It would mean a lot to me if the Panthers won this week
Davidson Deac II replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sorry to hear that. My sister and niece went thru something similar last year. My brother in-law died at the age of 53 due to pancreatic cancer. He was a good man, who died just after the birth of his third grandchild. The oldest grandchild might remember him in a few years, I doubt the others will. I hope you find some peace in the memories you have with him. -
I agree with you. I will just say that each game will be a test for him, and on the first test, he got an f.

I don't think there is a majority that didn't want him. Some did, more didn't, but most (like me) were willing to take a wait and see attitude. As one of the wait and see'rs, at this point there is going to be a lot less willingness to wait if we don't see something positive.

I thought I told you that adding LSD to beer was a bad idea.

The last pick 6 was just a terrible decision. Bills secondary is taking away Hill and Dolphins are having trouble compensating.

Tua is having a horrible night. Just threw his third int of the night, an ugly pick 6. Bills up 31-7.

That is what a coach should do. Doesn't mean it actually was his fault.

Anyone have a "rugged" smart phone?
Davidson Deac II replied to Paa Langfart's topic in Huddle Lounge
I don't know about hitting the ground, but I recently dropped my S21 plus in the deep end of a pool. I had to dry out the charging port, but other than that, the phone is fine. Personally, I would just go with the otterbox and a good screen protector. -
Derrick Brown potential season ending knee injury

The oline played well. It didn't matter. Bryce had time and just missed everything. -

Losing Brown sucks, but given our performance yesterday, we could probably afford to lose every starter -
Best and worst Performances from Saints Game

Unfortunately, Foxball requires better defense than we showed -
If they are uninspired in the first game of the season, then they won't be playing long in the NFL.

Best and worst Performances from Saints Game
Davidson Deac II replied to Chad_Cota's topic in Carolina Panthers
The offensive line played well in pass blocking. The oline is supposed to open holes in the run game. And they did fairly well in the early part of the game. Thru the first 16-17 minutes, we averaged about 4.5 per carry. But once we got down 20-0, the run game was abandoned. -

Well, at least we don't have the worst play of the day. That honor belongs to Will Levis. He made a horrific mistake that allowed the Bears to take the lead and win the game. -
Maybe that was the one game that Chark showed up because that was the one game we had a qb who could get the ball to him. People say we have no playmakers, but other than Mingo's fumble, when did any of our receivers actually have a chance to make a play and didn't make it. Johnson was running free in the secondary and Bryce overthrew him by ten feet for what would have been a big play. Can't be a playmaker when your qb is throwing balls that Mr Fantastic couldn't catch.

If you are referring to the Taylor sacks on blitzes, not really sure that is on the oline. There was one were someone, Sanders I think, went in motion and into the backfield, leaving Taylor alone. And I think Taylor had the option to blitz himself when he was uncovered. The announcers blamed the QB, but I am not so sure. -

I thought Miles Sanders was running hard today. But If the passing game continues to be as bad as it was today, we could have Earl Campbell back there and it wouldn't help. -

Personally, I thought the Oline played well. Except for the Taylor sacks on blitzes from the outside, Bryce mostly had time. And those sacks were on the backs, or scheme, or Bryce himself. In fact, the most depressing thing about the passing attack today was that Bryce had time, and still played terribly. Didn't get to see enough of the run game to judge. -
Worse opening game ever in our history?
Davidson Deac II replied to Grendel's topic in Carolina Panthers
First half was the worst half of football we have ever played as a team. Qb and defense were horrible. With the Delhomme losses, we could point to one aspect of the team and say that was it. Today, the defense was horrible, special teams was horrible, and the only bright spot was that the oline gave the qb time, unfortunately, he couldn't take advantage of it. -
Who are You Drafting with the #1 Pick of 2025???

If Sanders doesn't improve over yesterday, he may not have much of a choice. -
Is Bryce the worst Panthers QB of all time?
Davidson Deac II replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Worst ever? Brian Saint Pierre. Worst qb who started more than a handful of games, it would be close between Clausen and Young. As far as price we paid to get him, its Young by a mile. -

Cameron Ward has looked good, and doesn't have super elite talent around him. I wouldn't mind taking him in a later round. Plus we do well with Qbs named Cam.
