Maybe he was always this good, just had to find the right defense/coaching staff/surrounding players to bring it out in him.

Its not just the amount of points though. We had several long time consuming drives last night. We only had the ball four times in the entire second half (assuming nfl box score is correct). Two td's, one field goal, and ran out the clock on the last one. That is extremely efficient.

I don't really care about PFF, its rather pointless. The oline struggled at times last night, but seemed to do a lot better in the 4th qtr. Late in the game, Sam had time and the running backs had some holes to run thru. We were able to run the ball even when they knew we would be running the ball. One interesting thing from last night. We didn't punt one single time in the entire second half. We either scored or ran out the clock.

For the defense, Dallas will be a bigger test than either Minnesota or Arizona. I hate Dallas, but Dak at this point in his career than either Cousins or Murray. And the Cowboys are getting over five ypc in the run game. They have a very balanced attack.

Started a little ragged, but overall it was a great second half by the offense.

Hubbard has played fairly well in the second half.

The Texans have some good receivers. If Deshaun hadn't screwed up, he could be having a pretty decent year.

I agree about the dline. If memory serves, we went out and signed Allen just for that reason. But I think you are underestimating the secondary. Had some age on it, but all in all, the secondary played very well that season.

I think the 2002 d was the best panther defense I ever saw. They just go no help from the offense.

He played on teams that were far more talented than the teams they were playing against. Just like most of the qb's that were drafted in the first round this year. So far, of the ones that have actually played, it seems like only Mac Jones has adapted well. But he probably went into the best situation.

Personally, I am more concerned about run blocking, or lack thereof at this point in the season. Right now, we are bottom five in the league in ypc, even with CMC back. Of course, the Saints have a very good run defense, and the Jets run d wasn't bad last year. But we don't get much push, especially in short yardage situations.

Power polls and such at this point in the season are largely based on where you started. A good win over the saints will bump us up some, but expecting to be top ten is unrealistic. But this isn't college and polls don't matter. Only matters how many we win and lose.

At this point, I would rather trade for a kicker. That is not to say LT is not a need, it is. But we are better off there now than at Kicker.
