  1. That is what a coach should do. Doesn't mean it actually was his fault.
  2. I don't know about hitting the ground, but I recently dropped my S21 plus in the deep end of a pool. I had to dry out the charging port, but other than that, the phone is fine. Personally, I would just go with the otterbox and a good screen protector.
  3. The oline played well. It didn't matter. Bryce had time and just missed everything.
  4. Losing Brown sucks, but given our performance yesterday, we could probably afford to lose every starter
  5. Unfortunately, Foxball requires better defense than we showed
  6. If they are uninspired in the first game of the season, then they won't be playing long in the NFL.
  7. The offensive line played well in pass blocking. The oline is supposed to open holes in the run game. And they did fairly well in the early part of the game. Thru the first 16-17 minutes, we averaged about 4.5 per carry. But once we got down 20-0, the run game was abandoned.
  8. Well, at least we don't have the worst play of the day. That honor belongs to Will Levis. He made a horrific mistake that allowed the Bears to take the lead and win the game.
  9. Maybe that was the one game that Chark showed up because that was the one game we had a qb who could get the ball to him. People say we have no playmakers, but other than Mingo's fumble, when did any of our receivers actually have a chance to make a play and didn't make it. Johnson was running free in the secondary and Bryce overthrew him by ten feet for what would have been a big play. Can't be a playmaker when your qb is throwing balls that Mr Fantastic couldn't catch.
  10. If you are referring to the Taylor sacks on blitzes, not really sure that is on the oline. There was one were someone, Sanders I think, went in motion and into the backfield, leaving Taylor alone. And I think Taylor had the option to blitz himself when he was uncovered. The announcers blamed the QB, but I am not so sure.
  11. I thought Miles Sanders was running hard today. But If the passing game continues to be as bad as it was today, we could have Earl Campbell back there and it wouldn't help.
  12. Personally, I thought the Oline played well. Except for the Taylor sacks on blitzes from the outside, Bryce mostly had time. And those sacks were on the backs, or scheme, or Bryce himself. In fact, the most depressing thing about the passing attack today was that Bryce had time, and still played terribly. Didn't get to see enough of the run game to judge.
  13. First half was the worst half of football we have ever played as a team. Qb and defense were horrible. With the Delhomme losses, we could point to one aspect of the team and say that was it. Today, the defense was horrible, special teams was horrible, and the only bright spot was that the oline gave the qb time, unfortunately, he couldn't take advantage of it.
  14. If Sanders doesn't improve over yesterday, he may not have much of a choice.
  15. Worst ever? Brian Saint Pierre. Worst qb who started more than a handful of games, it would be close between Clausen and Young. As far as price we paid to get him, its Young by a mile.
  16. Cameron Ward has looked good, and doesn't have super elite talent around him. I wouldn't mind taking him in a later round. Plus we do well with Qbs named Cam.
  17. He was a more accurate thrower, no doubt about it. But Clausen had a glacially slow release.
  18. Thielen was the leading receiver. Mingo despite the fumbles, was second. XL was third. But it is impossible to judge the receivers when the quarterback is overthrowing them by ten feet. Johnson was running thru the secondary wide open and Bryce Overthrew him on what would have been at least a 20 yard gain, and maybe more.
  19. Yeah, Caleb played pretty bad today. Might get better, but certainly an inauspicious start.
  20. Meh, we don't really know that yet. Wasn't it 2021 when many were saying it was a great qb class, but it turned out to be really bad.
  21. Given that Bryce overthrows him by 10 feet, its really hard to judge.
  22. Ironically Miles Sanders has been the offensive bright spot today. Him and Theilen.
  23. I expected us to lose, although not this bad. But the goal with this season is the same it was yesterday. See if we have a qb in Bryce (and it seems we have an answer to that question). And if not, get another qb next year. We shouldn't judge Canales unless we look this bad every game.
  24. At this point, they need to tell Bryce to never throw when he is running forward. Its an automatic overthrow. Just tuck it and run.
