about the matter. -
Lamar could be gone……Article ahead.

Like Matt Rhule and Phil Snow did with Darnold? Stats are facts, anything else is just an opinion. I agree about the college numbers, but I think NFL stats matter a great deal when making a decision on who to choose. Of course, other things matter to, but certainly his stats should factor in a great deal when making a decision. I have no real opinion on Jackson one way or the other. But I think if we get a guy like Jackson, we also have to get a coach who can build and design a good offense around him. -
If Miami wins, this will be one of the biggest playoff upsets ever. I still think Buffalo will win though.
