  1. We could get 5-6 wins. If the stars align. Dallas, Arizona, and Tampa at home are possibilities. Interesting thing though. Our game against Tampa could be a battle for second place in the NFC South (showing how bad the division is this year).
  2. I didn't watch, but did he get sacked because he was extending plays, holding on to the ball to long, or were they getting thru before he had a chance to even set up?
  3. Based just on today's results, I would add Daniel Jones in there as well. He may have had more yards per attempt, but when you throw to the other team, that negates everything else.
  4. Yeap. Receivers drop passes, qb's mess up throws, coaches make bad calls, defenders get burned. I never get annoyed when one or two of these things happen in a game. In the end, the team that wins is usually the team that makes fewer of those mistakes.
  5. I suppose it depends on your definition of tanking. I don't consider a couple of trades tanking. The CMC trade for us wasn't tanking, just getting draft picks for a guy who wasn't healthy much. And they wanted to play Howell and see what they had. Tanking to me is what Miami did a few years ago, when they basically got rid of a lot of players, and it hasn't got them much other than the ability to challenge for a wildcard spot.
  6. Pinero was 2-2, and hit his longest fg of the season.
  7. I noticed the same thing. Passing yards across the board seemed to have dropped. And points as well. So far for this week, only three teams have surpassed the 30 point total, two of them in one game.
  8. Dam, Mayfield might have just made the best play of his career.
  9. So did Moody for the forty whiners.
  10. Happens with rookies. He has all the physical tools, remains to be seen if he can put it together.
  11. Forty niners should have offered us a first for Pinero. Moody is potentially costing them the game.
  12. Probably, but it won't really matter. They do that to a lot of teams. We have a couple of years before we have the potential to compete with great teams.
  13. I think focusing on the run game and limiting the number of times Bryce throws it also keeps the pressure off helps as well. Of course, playing decent defense against bad teams helps Bryce more than anything.
  14. Not sure if Purdy will ever become the next Joe Montana, but he can make some nice throws on occasion.
  15. Yardage total is irrelevant for today's game. Its quite clear they are being extremely careful with him. In part to help his confidence, and in part (for this game) because the Giants run defense is so bad. Today was old school football, and Canales is smart for running it that way until he gets more comfortable with Bryce.
  16. I should caveat this and say that Bryce did make a couple of nice throws on that first drive.
  17. Amazing how when players start playing a little better, coach starts looking a little better.
  18. Didn't screw up, didn't do anything great. I think Dave is trying to bring him and the offense, along very slowly. First drive was mainly the Chuba show.
  19. No. Definitely want to know what a backfield with Chuba and Brooks will look like though.
  20. Agree 100%. And even with loads of talent, all coaches make some questionable calls.
  21. Not counting the three in OT, I thought Chuba had about the perfect number of carries (25). At some point, he needs more help from the rest of the offense (passing and another running back).
  22. So if it happens, then does that mean Andy Reid might be on the chopping block.
